HI Hostel Lille Stéphane Hessel

I think this place is great! They do serve gluten free food! And the rooms are not bad they all have chargers and good beds! Food is or can gluten free and is great. They have a pool table as well. 4 beds a shower but no toilets but the public toilets are not that far. And they have a great shared balcony! Over all a great place if your visiting France like me.

Stayed with one other in a triple room which had plenty of space for us both: one single bed and bunk beds. It was all very clean and could not be faulted from the description. Our window looked out across a street and could be opened wide to let in air but also close a blind at night. Was surprisingly cheap as a last minute booking and we got what we asked for

It's about 35 years since I last stayed at a youth hostel in France, so some trepidation on my part as I set off on a new adventure of hostelling and Interrail (last done in 1990). Thank you to the staff here... I enjoyed my stay and I'll definitely come back. I would just like to apologise for inflicting my schoolboy French on you! Merci.

Affordable, clean, and super chill vibes. Perfect if you’re on a budget. The shared spaces make it easy to meet other travelers or just chill. The staff are lovely and kind. They were very helpful. Thanks to Ehab and his collogues for making the stay smooth and easy.

25 minute walk from Eurolille, very convenient. Breakfast was okay for what you pay for. Slept in a 4 person dorm and had a friendly crowd. No shower gel nor locks to rent, bring in advance!

The staff are very helpful and kind. The rooms were great! Depending on what you want to do on your trip this location is in a calmer area and further from the city centre which could be good or bad depending.

I stayed here twice, for a few nights in the dorm! Spacious dorms with cleanliness and a very helpful staff! If you could find an alternative of the showers in the dorm, that would be amazing ! A bit more pressure would be nice haha

the rooms are ok, not pretty. for the same money i have stayed in much much nicer hostels. breakfast is very bad - not worth the money - rather go out to bakery and buy something tasty. showers are bad, but toilets were nice and clean

This place is great. The building itself is futuristic, certainly not like any other hostel I've seen. Everything is brand new and is well maintained with the room being spotless. All the staff I encountered were nice and helpful. I've only knocked off a star as it's a bit of a walk from central Lille and I couldn't find much nearby (except a supermarket) and some people may find the modernity a bit sterile (although it was great for my needs).
