This place is paradise. Very secluded, lush nature surroundings. Our yurt was very comfortable, in a rustic simple way. Breakfast included was delicious and supper is available for additional price. It is also amazing. Super fresh and healthy and delicious. Their chef, Shine is incredibly skilled and so friendly. There are some dogs on the property who greet you too. This place isn't near any towns so you aren't able to easily access snacks (we brought teens so this was a thing) but honestly we would be back in an instant. So beautiful. A great place to unplug in nature.

I really tried to enjoy the river tubing adventure BUT there were several issues: * No lifesaver vest available for kids. How is that possible. Kids in our group were forced to wear a full size adult vest. Not good *The stench of the life vests provided was incredibly offensive. The smell was of humid clothes and was horrible.

If you’re looking for a place to treat yourself with peace and love, this is the place to be! You’ll have the best cook in the country to prepare delicious meals, chill at the bar or have a round of dominoes. I can only recommend it and would love to come back.

Hibiscus Valley Inn was a great place to stay and unwind. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the rooms were clean and tidy. It was outside of the busy cities, so it was very quiet and the grounds were very lush. I would absolutely stay there again!

A charming and rural guesthouse in the parish of St Andrew. The staff are great and made you feel most welcomed. The website stated snacks and lunch but nothing was available, which meant I had to walk 15-20 minutes to a local shop. My abiding memory was the attitude of the owner of the Hibiscus, Nora, who at know time attempted to engage me and my fellow guest in conversation during dinner, but appeared to talk with free will to other guest. My only conclusion is that NoraI has a problem with racial minorities. I am of Dominican descent and it saddened me that I was treated in this manner. I shall return again Dominica 🇩🇲!

I didn't stay at this Inn, but this was the starting point for white water rafting on the Pagua River. A great outdoor activity that is in no way strenuous. A lot of the route consists of a gentle flow where you can just cruise and enjoy the sights of the Dominican jungle. Other parts, you have to be on your guard for dodgy looking rocks or being sent the wrong way. A 2-3 hour excursion which ends with a glass of rum punch at a scenic looking cassava plantation near the mouth of the river. There was also indigenous singing and dancing for the guests. All in all a great trip

We didn't stay here but we did eat at the restaurant one evening - really delicious food! Shine, the chef, is a great cook and a lovely host.
