We recently stayed in the Daintree Junior Suite and enjoyed our 5 night stay here. Information and support received in the lead up to our stay was great. |The suite was almost as shown on the website although there were a few minor details not up to the standard of the rest of the unit. The biggest issue for me was the state of the hairdryer which was sticky to the touch and not pleasant to use. This was mentioned to reception the morning after arrival with an indication that housekeeping would look at this however it was not replaced while we were there. The second key to the unit did not work when used and we almost got locked out outside of reception hours (luckily we checked unlocking before closing the door and switched keys). It appeared to be bent and was replaced for us with another key. A couple of decorative details did not appear to have been upgraded along with the rest of the unit (e.g. inside of the wardrobe and a broken bedroom shutter screen). For the price we paid I think these could easily be addressed and improve the overall impression.||Other than the minor niggles we were happy with our choice. We loved the view to the pool from our balcony with just enough privacy to enjoy sitting there. The pool was the perfect temperature for us, not too hot and not too cold. We did wonder why the spa pool wasn't warmer but that wasn't a big issue for us. We always managed to find a couple of loungers by the pool when we wanted them and liked that there was a variety of seating areas both in and out of the sun. ||The balinese feel of the resort and lush planting added to the experience. Really liked the location too, easy walking distance to the marina, restaurants and shops (including a Coles supermarket) in one direction and 4 mile beach in the other.||If the minor niggles were addressed this would be a 5 star review.

We had a lovely 11 night stay at Hibiscus Resort & Spa Port Douglas. Checking in process was easy as was out of office hours. We found all staff friendly & helpful. We had a ground level apartment room 6 which was good, had kitchenette which was handy when we didn’t feel like eating out. The resort is very convenient to walk to shops/beach & the mariner which we found a blessing. Do yourself a favour & also visit the Hibiscus Day Spa that is onsite. I had an amazing 60min relaxing massage as well as a 30 min Facial with Minaxie! Shear bliss thanks so much Minaxie your a legend!

Our second visit within 12 months (last here in December 2024). Both visits did not disappoint. The Balinese inspired property is so tranquil and make it feel like the true tropical destination it is. People even thought we were in Bali from our photos. Both visits we stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom dual key pool view apartment. This offered ample room to relax in our room along with kitchen amenities to prepare our own meals if we wanted to stay in. The option to use the outdoor BBQ facilities and outdoor dining area is great for a no fuss meal which we took advantage of. The resort location is another key benefit to this property. Walking distance to the Main Street for dining and shopping including a Coles supermarket but plenty of car spaces if you have a car. The resort also boasts 2 pools which provide the ultimate choice and meant neither were overcrowded. There is also ample space poolside to be able to relax before or after a swim. Communication from the team was also above expectations. Plenty of information shared both prior, during and after departure including additional information for our easy after hours check in and current roadworks that is affecting travel time to Port Douglas. Mitchell and the team made our stay so comfortable and effortless, even booking a sunset sail for us which was a highlight. We were also lucky to receive a $100 dining voucher for a local restaurant which we very much enjoyed and appreciated. Thank you, we’ll absolutely be returning next year. Lisa, Lachlan & Taylah

We spent 4 nights here, the location and staff were great. But our unit was very small, for 2 adults and 3 kids, Kitchen( if you could call it that) was very small, wire and lights exposed above bench, small bathroom with toilet, and shower over bath had terrible pressure, not suitable for family of 5. The whole unit needed to brought into this century, particularly for the price. Pools, bbq and all other service were great. And again staff were great to deal with. And the location makes it an easy walk to most things in Port Douglas.

As a returning guest to Hibiscus Resort, I am never disappointed! The resort is relaxing, peaceful and in the perfect location. We stayed in Unit 7 and were impressed by the cleanliness and the decor. The unit was spacious, and welcoming! The unit is surrounded by beautiful tropical plants that make you feel like you are in another world. The pools were close to the unit and were clean and inviting. Perfect location to walk to the beach, the shops and the marina. Management were always there to answer questions and give advice where to dine and ideas of things to do. Thank you so much for making our holiday relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Brilliant location, great staff and responsive service. Pools were great for kids and awesome to have 2 choices. Only issue was cleanliness - while the kitchen, living area, shower and toilet were clean, under our bed there was a thick layer of dust and old shoes. The cleaners need to clean better as we were sneezing and had red eyes for 3 nights. Once we discovered the issue, management quickly managed a thorough clean which was great. We later found our bathroom sink was blocked because cleaners hadn’t untwisted the sink to clean out the gunk build up - I did it and it was pretty gross. Overall a lovely place but cleaners need to not cut corners.

I stayed in apt 7. Ground floor, 1 bedroom. I asked for a ground floor apartment as I cannot walk up stairs. There was no natural light in this apartment. The only area with any natural light was the front terrace which was an outdoor sitting area. I needed to have lights on all the time in the rest of the apartment. My bedroom had slats which when opened gave a view of tanks, which were noisy as well. This was disappointing. However furniture etc was fine Bed was comfortable And the complex is very well located to Macrossan St. i felt the pool was not very clean, it was cloudy the whole time. I arrived after hours and did not realize at the time how gloomy it was I would stay here again but not in unit 7

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Hibiscus to celebrate our honeymoon! We were warmly welcomed by Mitchell who insightfully answered any questions we had and even gave us a few gifts for our honeymoon. Location was perfect (walking distance to everything) and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Will be recommending Hibisucs to anyone heading to Port Douglas!
