Beautiful little lodge with wonderful people who treat you like family. Free hot and tasty breakfast everyday, free drinks in the evening, well appointed suites, good location. They loaned us bear spray without us even asking. Their lobby was a cozy gathering place for guests to chill and talk to each other in in the evening like it’s 20 years ago. I loved the vibe of the place, had a great stay. It was only bettered by the fact that we got to witness the northern lights on our drive in from the airport. Will definitely be back again some day.

It was just as wonderful as I had remembered. We just got back from Hidden Moose with our 4 year old son to ski. The lodge, our room, staff, breakfast and amenities were top notch. I always enjoy chatting with other guests in the living room after a day of adventure. It’s cozy, comfortable and has great vibes. We will be back!

Enjoyed a great stay on an off season weekend! Customer service was top notch, location was perfect and price was decent. Beautiful, cozy place, private balcony, indoor and outdoor fires, hot tub, and a delicious breakfast, all made for an awesome stay. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at Hidden Moose Lodge in Whitefish, MT. The location is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet with super comfortable beds. The staff is really friendly and made us feel right at home. The breakfast they serve from 8-10am is fantastic—delicious and gourmet quality. The hot tub and seating areas around the property are perfect for relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A experience like I've never had before. These people know about customer service! A glass of wine or a beer at check in! An amazing full breakfast! Beautiful Inn with charming little surprises throughout! Thus will definitely be our go to from now on when we stay in Whitefish. All the staff are super friendly and treat you like a friend visiting in thier home!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was great and after a long day of hiking at Glacier, we loved getting our complimentary drink and sitting in the hot tub. We definitely plan on coming back :) We really liked the location too; close enough to Glacier where it's an easy drive to get in to the park but also in town so we had plenty of restaurant and shopping options.

Our stay at the Hidden Moose Lodge was amazing! Walking distance to dinning, walking trails and, Whitefish. The staff and owners were fun! Breakfast was amazing! Fires at night! Thank you Hidden Moose Lodge for making our stay above and beyond expectations!

This is at the very top of places I’ve stayed around the world. So much character and charm. Staff and owner were incredible and friendly without fail… my wife and I were reading out by the waterfall in the back and the staff came out to bring us wine and to check on us twice. Hot tub was wonderful after a long hike down the Danny On trail. Breakfast was delicious each of our 3 mornings here. Clean, cute little deck off each room to relax before bed. Cannot recommend it enough. Whitefish is a great destination for Glacier, Big Mountain, hiking, golf, lakes, the colorful northwest Montana town and more, but we might come back just to stay at Hidden Moose Lodge again!

Yelp
Great place! One of nicer in area, clean, great breakfasts -and staff very attentive. Would stay here again for sure Bed super comfy They even made sure we had everything we needed when we had to leave early in the morning .. No place is perfect but this place came pretty close .

Yelp
Hidden Moose Lodge was selected by my friend who lived in Montana. It was absolutely adorable. The staff was so kind and generous. My room was beautiful and i loved the entryway with the fireplace. We had my friends bday there and we had so much fun in the hottub. The staff helped us get cakes ready, and served us wine, and make takeaway breakfasts for our boat trip. I really enjoyed the hospitality.

