I stayed at Hi Ho Beach Apartments for 6 nights during the Easter school holiday period—a peak time—paying $1,850. Value for money wasn’t fantastic when you compare the quality of the apartment to the price, but considering the high occupancy season, I understood.
The location is exceptional: just 2 minutes’ walk to Kurrawa Beach, close to supermarkets, nice restaurants, and only about 7 minutes to the tram stop which easily connects you to the theme parks and the rest of the Gold Coast. It’s an unbeatable base if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring.
Check-in was easy even on a public holiday, using a secure key safe box. However, there was a mix-up with the key, and I had to move rooms the next day—not ideal, especially getting knocked on the door at 7 AM to deal with it. Paul from the management team handled it professionally, offering a bottle of wine and assistance with the move, which I really appreciated.
The staff were friendly, and the small pool was a nice touch. The apartment itself is quite basic and could use some attention: the carpets are aged, the floor wasn’t cleaned well, and the overall cleanliness could definitely improve. That said, the hot water worked fine and everything else functioned without issues.
Noise from traffic was noticeable from the 5th floor, particularly at night, so light sleepers should take note. Otherwise, the location and convenience outweighed these small issues for me.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to stay right in the heart of Broadbeach with easy beach and city access. I would return, but next time I’ll aim for a quieter week for better rates—and I hope they focus more on floor cleanliness moving forward.
