Budget-friendly hostel with interesting architecture and kind, helpful staff. I skipped the breakfast for French pastries, but it’s nice to have hot drinks available before leaving. They don’t provide towels, shampoo or soap, so be sure to bring your own. It’s also better to bring flip-flops if you plan to use the shared bathrooms.
With the tram, you can easily reach the train station, or you can walk about 30 minutes to Lille city center. Don’t expect a nice view from the windows. If you’re using the hostel mainly for sleeping, it’s an affordable option with an okay location. They offer both single beds and bunk beds. You can use the kitchen. One downside is that the walls are quite thin, so you can hear everything if people are talking in the corridors..