Yelp
Stayed for 2 nights, 3 days. I had an overall enjoyable stay. I was in room 16. It's a normal lodge room. One of their cheaper rooms. My room was located on the first floor. I had a door that led outside to my own private patio with beautiful view of the trees. I liked that I didn't have to enter through the main entrance to get to my room. I had my own private entrance/exit where I can walk out to my car in the parking lot. Patio furniture was clean. As beautiful as it was outside, unfortunately I was able to hear the cars passing by very easily. It made sitting outside not so enjoyable anymore. Especially when it's a truck or semi passing by. Being on the first floor, I heard so many footsteps from upstairs. They were quite loud too. I was able to hear through the walls when someone was taking a shower as well from upstairs and the room next to me. The decor everywhere made the place very charming in its own way. However, some of the couches in the main lobby area and decor pillows in my own room seem old and was torn. I think some things need to be replaced with something new. Bathroom had the essentials. The shower wall tiles itself looked outdated. But the water warmed up quick and water pressure was good. They provide Aveda products. Bed was comfy for the most part. My pillows were a bit too soft and squishy. Comforter was nice and kept me warm during the night. During my stay I was told the heater was not working. Therefore, they provided me with a small heater that I could plug into the wall. It worked ok overall, but once it gets winter time, a bigger heater for the room will definitely be needed! No housekeeping services provided during my stay due to covid. I'm ok with that since I didn't stay that long anyways. But if you need extras of anything (eg, shampoo, towels, etc), I'm sure they can easily accommodate you. The tv in my room is an old Vizio. It didn't have alot of channels, but very basic ones. I did like that I had a alarm clock that had plug and USB outlets on top of it to charge anything. That was very convenient. If you're hungry and too lazy to drive anywhere, there's a restaurant called The Last Chair located right next door. It was a 5 min walk from my room patio door to the restaurant's door. Food is good too! Nice ambiance there. Or you can order online for food to-go and enjoy it in your cozy room. The staff was very friendly. The first older lady I met helped check me in and gave me a tour of the place. Then she switched shifts with the daughter of the owners of this Bed and Breakfast. Unfortunately, I don't remember the two lady's names, but both were so nice and very easy to talk to and laugh with. The daughter easily popped out a map and gave me great recommendations of things to do in the area and places to eat. The older lady let me borrow their bear spray for free since she knew I wanted to go to Glacier NP. That was extremely considerate of her! Especially since those things are so expensive to purchase. There's a nice fire pit outside that's great to enjoy with others. There's an area where a lot of seats are provided. It was cool because some of them hanged so you can swing on them. There's a cool gondola lift that you can sit inside as well. Unfortunately, it was so dirty with dirt, leaves, and spider webs inside that it completely lost its charm. I definitely did not want to sit in there anymore. I hope they clean that soon because I know future guests would love to sit in there and take pictures. Parking was very confusing when I first arrived. There wasn't that many cars there yet when I arrived, but the cars that were there parked in such weird locations. There are no parking lines painted on the ground, so that made it even harder to figure out where to park. It wasn't until more cars arrived that I was able to figure out their parking system. However, I even saw a few people drive up after me also confused on where to park. So I highly highly recommend they paint parking lines on the ground. It would make guest's lives so easy! Happy hour is 3pm-10pm. Which means they provide free wine or beer. Everyone is limited to 2 cups/bottles only. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to try their breakfast. They serve it from 8am-10am. I wish they served much earlier for those who like to get an early start and get to Glacier NP early to beat traffic. I did read in their binder that's provided in the room that they can serve to-go breakfast for those who want it early. But I don't think they would give me mine when I left to head to the park by 6am. Once again, I enjoyed my stay here overall. It was my very first time experiencing a Bed & Breakfast. I'm glad to have experienced it here and would recommend this place to others as well.

Yelp
Great lodge near Whitefish. We stayed in the Old Goat Suite. Room was clean and cozy. Breakfast each morning was good. The hot tub was nice. All in all a great place.

Yelp
Beware that a confirmed reservation is not confirmed at that contracted rate. Book at your own risk! The owner of Hidden Moose refused to honor a reservation rate that I booked directly with the property. In fact, they reached out to inform me that my confirmed rate is increasing! I've had the reservation for over 3 weeks. I'm a repeat guest that has stayed at the property before. Hotels are at a premium these particular dates, so I was proactive (8 months in advance) in securing lodging at the reserved/advertised standard rate. The owner blames his booking system for the "glitch" that booked me at a standard rate vs their premium rate. The owner refuses to honor the rate and is demanding I pay the premium rate or else he will cancel my reservation. As the customer and repeat at that, I am being asked to cover a "glitch" on their end (standard rate vs premium rate). What business doesn't honor their rate? What business cancels a rate and leaves a repeat customer to find other lodging? I'll answer it. Kent at Hidden Moose does! There is a music festival in town that weekend and he is playing the numbers game (supply and demand). He knows it will catch a bigger price and is willing to cancel my confirmed rate. It's not about the "glitch" in the system. Kent's in hospitality but far from hospitable. Again, I booked 8 months out from the festival. He is just now realizing it and seeking a premium rate from those that are confirmed already. Avoid! He's shown he'll do it once. **That night he reflected on our conversation and made a donation to a local food bank. He didn't call me back or write me to honor my rate. He made a tax-deductible donation for his business to express that the increase wasn't about greed. Then will relist the room for a premium rate. Leaving me (a repeat customer) to find other accommodations. Unprofessional and didn't honor their rate because of supply and demand. ***For what it's worth, this is my first review! That should tell you something about the interactions and experience with Kent and Hidden Moose.

