I have been patiently waiting for my schedule to align with this coffee joint's hours. The week of the 4th they were closed. They are only open from Wednesday to Sunday. I happen to have today off so today was the day I get to finally check this place out! I love that this place is called Hidden Grounds. It is not conveniently located on your busy road. It's perfectly hidden off of Hill Rd. Perfectly placed in the North End and just a small drive from my place. If I had one word to describe this place, it would be boujee. From the moment you walk up the stairs to get to the front door, you can just tell this place is going to nice. I love the building they are in. The bright white paint with the black trim with the lush trees around it, it's just the prettiest setting. They have warm blankets at the entrance ready for use on those brisk fall mornings. Plenty of tables and chairs outside to enjoy the weather no matter what season it is. I can only imagine how pretty fall season is in that specific spot. Walking in, you don't get your conventional smells and view. It's stunning, bright and spacious. I smelled lavender as my first scent versus smelling coffee. It honestly smelled like an Aveda spa. It could be from the spa next door or the fresh lavender throughout the shop. The lighting, the decor, the setting, it's all just beautiful. The lovely barista behind the counter greeted me and got my drink started. I ordered my usual, a small iced americano with room for cream. I would have liked to add a sugar free syrup but unfortunately they didn't offer any. They do offer quite a few different varieties of organic syrups. I was offered that option but I declined. The shop is on the quiet side, almost a little too quiet. I sat inside for a minute and decided to head outside go enjoy my drink. There were a few patrons working and stitching outside and it too was really quiet. I felt uncomfortable and decided to leave. I have been to quite a few coffee joints and maybe I just like the ones that are a little more vibrant with noise. I snapped a photo of my drink when I got home. I was so out of my element I forgot to take a photo at the venue. My drink was ok. It was on the bitter side. I did add a couple blue packets and a little more half and half which helped tame the bitterness. Glad I came home to modify my drink. I'm sure I wouldn't have finished it due to the bitterness of it. Hidden Grounds is beautiful and conveniently by my home. It's a pleasant drive on Hill to get here. Coming here for coffee would be great but the hours aren't always compatible with my schedule. And they don't offer sugar free syrup options. Even though it didn't really care for my drink, I'm happy I finally got to check this joint out.

Cute ambiance, good coffee, and friendly service. They offer plant milks 👍. They also let us use our own reusable travel coffee cups. Edit: my bf reminded me that he did have a vegan muffin while we were there and he really enjoyed it! 😉

I got an iced matcha with oat milk and simple syrup. It tasted good was just a little gritty. I also went about an hour before they closed and almost all of their food was sold out, which makes sense and says something about how good it is! I did get a slice of banana bread and that hit the spot.

Hidden Grounds has quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops! Their butter latte is absolutely crave-worthy—rich, creamy, and incredibly delicious. I love that they use high-quality grass-fed butter, which adds to the smoothness and depth of flavor. The service is always warm and friendly, making every visit a great experience. It's no surprise that this place is gaining popularity, and while the parking lot is often full, there’s convenient parking available right across the street. If you’re looking for a unique and indulgent coffee experience, Hidden Grounds is a must-visit!

I am a pretty big coffee snob so it is very rare that I get coffee out and about. Hidden Grounds was recommended by another coffee snob friend of mine and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. I got a Pistachio Breve and I am addicted! Great vibe, great food, and the staff were all super nice. Some of the local coffee shops in the area should be trained by this staff on how to extract a decent shot of espresso.

Had the opportunity to check out this new Boise gem. What a calming, adorable atmosphere. The weather was perfect yesterday to sit on the patio with a blanket and sip delicious coffee. My girlfriend and I especially enjoyed the festive cups. We'll definitely be back.

So a cute place to stop in and get a warm, delightful, tasty coffee. I had the Butter Latte and it was a 10/10! The staff are so friendly and the place is so calm and inviting.

