The house is located in a very multicultural district of Paris. The rooms are pleasant and all equipped with a shower. Some rooms also have a toilet, while others share toilets on the floor. Depending on the room’s orientation (towards the railway tracks), it can be very quiet—only the music from the bar on the ground floor is clearly audible. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was simple, but all 46 participants enjoyed it. The variety was somewhat limited, although there was a choice between several dishes each evening. For Paris and for a group, it’s an ideal accommodation!

Definitely worth the stay with just a few minor irritants. It makes staying in Paris affordable. Very nice open welcoming space with affordable wine in the evening and fantastic morning breakfast. Location may see out of the way but there are metro stations a 5 & 10 minutes away and you can walk to the Seine in about 45 minutes or so. People may say the neighborhood is sketchy but that's only if you are hung up on colour...lots of families around and people just living their lives. Our private room had a sink & shower but no toilet, they were across the hall. And they stunk. Don't know what the smell was but it was breathgrabbing. I had to search around for alternatives as it never improved. Two areas in need of improvement: communal kitchen is very poorly stocked; there was only one small knife for cutting food. And their accommodation of smokers far outweighs their consideration for non-smokers. There is no outdoor space for non-smokers. The patio off the bar stinks of cigarette smoke. They have a great ground floor patio but it is off limits during the day, only open during breakfast. The patio off the kitchen also allows smoking. OPEN THE RESTAURANT PATIO FOR NON SMOKERS!!!

The rooms were filthy , stains all over walls and the curtains, no toilets in room and showers are extremely dirty. I came as a group and everyone i came with experienced this and none of us are happy. The food, is absolutely disgraceful never decide to come here if you expect a good meal because they only served us chicken and pork and fish of which were disgusting: stiff and full of fat which is very off putting. Do not book this if you want a good night sleep. Location is in a nice place of Paris which is only good thing about the hotel.

Hello I’m very disappointed in this place I have just came here with my family thinking that this was going to be a good place for a holiday but it was not. The room smells of cigarettes there is NO BATHROOM and the beds are so uncomfortable. The neighbourhood is a very unsafe felling. If anyone is thinking of coming to this place for a nice Paris holiday DO NOT. It is not worth 459 pound for just 2 bunk bed that are uncomfortable and no private toilet even when we booked for one. And the worst part is that there is no WiFi and they said there was strong free WiFi on top of that if you want to cancel it there is no refund. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

a really small bathroom, the cabinet were broken, we need to put 3 handbags inside a cabinet, but the rest of the room were ok. the employees were really nice, but few people could communicate in english. the neighborhood at night can be dangerous, i recommend avoiding night walks alone cause you don’t know what can happen

was really good room, just wish the bathrooms didn’t have to be shared especially for private rooms! room was really clean and simple, all appliances working with no issue shower was a bit annoying as u had to keep pressing it every 5 secs but i understand as the hostel takes pride in being eco friendly and not wasting any water! breakfast was really yummy, good bread and pastries, perfect amount of food for breakfast staff were really polite and friendly in the evening the area surrounding the hostel was busy and full of locals and children playing , do be careful though as many are on bikes so be careful not to get run over! overall really really nice stay, very good value for money would come back again 😊

Safe but Poorly Managed During Chaotic Moments The hotel felt generally safe and okay at first. But when things got a bit chaotic, the management system clearly fell apart. I was staying in the women’s dorm, so I was really shocked when a group of boys came shouting outside my room and even kicked the door, trying to get in. That was not okay. Thankfully, one of the female receptionists acted but not so fast. she ran up, told them off, and made sure I was alright. I really appreciated her kindness and quick response. French people can be so lovely! Still, the incident made me feel pretty uncomfortable. I honestly expected better control over who could access certain areas. Hope they improve that in the future.

This is a beautiful and modern hostel. The rooms are well equipped with solid beds and soft white bedlinnen. I stayed here for four nights in a four bed female dorm. I was well satisfied with the tables and chairs that allowed me to work on my 💻 laptop. Most of the receptionists were very friendly. The breakfast is NOT all you can eat and I think that is a plus. You get assigned two delicious French breads, fruits, yoghurt, juice, milk and a warm drink.

Yelp
Area isn't the absolute most convenient but there are some bars and restaurants. Seems to be in an African neighborhood with a lot of locals at the bar. Breakfast is the best I've ever had at a hostel. Workers and staff were great. Clean accommodations.

