HI Parque das Nações - Pousada de Juventude

I think this has to be one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The nail in the coffin was the Wi-Fi, or lack thereof. Even in the common room, I got zero internet connectivity on my laptop. The whole experience, starting from when I entered the building, just felt like I was staying in some sort of prison. I know there is a cleaner; I saw her working in the morning. But the bathroom and my room have a strange odor. Very unpleasant. I ended up only staying one night cause it was too late to go anywhere else, and I was extremely tired, but I ended up eating the cost of this place to stay somewhere better (that actually has Wi-Fi). Plus, it's an open network. Can you say sketch? It's hard enough traveling and connecting to strange Wi-Fi networks, but to have an open network to make me even more vulnerable? I have never seen an accomodation make such a decision before. The entire experience, from start to finish, was extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. This is the last time I try a place with less than 8 on Booking and 4 on Google. Please read the rest of the reviews for this place; their review rating on Booking is way too high for my experience of this place.

Spent two nights here. We arrived late and were met at the front desk with no issues. The room had three beds with the two on the bottom able to be pushed together or be separate. There was also a light, plug, and USB/USB-C port for each bed, which made charging phones easy. Breakfast was basic, but that is fine. You are able to eat indoors or outdoors. They were also able to get a packed breakfast for us when we left at 5am to catch our flight, which we appreciated.

The hostel is located in a youth centre. When I stayed, the restaurant was closed but there were all sorts of activities going on in the house. There is no security checking who enters the hostel.|The breakfast was the same as all other HI-pousadas I stayed in in Portugal. Nothing fancy but ok for the price.|Unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. There was no mattress topper or extra padding, just a basic box spring or metal spring mattress that offered no support or softness. I woke up every morning with back pain and did not sleep well during my stay. I really hope they consider upgrading their beds in the future!|There are shops in the area, a commuter train station, a bus stop a few blocks away to go to/from airport or downtown. The train station is not close, and the pavements are all cobblestone...|OK for a night, but only since I had stayed downtown Lisboa already three nights.

Amazing hostel! Front desk is super friendly and helpful. They offer free breakfast and if you will be leaving before they put it in a bag for you to go!

Here is the pro's and con's from our experience: PROS: ✅Clean bed ✅You can open the window CONS: ❌Shower only has one little hook. it doesnt have a little shelf to put your soap or glasses.... that always pisses me off. ❌Very poor security!!! The lockers in the hostel dont work whatsoever, no way to keep your stuff safe so you just gotta hope you have trustworthy roommates. ❌Bed only has usb charging port, no regular outlet (just 1 per room) ❌Breakfast is quite plain. Could be nice to have some eggs or tomato slices. Second day we just brought some upgrades of our own to make the breakfast more enjoyable.

Unhelpful and unfriendly staff |Everything from the waiting room to the breakfast room to the actual rooms was tired and not cleaned properly||Breakfast is awful with the bare minimum offered : not hot food at all, a few cereals and bread, limited ham and cheese. Coffee machines were broken. ||The room looked like a prison or something from a communist block. ||I got this as part of a package with love holidays and am bitterly disappointed.

Great place to stay for a couple nights. They are SUPER nice. Of course you are gonna meet up there with people with no education ay all (guests) but the people working there are FANTASTIC. The bathroom are good, the breakfast awesome (not much variety on it but good). I will stay here next time I’m not into the UEFA’s Women’s championship and i want to explore Lisbon.

It is close to the airport. The place is basic, no light at the bed, no power plugs close to the bed, no lockers where your bag fits... bathroom is basic and not the cleanest. Service was kind and helpful. For the price, I would rather get a nice hostel in the center.
