I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. It’s newly renovated, with clean, cozy, and comfortable rooms. We stayed for five nights in a private room, and everything was quiet and relaxing. The kitchen is spacious, and the room was well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
On New Year’s Eve, a group of us, including fellow guests and staff, went together to the fireworks and the New Year’s party at the Grand Parade area. It was such an amazing experience, and I had a great time celebrating with everyone.
Everything about this hostel was perfect, but I do have one small suggestion: adding some hangers in the rooms and bathrooms would be a great improvement, especially for winter guests like us who needed space to hang jackets and towels. It’s a minor detail, but overall, the hostel was absolutely fantastic!

Great location! Close to the waterfront. Newly renovated, so, everything looks very new and clean. The staff were very nice and friendly. The beds are a bit too stiff but I didn’t mind. Probably the most clean and comfortable hostel I’ve stayed at so far. Would definitely recommend! :)

This hostel deserves a new TripAdvisor page! It is a totally new entity! Absolutely everything is brand new! The rooms, the common areas, kitchen and even a new rooftop patio are all completely redone but in a way that respects the heritage status of the building. Everything is super functional and the location remains tops….2 mins walk to the waterfront, and the VIA Rail/Maritime bus station. It’s also easy to get here on the 320 bus from the airport with a quick transfer to the 7A downtown. ||The rates currently are super reasonable, even for the private rooms….my room even had an en-suite bathroom. The renovations will just blow you away….have a look at the photos!

In 2019, I spent the first two nights of a 2 week backpacking trip here.
I remember I almost didn't get a bed because of a miscommunication error between the staff member I spoke to on the phone when I called prior to my trip, and the staff member working the front desk when I arrived; it all worked out in the end, thank god.
Being my first time staying at a hostel, I was a little nervous, as I heard negative stories; however the staff and fellow travelers staying there were all super friendly and gave me a warm welcome to the east coast. 😊

I stayed at this hostel for several nights with a tour group. ||||Positives - the room was clean and reasonably large with lockers. The kitchen was very large however, I didn't really use it much so can't give an opinion on the cookers/amenities. They have a tv room which is nice to chill in, with lots of dvds. Very good location, close to the waterfront and bars/restaurants. ||||Negatives - the whole place is a little run down, and the bathrooms on the top floor are horrible (very small and grotty), however, the bathrooms in the basement and second floor are much nicer.