Yelp
Hidden Grounds is easily my new favorite coffee shop in the area. The most important factor in any coffee shop review? The coffee--and Hidden Grounds absolutely delivers. Their grass-fed butter latte is phenomenal! It's rich, creamy, and perfectly buttery, striking just the right balance between bold coffee flavor and velvety steamed milk. Best of all, it's not too sweet--exactly how I prefer my lattes. Honestly, I love the butter latte so much that I've been reluctant to try anything else--what if nothing else lives up to it? But beyond their stellar coffee, the service here is fantastic. The staff is always warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. The only downside? The space is a bit small, so I try to visit during quieter hours. Luckily, with warmer weather on the way, outdoor seating will be an option. Parking can be tricky, but there's a bike shop across the street that allows customers to use their lot. You can also park on Catalpa Dr. and take a short, enjoyable walk before and after your coffee. If you haven't been to Hidden Grounds yet, you're missing out!

Yelp
As someone who works remote, I love trying out a new coffee shop where I can work from when I wanna get out of the house. Unfortunately, hidden grounds it's not somewhere I would recommend you work from. 1) biggest issue - they don't have Wi-Fi. A little crazy in 2025. 2) seating is extremely limited 3) the shop is very small and thus pretty loud 4) outlets for charging are not easily accessible 5) most of the tables are tiny and not designed to sit a laptop on 6) coffee is mediocre so there isn't a reason to put up with the negatives Overall, I would only recommend Hidden grounds for pickup order. If you make plans to meet with a friend, there is a high chance you won't find somewhere to sit. And working from Hidden Grounds is nearly impossible.

Yelp
I recently checked out this relatively new coffee shop in Boise and I am obsessed! Coffee drinks that look like cocktails, sign me up! They have a rotating seasonal menu, which is so fun! You can get a new drink every time you visit! They also have a handful of pastries to choose from as well as sourdough bagels. My favorite was the ham and Swiss and the pesto artichoke. I ordered the salted honey vanilla shaken espresso and it was a solid 10/10. This feels like an upscale coffee shop where every detail has been thought of to enhance your coffee experience.

Yelp
Cute little place. However, parking was not convenient, definitely hidden, no sugar free flavors/options, pricey for sizes, and not the greatest drinks. We actually dumped our drinks which normally we can power through and finish things even if we don't love them. They did have some gluten and dairy free pastries, which was nice. But, they were super dense and flavor was ok. The staff wasn't overly friendly as I would have expected, especially in a place like this. But, they were fairly speedy so I will give them that. Was really hoping to like this place, bummer.

Yelp
A newly open organic coffee shop in Boise. I had an oat milk latte with macadamia syrup and a pastry. My coffee and konign aman was good. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
The cutest coffee shop with such nice customer service! We'd seen an instagram post about their bagels and they most definitely lived up to the hype!! Both our coffees were some of the best we've had.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delightful! Tucked away in the green hills of Boise, it's a small space but very calming ambiance. I had been hearing about their flowery coffee, so I knew I had to try. The baristas were very welcoming and friendly. Although they messed up our order and made us their special strawberry matcha instead, they were quick to make the correct drink and let us have both! Both were fantastic! The matcha had the perfect balance of matcha to strawberry flavor and was not too sweet at all, a common problem I find with other coffee shops. We will definitely be back, and if you're in the area, check it out!

Yelp
I love taking drives in the area on the windy roads, and heard about this spot and had to try it! The space is pretty small, so don't expect to do remote work. It's more of a place to stop off at. They messed up our order and gave us Matcha instead of iced coffee, but it happens. They were friendly. We thought it looked good, so they ended up giving us both. They use very high quality Matcha, and the coffee has the perfect ratio with the milk, lavender, and honey. Both drinks were great, the baristas had very good service. Definitely recommend! I'll be back next time i'm in the area!

Yelp
I ordered an extra hot nonfat latte. It came warm-ish. They only have one kind of dairy milk. No wifi. For all of that I would have paid $3.75 for a latte. But instead it was the single most expensive latte I have ever purchased in Boise at $6.36. My regular place down the road is $4.77 and I often get $1 off. Sorry Hidden Grounds, that was my first and last visit.