Yelp
I'm a native Montanan now proudly a desert rat living in Arizona. Fortunately I left an off-spring, my gorgeous daughter Megan, back in Montana which gives me an excuse to get back to Big Sky Country. As great as it is to visit Missoula, we usually get out and have an adventure and since she has fallen in love with the Whitefish area we decided to spend a couple of days there and lucked into staying at this world class lodge. Oktoberfest was going on so the town was abuzz and rooms were limited and Megan booked this for us, the last room they had. I have a feeling we just were in the right place and the right time with a cancellation or something because this place is something special. As you can see from my pics and others, this place is spectacular. The towering rock fireplace, the family-style dining area, my room was spacious, welcoming, and cozy. The bed was perfect, I slept so well in the cool Montana air! We were graciously fixed a delicious western Montana breakfast of sausage, pancakes, and a large bowl of fresh fruit- all with excellent coffee. But as with most places like this, it's the staff that really makes a difference. We were treated so well. Everyone took time to chat, give us the 4-11 on the area (bears and bikes). We were given ample time to check out and enjoyed time on the patio and drinking coffee by the fireplace. Whitefish has become a four-seasons destination and I can't believe there is a better lodge in the area, make this your first choice and you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We stayed at the hidden moose lodge and was so impressed! Top notch - staff, location, accommodations, cleanliness just to name a few. Every morning the staff prepares an amazing breakfast for their guests. The setting for the hot tub and the various outdoor seating options along with each room having their own porch area goes beyond comfort and beauty. If in the whitefish area you don't want to miss staying at the hidden moose - we absolutely will.

Yelp
This is one of the best places we have experienced in many years of traveling. Customer service is as good as it gets. Breakfast is fantastic and has plenty of variety. The staff is incredibly friendly and anxious to help. Their reputation is well established, so make sure you reserve a room early.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I booked one night at Hidden Moose Lodge because we were flying into town late and didn't want to navigate through Glacier National Park in the dark. It was his first time there and I wanted to make sure he saw the sites on our drive into the mountains! So, we took a chance on Hidden Moose Lodge and booked their cheapest guest room knowing we'd be getting in late and leaving early in the morning. When we arrived, were were greeted with wine and a free upgrade to The Garden Suite! The reason? Another guest wanted the same type of room we booked, but they wanted it for more than one night, so the folks at Hidden Moose Lodge upgraded us to an empty room to make room for the other guests' longer stay. Makes sense and we were totally cool with it. Obviously. ;-) By doing that, they garnered a couple of loyalists and repeat customers who have decided to make Hidden Moose Lodge part of our annual Glacier National Park tradition. This year, we tacked two extra days onto our trip and booked the same room we luckily got upgraded to last time, The Garden Suite... It's a gorgeous room at a price point that we probably wouldn't have ever booked had we not gotten spoiled during our first trip. After staying the night and feeling pampered in that private suite, we will definitely make it a point to stay there year after year. I couldn't believe how luxurious The Garden Suite was... I spent my whole morning before we left taking pictures so I could be sure to tell the world about this hidden gem. Our next visit is booked for September!

