This hostel was overall average. Although there was no AC i found it easy to fix this problem by using the large fan that was provided and opening the balcony door. I was in a room that fitted eight people and the half i was on was extremely crammed, when we went to pack the cases wouldn’t fit so we ended up having to individually pack. Four people where sharing the shower room that was surprisingly spacious and there was a section to put clothing in so it would stay dry, the shower was also very cold for people too cool down and hot if people wanted to warm themselves up. The hostel had very thin walls which made it hard to talk to friends in the evening as lots of people would be banging on doors shouting at you. The bathroom was communal and would be shared with four rooms two of six and two eight, in the bathroom there was no sink so you were unable to wash your hand after using the toilet. The beds were mainly comfy but the bedsheets were stained with blood and food, we also weren’t provided with sheets till our second night. The sink was in the room. And next to a large amount of plugs which could be a fire hazard. The staff at this hostel were very kind and accommodating, they spoke both french and English which was helpful whilst trying to communicate. The breakfast was incredibly lovely, there was croissants, bread, fruit, ham and cheese, pastries, yogurt, coffee and tea, juice, and water. The communal eating areas were well kept apart from the occasional stain. There was a vending machine with food and drinks ranging from 2€ - 5€. I would say this hostel is good for trips when you are going to be out all day and just want a place to sleep and eat breakfast.

A Warm, Safe, and Clean Stay in the Heart of Nice 🏡🌞 I had a truly wonderful experience staying at **Hostel Les Camélias** in Nice! The **cleanliness** is absolutely top-notch—every area, from the rooms to the common spaces, is cleaned thoroughly **every single day**. It really gave a fresh and comfortable feeling throughout the whole stay. The **safety standards** are also excellent, with **clear rules** that are well respected by everyone, which I truly appreciated. I felt completely secure the entire time. One of the best parts is the **location**—right in the **city center**, just a short walk to the **beach 🏖️**, which made it super convenient to explore and enjoy Nice. But what really made my stay memorable was the **incredible staff**. Always smiling, making jokes, offering help, and creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. 💛 There are a few things to consider: – There’s **no air conditioning**, and in the summer it can get **very hot** 🥵. – There are **mosquitoes**—a bit annoying, so I’d recommend bringing or buying a repellent cream 🦟. – The **breakfast is basic**, and if you're lactose intolerant, note that there aren’t lactose-free options available 🥐☕. Still, despite this I **loved and really enjoyed** my stay. The positives far outweigh the rest, and I’d **highly recommend Hostel Les Camélias** to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Nice! 🇫🇷

In the room was very hot even though there was a fan cooling down, but still not enough there is no AC. Also the phone charger was USB type C, for people who has type C cable chargers is not possible to charge. However the hostel staff loaned me cable to charge my devices. I find it very uncomfortable but so far I managed to sort it out. Also the shower wasn’t clean enough. However I would say that the staff was very helpful with what I needed or needed to be fix. The breakfast was very poor, would be very good to have more options that what was offered.

I stayed at this hostel and really appreciated the great location—everything is within walking distance, including major tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. The room was clean and comfortable. However, I wish the shower area had been better maintained. Breakfast was okay but lacked variety—adding more options would improve the experience. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I recommend this hostel for travelers looking for a central location and welcoming staff. Thanks ❤️

The accommodation was nice, most of the staff were also warm and accommodating. The bed space set-up was completely fine but maybe they can re orient the placing of the trash bin inside toilets since it is quite unsanitary that used tissues are close (skin touching proximity) to people using the toilet. Also breakfast lacks variety but is certainly generous in terms of amount of food serving. Nonetheless, the place is still good for my first time in Nice. Merci beaucoup 🙏🏽

This hostel was extremely cramped; I couldn't even open my suitcase up properly in between the two bunk beds it and the room where a bit unhygienic. It was also very hot as there was no air conditioning and all we had was a fan that we had to pay for. The nights were very hot and the shower was not easily temperature adjustable. There was no toilet in the room so we had to use the public ones during the middle of the night which distrusted others staying at the hostel. In my opinion I don't recommend coming in the summer months.|One of the only good things about it was the breakfast as they had an alright choice. Overall for the price it is alright, but if you are looking for more of a beach holiday as I don't recommend due to heat,if your staying here only use it for sleeping not hanging around during the day. The staff were off and on some of them were nice but other were a bit disrespectful. The location was great though as it was in the centre of the town which was lovely to get in and out.

I have only good things to say about this hostel! The staff are extremely nice and caring. Everything felt clean and safe, even the bathroom had an air-refresher scent! I enjoyed the garden where you can have breakfast, chat to family back home or just have a glass of wine. This hostel felt like home surprisingly quickly-thank you to all the staff:)

Location is very good. It is in center. It is close to tram station but also close to city sightseeing objects. Breakfast were very good. I enjoyed those. Staff was helpfull. I asked to print my bus ticket, and they printed it. Kitchen is nice, but a bit small. If there are few other people using it, that it is not that comfortable. I liked outside area. In warm weather it was cool to sit there. Beds are with nice rigid frame. I was on upper floor and it was comfortable to climb down and up. It was strange bathroom setup. The toilets were without sink. You had to use the liquid and then go back in room to wash the hands. Sinks were quite noisy. Water in showers were a bit too cool. It was barely warm. A bit colder and shower would not be plesent to use. Maybe I just like hot showers. The net for stuff by the bed is with a bit too big holes. My staff just fell out of it. The lockers were a bit too small for my luggage(standart hand baggage). I had L type locker, so only horizontal surface was on floor level. There was lack of horizontal surfaces to put my stuff, for example my toothbrush.
