This is one of the Portuguese youth hostels and it is right next to the historic centre of Guimarães, considered World Heritage since 2001. ||||The only problem I experienced was that you could ear almost every noise through the walls. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.||||I was in a double bedroom with bathroom. The beds are very comfortable and the maid comes everyday to clean the bedroom and bathroom.||||Besides the double bedrooms there are multiple bedrooms with 6 beds and an apartment for 4 with kitchenette.||||A good money saver is the Kitchen and Laundry Room. Although you can use the plates, forks, knives, etc., they have there for everyone to use, it is better that you take your own. Like I did as you can see in the picture. The pots and pans are there for you to use as well.||||In the common areas there are vending machines of cold and hot beverages and snacks.||||The breakfast is simple but enough to give you lots of energy for the long walks you'll take to visit the city of Guimarães: 2 loafs of bread, 1 slice of cheese + 1 slice of ham (or 2 of cheese or 2 of ham), a piece of butter, a piece of jam, 1 yogurt or 1or2 pieces of fruit, cereal, hot or cold milk, coffee and chocolate powder.||||The people who work there are very friendly and polite.||||It really is located very near the center of Guimarães. You'll only have to walk up one short street and you're there! I never used the car to go anywhere. You can park the car right in from of the hostel to take out and put back in your luggage but it is better to park it during your stay in the street behind the hostel or a bit back in the street you go from the center to the hostel.||||Enjoy your stay! ;)