Yelp
The lodge was exactly what we hoped for when we planned our trip to Montana. The staff was very hospitable to the point that we felt like we were staying with family. Their "lobby" area (if you want to call it that), felt more like a home than a hotel. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace at night. (The fireplace is AWESOME!) Their hot tub area is open to the outside and it was really great to sit there and enjoy the view. Their daily breakfast was delicious. Downtown Whitefish is just a few minutes away, and Whitefish Mountain Resort was a short drive away, as well. Plus Glacier National Park was about 30 minutes away so the lodge was perfectly situated for what we wanted to do. We could not ask for a nicer stay.

Maggie W.

Yelp
By far the best place my boyfriend and I have ever stayed! To start, they give each person 2 complimentary drinks (wine or beer) when you check in. The staff was super friendly and informative about the town and what to check out. Everything in the main house and our room was clean/spotless. The rooms were so cute and cozy and even had aveda products for the shower stuff! Breakfast was fresh fruit, bacon, and lemon cream French toast. AMAZING. They always had coffee and hot water for tea set out even at night. Although we didn't get a chance to have a fire, the outdoor patio and fire pit area was beautiful with a nice gazebo, waterfall, and hot tub. We would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Mice and Other Issues Negatives * Terrible WiFi (no WiFi in our room) * Most of the T.V. channels listed in the B&B's binder were unavailable * Staff didn't check beneath the furniture before our stay. There was a child's toy under our bed and lots of dust beneath the bathroom vanity * The grout and some of the tiles in the shower were gross * The bathroom door wouldn't open all the way. It would hit the floor. * There was only one tiny bath mat. We needed at least two; one for the tub and one for the shower. * Vents weren't screwed in all the way (the screws were sticking out). * There was a gap between the outlet and the wall. * There were some cobwebs on the ceiling * There was gunk between the bathroom vanity and the wall. * Mediocre breakfast. It was okay, but nothing like the food I'd expect from a B&B. * Repeat breakfasts. We stayed for four days and had French toast with bacon twice. * Staff were missing or showed up late half of the time * Management scolded an employee for being late in front of guests at breakfast * One employee was swearing while telling a story at breakfast time (there was a child present) * We felt rushed at breakfast. Staff would ask us multiple times if we were finished, even though we had food left on our plates and we were still eating * There was a mouse in our room. I'm pretty sure it had been living in the sofa or it was coming in and out of the little hole by the entrance to our room. We told staff, and they brought traps/bait to set up in the room. The staff didn't want to set up the traps herself and forgot to bring bait. While checking the traps later that day, we came across old traps that were covered in dust. This is clearly an ongoing problem and there needs to be a better solution than whatever is being done now. On a side note, someone had turned the "snow" pillow in our room upside down so that it said "mous." I think it was a sign. * Imperfect paint. There are paint drips on the doorframe and windows and mistakes along the edges of the walls. These aren't a big deal, but my dad always told me that a bad paint job is typically indicative that there are other corners being cut. I think he was right. * Lots of noise. The B&B is along a 45 MPH road with a decent amount of traffic. There was also a mechanical whirring sound coming from outside our room that never stopped. * The heater/AC unit in our room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Plus, it was finicky. Most of the time it didn't register what we inputted on the controller. We ended up either being too cold or too hot most of the time. * Drafty windows and doors * Hot water ran out too quickly * The DVDs we borrowed were scratched, so they didn't play properly * They offer complementary beer and wine, but there are only two options for beer (light and dark, which gets boring after a few days) and the wine tasted cheap. * The lighting in the room was too dim. * There were different types of lightbulbs in the fixture above the bathroom vanity. One was super bright and the other two were dim, which made it difficult to evenly apply makeup. * The curtain in the closet was hung too closely to the wall, so we couldn't slide it open. * The mattress had two, big, sunken areas. You can't sleep in the middle of the bed because you'll just roll into those spots. * Some of the plants and trees need to be pruned back. We had to duck a lot while walking the path up to our room. * There were lots of weeds in the garden * Parking can be a bit difficult because there aren't any lines on the pavement. Cars aren't always parked efficiently. * Sometimes staff were slow to replace mugs and clean breakfast tables * Limited breakfast seating which made it difficult for larger families to sit together * Sometimes staff can be hard to find, so if you need someone you have to use the outdoor phone. * There was a dead deer on the trail behind the inn Positives: * They allow kids, which is something that a lot of B&Bs won't allow. * It's approximately 6 minutes away from downtown Whitefish * It's close to trails * There's a peaceful, outdoor atmosphere * Staff are knowledgable about the area * They serve organic maple syrup with breakfast * If you prefer decaf coffee with breakfast, you just have to ask for it. * Our room had a big flat screen T.V. that you could swivel. * Complementary breakfast each morning * Complementary beverages every evening/night * Friendly staff * A big fireplace is in the shared living room * Each room has a private, little patio * Dishes, glasses, and utensils were cleaned well * Whenever bacon was served, we got three pieces. They don't skimp. After we found the hole in our wall, we were moved to a different room. The other room had just as many issues with upkeep and cleaning as the first room. We didn't see any mice though. We will not be staying here again.

