The hostel is located near the cliff in Ramon Crater. Parking is free. A fast food shopping center and ice cream parlor are a short walk away. Within driving distance there are 3 gas stations some with convenience stores. There are several wings, the most beautiful being the wing overlooking the crater. There is wheelchair access. Our family room had 7 beds. The quality of sleep is not bad at all. The room has a shower and toilet and a coffee corner. There is also a very small refrigerator. Breakfast is varied with vegetables, cheeses, eggs and more. Overall, this is a great solution for reasonably priced hosting.

Great location, overlooking Ramon Crater. Waking up and watching the sun rise with that scenery is breathtaking. The hostel itself is mediocar minus so don't expect something fancy. Another attraction is the wildlife, especially the ibex wandering around even inside the hostel area without fearing humans, in the close surrounding.

Pros: Excellent view from the room's balcony. The room was clean, well maintained, and overall was very comfortable to stay in. Cons: Highly overpriced. Poor breakfast and no vegan options at all. Some of the dishes are disposals, which is disappointing in a place that promotes nature. We ordered two adjacent rooms but we were disappointed to receive rooms on different floors. As Seinfeld once said: “See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don’t know how to hold the reservation and that’s really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them.”

Great location. Good value. Breakfast so so. |The town is a must see destination in the Negev. |See views of crater from visitor center at sunset. Magnificent.|Hostel is steps away. |Although everything was fine, we noted that the breakfast was the worst of all hotel/hostel breakfasts that we had during our visit Israel… A very high standard.

It is very basic. If you are looking for a warm shower and clean bed after a day in the desert, this is it. No more. As choice of restaurants in the area on Friday evenings is very limited, we decided to try their dinner. It was a terrible decision. Food was greasy, some dishes were cold as they were left outside for hours. Never again. Price is outrageous, as all accommodation in Israel

Highly recommend recently renovated youth hostel in the best location in town, right at the edge of the crater. Caters mainly to families with young children. Good plentiful food and there is also a synagogue on site with a Sefer Torah. Reasonable prices, but all this goodness means potential customers need to book far in an advance to reserve a room.

This hostel is part of the Israel Youth Hostels association. It has family rooms as well as rooms for couples, each with a private bathroom, a tiny refrigerator and a coffee kettle. They serve breakfast and dinner, both very basic but OK. The place is kept clean. We visited during the holiday, a time o high demand, so I was surprised to find that the reception desk is left with no one in quite often, only two workers were present during breakfast and dinner, so service is limited. The location is great: few steps from the edge of the crater and the visitor center with marvelous view points to watch sunrise and sunset. You also get to enjoy early morning visits of the ibex herds that come in for fresh grass. They don't seem to mind people watching them from a very close distance and pose for really nice pictures. ||The road to the crater is right around the corner.

Good location, joint family room was newly renovated and clean. Booked almost 6 months in advance. Pretty expensive (norm for Israel) for what you get. Breakfast is fairly basic. Nonetheless, a place to stay when visiting Mitzpe Ramon.
