My wife and I booked this hotel for a weekend trip in Picardy, France. The hotel is located in the middle of the village, and close to the beach. The hotel is ran by a young couple who also has another place in town where tourists can stay. So there isn't always staff available in the building. There is no private parking but it is not that hard to find free parking in the streets nearby . Staff is very friendly and rooms are spacious and clean. There is an elevator in the building. Beds are comfortable and there is no noise from outside at night. Breakfast is good and tastful. Bikes are available and e-bikes can be rented.|This is a nice charming hotel with value-for-money, very suitable for short holidays

I searched and searched for the perfect hotel for one night, on paper it looked ideal. In reality it was even better than expected. All the girls who run the hotel, and they are all girls, could not have been more friendly and helpful, they felt like friends towards the end of our stay. The bedroom was awesome, the bed was possibly the most comfortable i have ever slept in, including my own. The cafe below the hotel was just like you imagine France to be. Delicious food, with a short menu, my idea of heaven. An excellent wine list and lovely ambience. In short we absolutely loved our stay there and will definitely go back when we can. I forgot to mention the just gorgeous beach huts by the sea - now they really are just wonderful, we arrived at lunchtime and spent the afternoon and early evening by the beach with our own little house. In addition, i am currently disabled and they made the greatest effort to make sure my stay was as comfortable and easy as possible.

My partner and I stayed here for one night in August. As soon as you enter the lovely cafe, we were greeted warmly. We were shown our room which was ideal - immaculate and simple with an incredible shower (so high it was like a waterfall!) on the second floor - there's a lift/elevator if you require. We chose to eat at the restaurant that evening and what a superb decision this was. The food was truly incredible - marinated mackerel and pureed parsnips with crevettes followed by a delicious stew and sardines. The Flemish chefs couldn't have done more - talking us through the small menu, helping delivering the food and checking to see if everything was ok. Breakfast wasn't included but we ate there and had a great choice to set us up for the day. The accommodation was fantastic - comfy bed and very peaceful as well as superb food. We loved our stay here and highly recommend

This is situated over a cafe in the middle of Cayeux. There are very few rooms but they are spacious light and airy and scrupulously clean. Also newly decorated. There are no tea and coffee making facilities or a fridge but as it is over a cafe and the staff so obliging I am sure they would bring you what you wanted if asked. There is also free wifi. The continental breakfast is given to you in the cafe and is substantial and beautifully prepared - one of the best we have had. We were at the hotel over a festival weekend so there was a BBQ dinner with the most amazing array of salads and sauces. Also the usual delicious French desserts. The icing on the cake was the best ever Irish coffe made by a most delightful lady working there. If you like it with plenty of whisky this is for you!! Amazing! The proprietor is a very chic lady who speaks English and is utterly charming. The whole staff made us feel so welcome and bent over backwards to help us. I could go on and on but just want to say don't be put off by the rooms being over a typical French bar. If you like genuine staff and a wonderful friendly atmosphere this is for you and the surrounding countryside is stunning.

An unconventional hotel but in a friendly, warm and unique way. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner who, on finding out it was our first time in Cayeux, explained to us everything there was to do in the surrounding area, to make sure to book dinner early and about the attractions that were on that night. Very helpful for first-timers. The room was spacious and the high-ceilinged rain shower one of a kind. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and copious.

After visiting Saint Valery, we decided to stay one more day and looked for a nice hotel.||We found the Hidden Bay Hotel in Cayeux (few kilometers from Saint Valery).||||You arrive through Le Petit Café, a real café with many books and magazines to read, toys for the kids.||||Once you have met Anne, she will bring youto your romm. We had room 2 just above the entrance of the café. And at our great astonishement there was no noise coming from the café !!! Incredible.||||The room is the same as on the pictures of the website. Very clean, very comfortable. nice bathroom with a bathtub||||We went down to the Café for the dinner. ||Everything is fresh, organic if possible, homemade and good. ||||The staff is great, very welcoming, warm and caring.||||We will surely come back with our kids and maybe we will try one of their two other lodgings

Our stay at this hotel got off on the wrong foot when they called us as we were already en route at midday on the day of our arrival to inform us that the adjoining rooms we had booked were no longer available because the occupants had decided to stay over an extra day.||The hotel offered us another pair of rooms that were not interconnected (we had made a point of choosing interconnecting rooms because we have small children), or, if, we were not satisfied with this alternative, to cancel the reservation. We pointed out that this last minute information presented us with no real choice but to accept the alternative that was proposed. It should be noted that the replacement rooms, which unlike the rooms we had reserved, lacked a balcony, were on a higher floor without an elevator, had a tiny, high-placed window with practically no view and were offered at the same price as the rooms we had reserved. The hotel offered no reduction and no gesture of any kind for this sudden substitution. Nor did they apologize, nor did they otherwise seem to comprehend that offering us the possibility of cancellation while we were already en route to the hotel did not amount to an acceptable choice. They insisted on telling us that the people that had stayed over in the rooms that we had reserved were the "right sort of people" ("des gens tout à fait recommendables"), as though this was a justification or consolation...||||On a more general note, the rooms and the bathroom were clean.||The shower was quite nice. (type rain shower) ||No tv in the room though, ||and the wifi didn't work outside of reception areas and the restaurant. ||One other thing that we didn't appreciate much was that there was only one key for locking both rooms..? ||(the rooms were located on one floor with a separate bathroom & an anti chamber / hallway, which was accessible from the staircase, and||which couldn't be locked.||||The breakfast (overpriced, but decent) was served in the attached restaurant, which, in order to access, one needed to go outside of the hotel to enter. Dinner at the restaurant was average, but again overpriced for what it was (undistinguished café fare).||||There was no front desk service to speak off.||Overall the hotel feels more like a B&B, though charges full hotel rates. ||It is definitely overpriced for what it is.
