Hidden Iceland

Our family (mom, dad and two teenage daughters) just returned from a one-week guided trip to Iceland, and we miss it already. Hidden Iceland really knocked it out of the park. On the front end, they were super responsive and helpful in organizing all the activities and lodging. Tons of great suggestions and insight from our travel consultant, Nina. Our travel guide, Robert, was the absolute best. Knowledgeable, nice, funny, and a great photographer. I feel like we really lucked out having him. I'm sure the other Hidden Iceland guides are great, but we really had a great vibe with Robert. Plus, his playlist for the long rides was awesome! Thank you again, Robert! All in all, our experience couldn't have been better. We highly recommend using these folks when you visit Iceland!

BEST TRIP EVER, all thanks to Hidden Iceland, Anna and Robert!!! From start to finish, our experience with Hidden Iceland was AMAZING! Anna made planning the trip incredibly easy. From the moment I spoke with her she listened to everything I was looking for and built a personalized incredible itinerary for our family. Even when we were in Iceland they were always around to help us whether it was where to eat or what to do. Our whale watching was cancelled on our first full day due to the wind and they contacted me with a few different options that we could do instead that day. I could go on and on about how helpful and easy they are to deal with. The accommodations they chose were great and our guide Robert was even better! From the moment we met Robert and he loaded ALL our luggage into the van to our last day with him was spectacular! We couldn't have asked for a better guide! He took us to the most amazing places! His photography is INCREDIBLE!! We have so many amazing photos that he took on his camera and shared with us. Our whole family enjoyed spending 5 days full days with Robert. Thank you! Everything was perfect from the pick up from the airport to the drop off at the airport. I don't usually write reviews but I had to because this company was amazing!

In one word, our trip was...Incredible!! Thanks to the planning and execution of the team at Hidden Iceland. Iceland is simply beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed each excursion, all of our accommodations, and the magnificent landscape and nature of the island. But, having traveled a bit, we realize the impact your tour guide can have on your experience. We all agreed that our guide was the perfect host/tour guide. Our contact at Hidden Iceland curated a perfect trip. She listened to our hopes for the trip and added suggestions when asked. The activities seemed to flow seamlessly into each other with a luxurious trip to the spa at the end of the trip. Our guide, Fannar, provided historical background combined with country lore that added to the magic of the trip. If not for Fannar, we would not have learned as much and wouldn't have enjoyed every aspect of our trip. He came to each excursion and ensured that our individual needs were met. He was also very perceptive to our group dynamics and knew when to talk and when to be quiet. He was helpful, but not overbearing and overall just a pleasure to travel with. We will be highly recommending Hidden Iceland and Fannar to all our family and friends.

They did an excellent job crafting a 9-day itinerary for our family around the southern and western coasts. We have a 4 and 6-year-old, and they included fun kid activities every day. As a bonus, we forgot our passports in a hotel safe, and someone from the company managed to swing by and bring it back to Reykjavik for us! Lifesaver.

Our group did the 1 day glacier and south coast day trip. It was a perfect snapshot of Iceland & some of its wonders. Our host Robert, was the most knowledgeable and friendly tour guide for our trip - we loved him. We were privileged to be on a private tour; the minibus was comfortable and Robert’s knowledge of the glacier and Iceland was clear and made for more authentic tour. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an incredible experience with Prokop as our guide in Iceland. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the country’s history, geology, and culture throughout our journey. His patience and calm demeanor made the trip even more enjoyable—always taking the time to answer questions and ensure everyone was comfortable. What stood out most was Prokop’s adaptability. Whether it was shifting plans due to changing weather or accommodating the needs of the group, he handled everything with professionalism and a smile. He was also incredibly helpful, offering great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed at each stop. Thanks to Prokop, our visit to Iceland was not only seamless but truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Levi, our guide, was terrific. He went above and beyond in all things and activities. Hidden Iceland was prompt, efficient, and highly organized in every facet of our visit to Iceland. We will certainly use Hidden Iceland on our next trip to Iceland and highly recommend them, especially Levi.

We wanted to go off the beaten path, concentrating primarily on the Westfjords, on a self-drive tour. Avoiding the throngs of tourists as much as possible. Working closely with us, Aaron at Hidden Iceland did a great job in customizing an itinerary that did just that. Everything from accommodations, rental car, food and snack recommendations were expertly provided. The attention to detail and interactive navigation capability of the TripCreator app was outstanding. The companies who partner with Hidden Iceland, to provide the activities we chose, were also very good. Throughout the planning process, I was in contact with several of the Hidden Iceland team members. They were all very responsive and made me feel like I was dealing with friends rather than a business.
