Such an amazing location and exactly what we needed for our girls trip. So close to the town and delicious cafes/restaurants like The Loft, Miss Margarita and The Hum. We had the best time walking along the beach and singing at the Piano Bar! The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Perfect choice for a trip to Byron Bay.

I stayed here for 3 nights with a couple of friends and it was perfect for what we needed, it was very clean and close to the main beach and lots of cute shops/restaurants. You can get boogie boards and beach chairs for free at reception to use at the beach which is so nice! Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring Byron bay!

Stayed here for a night whilst passing through with adult son. What a great room in a great location. Just one block back from the beach with free parking right outside. |We were early but able to check in.|Large spacious for 3 adults, fridge, tea and coffee, etc. Iron, ironing board, tv, and shower amenities.|It is a great find, spotlessly clean, quiet despite being central to everything |

Our stay was fine; really it was fine. Picture a classic roadside motel—ten rooms, each with its own parking space at your door steps, like mini motor palaces. The place was clean, roomy, and just steps away from both sand and snacks. Beach on one side, main drag on the other. Honestly, unless it came with a pet kangaroo and a free massage, I’m not sure what more you’d want. Sure, places like this went for $75 a night back in the day like year 2005-2009, but that was two Britney Spears albums and a global financial crisis ago. These days, in the land of Byron Bay lattes and surfboard soul-searching, anything under $180 in a non-holiday peak (2nd week of the Jul school holiday) feels like spotting a unicorn in board shorts. Reasonable? Absolutely. I stayed here in 2013, returned 2025.

As soon as I entered, felt clinical and super depressing. Didn't have much of anything but I was just here to sleep. Happy that they had decent TV.|The walls were so thin I actually heard snoring from next door. And then someone using the bathroom. Luckily, I had earplugs else I wouldn't have slept a wink. I also had to wake when they did as they were quite noisy in their preparation to leave in the morning.|Unfortunately, things got worse for me when I checked out at Waves. All they did was ask me to put my keys in a bowl, which they acknowledged I did, only for me to get a nasty surprise when 6 hours later, they charged my credit card for "missing keys".|After disputing with management, I got my money back.|15+ years of travel and I never had so much drama for an overnight stay. Definitely a no-return for me.

Overpriced motel in Byron Bay. Bathroom was in very bad shape and there were lot of ants and they did not even bother to apply some insect spray. When I complained to reception , responded saying it’s because of wet weather. Pathetic experience after paying premium money for stay. Worst part is nobody available after 7 pm to address this kind of issue so incase of emergency you rely on so called security service which is chargeable service as on call. Do not waste your money, go find better place to stay.

Nice and cozy little motel with available parking on site. It’s a bit dated but clean and tidy. The downsides, the bed did not have a comfortable mattress and pillows. The doors and windows are incredibly thin, offering little soundproofing. Early in the morning, the neighbors moving out parked their car just 25cm from the door, making it impossible not to hear every conversation and the noise of them loading their belongings.
