Wonderful place with nice and helpful staff! If I go somewhere and I see HI hostels in the USA I trust it is the best hostel in the area and it has always been true! This place is very clean, homie, cozy, well located and nice in all way you would need there! 3 story house with reception, lobby, kitchen and restrooms on the first floor and beds on the second. Everything nice and organized. Highly recommend! Had a great time and meet nice people. Will return if I happen to be in Hyaenas again. One thing I would add is more space for personal items.

I stayed here with three family members in June 2024 (June 27 to 30). It was an absolute pleasure. There were three different staff members who were on duty at this time, and each one of them was so incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They all did everything to make our stay pleasant and make sure we had everything we needed, answering all our questions. The whole place is so well run, clean, and comfortable. It is so nicely furnished, with comfortable areas for sitting, eating, conversing (while seeing amazing harbor views from the main living room and from the enclosed front porch). There are also various nooks where you can sit alone with a laptop, have a quiet conversation for 2 or 3, etc. The kitchen is well outfitted with whatever you need to cook or prepare your meals. People bring and label their own food, keeping it on shelves and the refrigerator. The whole system worked so well, how the guests shared the space. The hostel is walking distance to the Hyannis Transportation Center, which is another plus. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay a very special family memory.

The location is nice and close to everything. However, rooms do not have AC, just fans. Overall good place for price vs quality!

Great value for a hostel, in a convenient part of Cape Cod for catching ferries. Immaculately clean with numerous large private washrooms. Comfortable dorms, with free towels and nice sheets. Free wifi, nice lounging area, communal kitchen with plenty of cooking area and food storage. They also provide a nice light breakfast (belvitas and coffee). The only drawback is that Hyannis itself is a pretty middling overpriced town.

I booked a single room and when I arrived, I noticed an overwhelming stench of body odor. The receptionist said that the room just needed airing out. In fact no, it was that one or more previous guests had slept on and sweated all over the blue and white quilt that looks so cute in the photo. The quilt and the pillow stank. All of the doors are on automatic door closers which may be a fire code requirement but they were set to "slam" closing mode. So as people came in to the room with multiple bunks next to my room late at night, one at a time, the door slammed after them, again when they went out to the bathroom (door slam) and came back from the bathroom (door slam). This went on from midnight to 3:00 am and then the doors started slamming from 6:00 am onward as people got up to catch early ferries. I complained at the front desk and they shrugged. I toughed it out for three nights and then checked out early and went elsewhere. As they had demanded full payment in advance, they refused to refund the balance of the week. I left anyway and they ultimately agreed the noise was unacceptable and refunded the four remaining nights. The kitchen is fine. The bathroom is adequate. The location is excellent. I do not recommend this hostel. Would not stay there again.

Staff are awesome and give good recommendations. The whole place is quite clean and the common area and kitchen are great. The immediate surroundings are kind of over-touristy but it is walking distance to nice beaches and restaurants. The onsite free parking is convenient. Will visit again.

Google
Rude rude rude front desk staff. So rude that after staying here a half dozen times in the last 15 years or so, I wouldn’t stay here again. Rooms mediocre.

I have stayed here every month they’re open for the last 2 years now and I can only give raving reviews about this place. Every time I’ve been here, the staff have been friendly, courteous and knowledgeable of questions I had and always helped me when needed. Don’t even get me started on location. When most people think hostels, they think inner city and sketchy. Not this one. You’re right next to some of the nicest bars (that also stay open the latest) and it’s right next to the water. I’ve never felt safer at a hostel in my life. The building is large, clean and has everything you need for a fun hostel stay. It’s incredibly affordable too so there aren’t any issues that are even remotely an issue for such a great deal. The only issue which sometimes occurs is the rooms don’t have AC, which can be tricky to sleep in during hot nights. Most nights on the Cape are comfy however, so this isn’t a dealbreaker by any means. I love this hostel, I love the cape and whether you’re on a budget or just backpacking, this is the definitive place to stay.

