We have stayed at Hi Ho Holiday Apartments twice now. The staff are amazing, very helpful and friendly. The reception area is really lovely, the pool and area around it is very well kept. Our apartment, located on the third level was very comfortable, with a view across to the park and we could see the beach from the balcony. The location is excellent, so close to everything. Bonus also is a new cafe right next door which opens early and closes early afternoon, with great coffee, food and very friendly staff.

rooms are clean but old. spacious bedroom, good size lounge, with smart TV and free wifi. Cramped, old bathroom with toilet behind door, kitchen okay but sink is in corner of bench so hard to reach, dining suit was good with ample space. Most of balcony was taken by a table far too large for the space. Good location for price.

WARNING ⛔️ Bed bug infestation which was disgusting and nightmarish. Fully mature bed bugs in the bed sheets. Ruined mine and my dad’s holiday. Had to go to hospital for allergic reaction it was that bad. Took 3 weeks to get better. The manager (older English man) didn’t even want to refund us the night of the incident. Then said he’d refund the medical costs of the steroid creams. I had to go to the doctor and then hospital. We sent him the bills and he never replied. He will surely reply something here but is not to be believed. That is honestly the worst experience of my life. He also acted like it wasn’t a big deal when we showed him. Steer clear of this place because the hygiene is level 0 and we had to find alternate accommodation in the high season and waste $400 on medical bills as well.

Lovely staff member on reception who proactively managed the room not being ready at check jn. Fab location, close to beach and shops/restaurants. Convenient underground parking for one car per apartment. 1 bedroom apartment on upper floor had a lovely view and was spacious. Received in grubby condition (which is not entirely unexpected during peak season). Bits of jewellery on bedside table and grocery item in fridge indicated a less than thorough clean. Big smear on the glass dining table and gritty floor (although this is common with the 90s tiles). Overall, an appropriate apartment for a last minute booking in peak season with a budget of less than $500 per night.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Blocked bathroom drain caused flooding after one shower. Reported Friday night and left overnight without a hygienic bathroom. No manager available, no alternative offered. Management later claimed the issue was resolved and that leaving was our “choice,” which does not reflect the situation at the time. Very disappointing response and lack of accountability. Read recent reviews carefully before booking.

We have stayed here before 6th floor front room views perfect could not say the same for room service & standards very dissatisfying considering we stayed a week .Staff not as friendly as they could be & cleaners did not do a very good job didn’t vacuum properly.Security re the under ground parking the gate to this area did not close or was closed at all .Staff at times difficult to contact .Even though rooms have been upgraded overall we enjoyed our stay but will seek alternative accommodation next visit

I stayed at Hi Ho Beach Apartments for 6 nights during the Easter school holiday period—a peak time—paying $1,850. Value for money wasn’t fantastic when you compare the quality of the apartment to the price, but considering the high occupancy season, I understood. The location is exceptional: just 2 minutes’ walk to Kurrawa Beach, close to supermarkets, nice restaurants, and only about 7 minutes to the tram stop which easily connects you to the theme parks and the rest of the Gold Coast. It’s an unbeatable base if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring. Check-in was easy even on a public holiday, using a secure key safe box. However, there was a mix-up with the key, and I had to move rooms the next day—not ideal, especially getting knocked on the door at 7 AM to deal with it. Paul from the management team handled it professionally, offering a bottle of wine and assistance with the move, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly, and the small pool was a nice touch. The apartment itself is quite basic and could use some attention: the carpets are aged, the floor wasn’t cleaned well, and the overall cleanliness could definitely improve. That said, the hot water worked fine and everything else functioned without issues. Noise from traffic was noticeable from the 5th floor, particularly at night, so light sleepers should take note. Otherwise, the location and convenience outweighed these small issues for me. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to stay right in the heart of Broadbeach with easy beach and city access. I would return, but next time I’ll aim for a quieter week for better rates—and I hope they focus more on floor cleanliness moving forward.