Yelp
We were really disappointed in this place, especially after the great reviews. Two problems to note: 1, it is loud, loud, loud. It is right next to a very busy road with logging trucks, dump trucks and tourists zooming by constantly. We tried to sit on the deck to enjoy a bottle of wine and it was so loud, we couldn't sit out there. 2, the place is really run down. It looks like it is suffering from a general lack of care over the years. It was kind of dumpy. That is disappointing to us.

Richard B.

Yelp
We booked the lodge for a multi-family trip. Great location, close to whitefish and glacier. The owners/operator and his family/staff were absolutely fantastic. The daily breakfasts were hearty and awesome. You could relax at the lodge which was plush and comfortable or go into town within minutes. The staff was always in a good mood even when dealing with the high maintenance people in our group. I definitely would recommend staying here again.

Sherri S.

Yelp
My friend & I stayed here for 4 nights to ski & play. Super friendly staff who was accommodating to our needs. Lodging comes with a delicious breakfast & happy hour drinks in the afternoon. We stayed in Moose 23, a very spacious room with two comfy queen beds , mini refrigerator and an updated bathroom. This room had a door to the outside as well as an interior door connecting the room hotel style to the rest of the Lodge. The lodge is situated 1-2 miles from downtown Whitefish. There is a great restaurant just a block down the street & the snow bus will stop right in front of the lodge for a free lift up to the ski resort. I would highly recommend this lodging & we will be back. Thank you Moose Staff!

Nina P.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the Hidden Moose Lodge. The rooms are very well decorated and comfortable to stay in. They offer complementary breakfast every morning which is delicious and are very gracious hosts. The lodge is also very well situated only 5 minutes away from the main shopping and dining area in Whitefish and only a 10 minute drive to the ski resort. If you are planning to travel to Whitefish, this is definitely the place to stay!

Laura G.

Yelp
One of the nicest places we have ever stayed. So much better than a hotel or timeshare. Great mountain ambiance and staff. Breakfasts are outstanding and they are very accommodating to dietary and food preferences. We're morning people and on Eastern Standard Time , so they showed me how to make coffee. We stayed in the main lodge downstairs which was great. Close to coffee, hot tub, and main room. Private entrance and ground floor was very helpful when dealing with ski luggage. If there wasn't a fire going, someone asked if we would like it lit. Ask about lighting the outside fire lit when heading to the hot tub. They also have discounted ski tickets for purchase. We had a great time and hope to return.

Yelp
Awesome time with my family!! Delicious breakfast and felt right at home! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Lent us bear spray for our trail hikes and made dinner reservations for us as well. Really excellent place. My nine year old loved the jacuzzi, towels always available. Fire places and fire pits made it even cozier. We'll be back again!

