HI Hostel Zagreb

The WORST HOSTEL ever. NEVER STAY THERE! Everything was terrible. I went there with a group of students. The rooms are extremely small. There were SAFETY PROMLEMS, such as broken parts in bunk beds. There is only ONE common shower on each floor, which is obviously not enough. Everything is run-down. Not very clean in general. The elevator was not working most of the time. The hostel was also very noisy. The breakfast was awful. They serve it in a nearby bakery (which they called a "restaurant" in our email correspondence). There was not enough food for our group. They didn't even have black tee. The staff was rude. They found excuses rather than solutions to the problems we had there. Don't ever go there.

I went there with a group of students as a part of field trip. We were 33 people, and the experience was terrible for all of us. The hostel is very run-down, very noisy, and not clean in general. They arranged breakfast for us in a nearby bakery. The food was not enough. They did not even serve us enough tee. The staff was very rude and unhelpful. They found excuses rather than solutions to the problems we had there. DON'T EVER STAY THERE.

Total dump, arrived on the first night and left within 15 minutes, rooms are unbelievably hot. One key is shared between a whole room. One toilet and shower per floor for each gender. Floors were covered in dirt. DON’T STAY HERE.

check in was smooth.. but I found BED BUGS under my bed and my other friends beds..NEVER STAY HERE!!! When I came home I immediately went to take a shower. Please remember this when u are gonna check in this hotel,not a good experience!! Choose a different hotel.

It's nice that there's a sink in the private room. The best location. 4 minutes walk from the station. The vending machine is cheap.

Room was small. I got a private room for myself and could barely use the toilet because how small the bathroom was and the staff weren't nice.

Decent place to crash in when you're not outside , the staff is great and helpful and they speak english very well , location wise it's close to everything. With that said, dont expect anything extraordinary,but it just gets the job done, would've been great if they offered more amenities like a common kitchen with a kettel and microwave and a fridge.

A friend and I were passing through Zagreb and needed some basic accommodations to stay one night. We figured this hostel might be fine, with a private two bed room being a fairly affordable option. The staff was extremely friendly, and the amenities were good for what one would expect for a hostel. Only issue was that we could barely sleep due to the room being directly on a busy street, we couldn't close the windows due to the extreme heat and their was no AC provided in the room, only a tiny fan. Would recommend this place in a pinch, but if you have the budget definitely better to stay elsewhere.
