Hi Suites

Lovely accommodation in the centre of Santa Cruz. The room is more like a little duplex apartment, very clean and quiet, a perfect location for exploring Santa Cruz, a city worth visiting. Lots of cafes, bars, supermarket etc nearby. As it’s more like a self catering apartment there are not really any hotel amenities, no communal space, no outdoor area and staff are only at reception very randomly. A nice place to stay, though 😀

Spacious, clean suites in a great location. Reception staff are friendly and smiley. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Photos are true to how the rooms are. The beds are very firm. Lots of restaurants nearby. Definitely would recommend the Hi Suites. (Be aware, this is the Emblematico Hi Suites - and different from the nearby Emblematico hotel).

Very calm and relaxing space throughout the hotel, with a living space and a separate room with all the amenities needed. Tamara @ the front desk is friendly,.welcoming, polite and helpful in every aspect. Highly recommended for staying in Santa Cruz.

The room was spacious and spotless clean😍 The cleaning service and reception staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, conveniently close to local restaurants and shops☀️ Excellent value for the price❤️

Almost perfect but just a couple of niggles. Firstly we really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and I really wanted to give 5 stars but it was just not quite there. The location is spot on and there are 2 paid parking spaces which were a great benefit as it is right in the city centre. The staff were always friendly and polite. The rooms were bright and light as well as clean and we were happy that our expectations were met. The niggles were as follows: 1. Upon checking in we were warned not to pull the curtains closed with too much force as they will come off the rails...... these are big curtains and we were not able to fully close them. 2. Upon checking in were were warned that if we boiled the kettle it could set off the fire alarm !!!! 3. We left some tea bags (PG Tips) in a box next to the kettle and when we returned the cleaners had thrown them away. This is not correct..... this box could have also contained medication etc. and room cleaners should never throw away guests items. 4. There is a coffee machine in the room. There were just 2 coffee pods upon arrival. After the room had been cleaned they were not replaced. When we asked at reception we were told these were a "welcome" gift and not replaced daily. I am sorry but I am paying a good price for this hotel and this is really petty. Why provide a machine if there are only 2 pods for a 3 night stay. 5. The final point is that it was carnival whilst we were there. It was very noisy from 8pm-3am each night. We travel with ear plugs so were Ok but it would have been nice if the hotel had warned of this in advance. As mentioned these are all small niggles and should not put you off staying and I hope the management decide to act accordingly .

Nice hotel with large, clean well furnished rooms. We enjoyed our stay here and the location is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. Can’t understand why the “welcome gift” of coffee pods aren’t replenished daily. This is such a simple thing yet leaves a bad taste at the price point of this hotel when basic provisions aren’t provided every day. No excise really. The bathroom could do with better ventilation.

We had the “classic/basic” room and it was great - large, airy, beautiful, and very clean. The service was wonderful, very friendly, sweet and accommodating. The location is central to the city and perfect for jumping off to visit other sites. Be aware that pulling up with a car to drop off your stuff is very challenging. But they do have discounted parking at the garage that’s very close by, so once you get set up with that then it’s super easy.

We stayed here 3 nights. Clean, modern hotel. The room was fantastic, we got one of the 2 story rooms with the sofa bed downstairs for our 6 yo daughter. They already had the bed made up for her. Staff was very friendly. Parking was pricey but was directly out front, and parking in this area is terrible otherwise, so it was worth it! Easy to walk to parks, shops, restaurants, etc. Fruit shop next door was great. They don't have a restaurant on site, but work with a very nearby restaurant for room service. The included breakfast needed to be pre-ordered the day prior (from a local coffee shop) and they had multiple options, mostly baguette sandwiches (typical breakfast there).