Yelp
Great place, with central location for exploring the Cape! Easy access to the beach, shops, and transportation (6 minute walk from the Hyannis Transportation Center). A very communal and welcoming place, with wonderful staff made us feel right at home.

Yelp
This was possibly the cleanest most organized hostel I have ever stayed at, which is especially impressive to me considering they seemed to be entirely booked the night we were there. The kitchen, bathrooms and other common spaces were impeccably clean! The three ladies who helped us check in/out, and were cleaning the hostel were also very kind and extremely helpful when suggesting places to go and what to do in the area. My fiance and I shared a private room, so I can't speak for the dorms, but it was spacious with two twin beds, a window overooking the harbor and a busy street which was perfect for people watching, and also had an oscillating fan. The location was absolutely perfect, sitting in between Main St and the beaches. A free trolley also runs on that street which was very convenient. The breakfast in the morning was generous and impressive. Delicious blueberry pancakes and an assortmant of continental goodies! The only reason this hostel gets a 4 instead of a 5 is because of two minor things: 1. There is a strict no alcohol policy. I can certainly understand why this policy is in place, but for two travelers who brought their own food to cook and enjoy having a drink with dinner on a Saturday night this was a bit of a disappointment. 2. There were two mini doors in our 3rd floor private room that opened up directly into the creepy attic of the hostel. This creeped me out, and think it would be pretty easy to have them locked up to prevent curious travelers from looking around their room in places where they shouldn't. Maybe this wouldn't creep out the average person, but either way I thought it was weird... Other than those two very minor things, this hostel was perfect. I'd absolutely stay here again or recommend it to anyone traveling to Hyannis from near or far. And for those from Boston or anywhere else where parking is almost always an issue, this place has free parking for guests!!

Yelp
Welcoming staff, convenient location and well-maintained and clean facilities. Spacious common areas and outdoor spaces. Plus, complimentary homemade granola and coffee in the mornings is a fantastic way to start your day.

Yelp
New buildings, great location, has parking. Can ride your bike to the beach, close to the main street where all the shops and rests. are. Good vibe, would recommend. Be aware tho that there is no A/C, so just know that if you book a top floor room. Its worth it tho, price is good for the Cape.

Yelp
Horrible unless you don't care about sleep! Stayed in room one first floor-not given a choice. People were showering in the bathroom next door all night. At 130am two girls talking loudly while on computer that sits right outside room one. 330am four guys in the kitchen cooking and talking loudly. Guys hanging out at this hour in parking lot talking loudly. 4am people return noisily and enter room above and continue making noise talking loudly. I got less than 2 hours sleep...worst hostel experience in my life and I have stayed in many. No staff around to complain to...only one staff member working when I checked in. Badly managed! Even though I had already paid for the next night I left and paid for a hotel. I couldn't take another sleepless night at this badly staffed hostel. Stay away unless you like to socialize all night. Never been to a hostel were you are told Whig bunk to take either. Horrible, horrible!

Yelp
There is nothing better than a new and clean hostel. And since everything was newly de-virginized, it will be hard to see it's eventual decline. Hope they take care of this location (unlike Boston), and can't wait to come again next season. Some of the staff could've used an attitude adjustment, but all in all it couldn't ruin a prefect stay. Free internet (no wifi) and they make amazing pancakes!!! Highly recommended.

Yelp
We had a group of more than 30 stay at the hostel and it was the perfect space. The hosts were so accommodating and welcoming. The hostel was located very conveniently with only a short walk to shops on Main St in one direction and a sandy beach in the other.

Yelp
I wouldn't hesitate to return. The location was great, the accommodations were well kept and the staff was extremely kind.

Yelp
Great hostel friendly staff and the other guests were great. The place was clean, but a bit spartan. Continetal breakfast consisted of tea, coffee, toast, yogurt and oatmeal. Good location in Hyannis, right next to harbor, not far from the shops and Kalmus beach I will be returning to this place in the future
