Our stay was fine; really it was fine. Picture a classic roadside motel—ten rooms, each with its own parking space at your door steps, like mini motor palaces. The place was clean, roomy, and just steps away from both sand and snacks. Beach on one side, main drag on the other. Honestly, unless it came with a pet kangaroo and a free massage, I’m not sure what more you’d want.
Sure, places like this went for $75 a night back in the day like year 2005-2009, but that was two Britney Spears albums and a global financial crisis ago. These days, in the land of Byron Bay lattes and surfboard soul-searching, anything under $180 in a non-holiday peak (2nd week of the Jul school holiday) feels like spotting a unicorn in board shorts. Reasonable? Absolutely. I stayed here in 2013, returned 2025.
