Hidden Grounds Chai & Coffee House

I love this coffee shop . I always order the lavender iced latte and my husband love the chai matcha latte. The coffee is amazing , the pastries are delicious . The atmosphere is calm, well decorated and very spacey. The space makes me feel like I know who the owners are. The customer service was on point , they were patient and explained everything to us. I have to come back for the merch and trying out other items.

This coffee and chai house was truly a surprise. Authentic chai and good food and coffee options. The chai was amazing. I’ll definitely find my way back here.

Excited to have this closer to me! The pistachio bun is 🔥🔥🔥 And the coffee never disappoints. I ate the Bombay sandwich too fast...no pics. Update: dirty chai 💯💯 best of both.

Amazing place! Got a batch of assorted donuts and everything was a hit! Also tried their chicken tikka puffs, very well done, loved it Big variety on coffees as well, very unique and delicious. I’m a fan of the honey bee latte recommended by the barista working there named Bhargavi who was very sweet with her service

Cardamom coffee was incredible. Maybe best coffee I’ve ever had?! And the cinnamon roll was also amazing. Music was playing a little louder than I’d prefer but nice open space.

We live close by and we stopped by the place to get a Friday evening coffee. I ordered my cappuccino and my wife ordered chai latte with Almond milk. Both were very well done. My wife told me she had the best one so far.

With coffee shops in this area a dime a dozen, ensuring basic service standards are met are key. We had, unfortunately, a very poor experience at Hidden Grounds in Jersey City this morning. We ordered 3 drinks and 2 pastries and then proceeded to wait over 10 minutes for our drinks (mind you in a completely empty shop….i would have been much more understanding had the restaurant been packed!) which were somehow made 1 at a time even though there were 3 staff present. We didn’t even get the 3rd drink we ordered as it had apparently not been heard and rather than apologize, two of the staff members began to blame the third instead of assisting their guests. To make matters worse, when we arrived back home we were greeted with stale, clearly day old pastries. We will not be returning.

New coffee shop. Seems to be family-operated. The coffee is delicious!!!! I’ve had a cortado, rose chai, and honey-bee latte. All drinks have been made to perfection. They are still arranging the ambiance. Food: I have only tried the bagels which were okay.