Yelp
Inconveniently located. 15 minutes from 2 metro stations. STAFF/LOBBY: Friendly but most staff are unprofessional and like to take smoke breaks and drink while on duty. Some are so lazy that they dont like assisting guests. Lots of seating areas but a lack of charging stations. Brochures and magazines also a library with everything you need to know about Paris, France and visitor stuff. The electronic Welcome and tourist machine was broken. The lobby is broken down into several areas: library area, table top game area, couch area, bar area, visitor area with magazines and toiletry vending machine (toothbrushes, locks for lockers, etc.). Next to the game area there is the storage area which was DISGUSTING!!!! Old bags, dirty dried rags littered the floor, broken wood which used to shelving bases are broken and littered the area. Bags which appeared to have bern left behind were stored there. Oversized luggage was placed everywhere. There are oversized coin lockers and oversized lockers for storing luggage (so you who purchased your own locker can use). ANNOUNCEMENT BOARD: At the desk on the wall is a list of group activities. You can purchase River Seine and other tours for as low as 5.50€. I did and it was fun! I also noticed the FREE WALKING TOURs brochure (the pink vest folks). BAR/PATIO DECK: they have a full service bar. There is an outdoor patio deck. It was full of folks during happy hour and filthy with cigarette butts in everything except the butt container! The patio furniture is badly worn. RESTAURANT/BREAKFAST: Once gone..its gone folks. cafeteria style dining where you can purchase meals. Complimentary Breakfast is also done here. **I got stuck (locked) in a restroom and barely missed the food. (the desk attendant had to break the lock to get me out)!!! Anyway, what I saw of what was left for breakfast. Soft Croissants, butter, preserves, milk, water and carafes of OJ. KITCHEN: DISGUSTING! PIG STYE! Guests have to take care of this area because NO STAFF CLEANS this area!!!! So, there were crumbs, overflowing small trash cans. Dirty dishes. Food particles on tables, counter topes, on and in the microwave. The sinks were full. There are 2 European refrigerators and one was fully broken with packed to the brim rottening food and liquids pouring out of it. The other was working and also packed to capacity. There is no labeling system. This had a small freezer (i believe) but it was also jammed packed. ACCOMMODATIONS: When you go into the room...to turn on the lights...SLIDE your room key into the pocket on the wall and the lights and electricity will work. This includes the lights and electricity outlets at ALL the beds and the shower area. The showers are older and stay on for 5 seconds intervals once you push it. To conserve water! The A/C barely worked. The windows are sealed shut. The room was clean. TOURS/PASSES: Are sold at the desk!! This building has conference rooms and they were in use when I arrived. There are 2 vending machines in the basement area hallway. In the hallway is a model of the building and a high table top with chairs for relaxing. Looks like you canngo outside to the garden area from here but I dared not to so I wouldnt get locked out and have to find my way back up to the main entrance. There is a grocery store across the street which is were I purchased my meals and my European Flat Iron (for my hair). The staff was very friendly and the men flirtatious yet funny. ATTACHED RETAIL: Directly attached to the building is a 1. "home goods" type store with trinkets for home and office. 2. Next to that a hip/bar restaurant with musicians, 3. Next to that is a cafe which is also like a 7-11 to pickup snacks and beverages, 4. Next to that is another restaurant more upscale and 5. The next place was for rent. All of the food establishments have cute outdoor seating areas and at night it was bustling. The hip area...some skateboarders were outside..nanny's were pushing strollers during work hours. STREET: ***One way street which my Uber/Lyft drivers kept getting messed up on trying to find a way to get me to the building!!!*** NEIGHBORHOOD: I presume this to be a working class shabby chic area. But it was more like regentrification is trying to happen in this area. Old mixed with the new. ____________________________________________ (Copied from website) Yves Robert hostel will give you a taste of how accommodation can be green and sustainable. the Youth Hostel is located in the heart of a new eco-friendly district, a model in sustainable development! Located in an old warehouse of a French railway company, refurbished and transformed into a solar power station (photovoltaic panels on the roof provide the energy needed), the wood-fronted hostel opens onto a unique green area; mixing a covered garden, trees and ponds with aquatic plants. The hostel hosts a theatre, a bar area, a restaurant - overlooking the garden.

Yelp
Stayed here last week and it was horrible, the toilets were extremely unclean, staff were very rude, breakfast is limited and you're only allowed a singular pastry. Fails to mention that you have to share a toilet with other rooms who left it in a horrible state, no soap, no towels. In addition the area is extremely unsafe, large population of homeless and i was followed and pick pocketed whilst there. Don't reccomend.

Yelp
One of the worst hostel experiences I've had. The bathrooms are disgusting and smell like a dirty boys bathroom. So many things are broken. The beds are horribly uncomfortable. The bathrooms are not IN the rooms, so at night, you have to leave the room the use the bathrooms in the hallway and there's pee all over the floor and toilet seats. The neighborhood is so-so but also quite a distance from the main area of Paris. The staff is very very nice and wonderful but that doesn't really make up for all the other lameness. The breakfast is better than I was expecting - there's actually yogurt and not just bread and sugar. But that still doesn't make up for the other crap here. Many travelers but not good common areas for socializing and meeting. The building is cold. The kitchen is very small for hostel size and you have to get a special key to use it. Dumb. The burners weren't working and I asked the staff to help. They didn't know how to make them work either. Weird. So I spent all this money buying food that became very difficult to cook, I had to cook my meat in the toaster oven and of course that didn't come out well for us. The beds are uncomfortable and after several days here, I'm very very sore. I almost never have back and neck pain, but boy do I now. The beds are very loud as well, so when your room mates toss or turn during the night, the beds make all kinds of noises and it wakes you up. We had to switch rooms after the first night because our first room had no ventilation and was SO hot and stale. After taking a shower, the humidity was unbearable. The second room was much much better. Anyway, I would NOT stay here again or recommend this place whatsoever.