Yelp
I was supposed to go on a trip on 8/30 (last Wednesday) to Montana, but due to Hurricane Harvey this became impossible as the airports out of the city were closed. Without any question the airline refunded my money, as they should. While on this trip I was going to be making a 2 day trip to Glacier National Park where I planned to stay one night at the #HiddenMooseLodge. Prior to Hurricane Harvey making landfall I called the hotel to see what my options were as it appeared this was going to be a catastrophic storm. They couldn't give me a straight answer. On 8/28, I had my friend contact the hotel to see what my options were because my flights had been canceled and I had been stuck at work. They told me that they would credit my deposit towards a futuristic stay, which I was happy with. On 8/31 I looked at their website as I was now able to sit down and try to replan this trip. I noticed that the rooms were nearly $100 cheaper a night than they were when I booked my room. I proceeded to call the hotel to simply ask them if I would be able to be refunded the excess money due to there being a difference in the room costs. When I called, I spoke to Kent Taylor, the owner of the hotel. After I tried to explain to Kent my whole situation he was very abrupt with me, stating that it was breakfast time at the lodge and he was "too much to talk to me right now". This rubbed me wrong! I was very upset that a simple question could turn into this. Kent later told me in an email that he had guests standing in front of him and they took priority over my phone call.. this fine, I get it. However, why don't you answer the phone and say "yes ma'am, I'm helping a guest at the moment could I put you on hold or give you a call back?" Rather than "I'm too busy to speak to you at the moment." After Kent hung up the phone I attempted to call the toll free number listed on their website in attempts to speak to someone who could give me the time of day, possibly someone not located at the actual resort so they weren't too busy. Well I had no such luck. I got ahold of Kent again.. once he realized it was me he laughed at me and told me again that he didn't have time for me. From here, I contacted my credit card company to see if there was anything I could do since I was getting any respect from the hotel. We (the credit card company and myself) called the hotel the following day and spoke to Kent again. Kent was still rude, insensitive to my situation, and had zero empathy. At one point I was trying to explain to Kent again my situation with the Hurricane and everything being flooded and how I would be there if I could... his response to this was "I know, you've already told me 3 times.." Also, several times during our conversation the credit card representative had to ask Kent to please be quiet and let me finish talking. With all of this being said I proceeded to file a dispute with the credit card company because I do not want to give this man or his business any of my money. I followed up by emailing the company and letting them know I would be filing a dispute, writing his company a bad review due to the way I was treated over a simple question, and I was sincerely disappointed in their lack of customer service. Kent's response was as follows "Slamming me every where you can is definitely your right and keeping your deposit is my prerogative.  However,  I really don't want the money therefore, I am making a donation to the Harvey hurricane relief fund in your name.  For the greater good." Not only will he not give me my money back "because he had to turn away customers due to my reservation" that he had no problem rebooking as you can see in the picture I took on 9/1 (my reservation date). He has no lost wages in this situation due to being able to rebook the room, he still won't give me a refund.. instead he's going to "donate" my money, which I doubt really happens.

Yelp
Don't overlook this gem of a place to stay in Whitefish! Kent and Kim, innkeepers/owners, know how to make you feel welcome. The accommodations are spacious, well-appointed and clean. Breakfast (included) ranged from huckleberry pancakes with sausage to lemon cream cheese french toast with bacon, all served with fresh fruit, OJ, and hot coffee or tea. We hated to leave, but we plan to return.

Rosie M.

Yelp
We have traveled all over the world and this is the neatest place we have ever stayed! We spent five nights in the Garden Suite. It was fabulous! We enjoyed our own private garden and claw foot tub in the bathroom. The management and staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant! The waterfall sitting area was a lovely place for chatting, checking emails or just having some quiet time. Breakfast was very nice as well. We honestly cannot say there were any controllable negatives during our stay. Unfortunately the fires were a bit of nuisance but we were still able to enjoy the Whitefish community. Such a nice town with excellent places to eat and lots of things to do. We highly recommend Hidden Moose Lodge and all the fun surrounding activities! We left wanting more!!

Donald G.

Yelp
It doesn't get any better than this. A nightly house nightcap at you kidding me!! Fireplaces galore. Unbelievable home made breakfast. The staff is beyond accommodating, polite, helpful, and the owner is the perfect representation of this place!

Adam Z.

Yelp
My brother and I stayed at this hidden gem. The hosts and owners were accommodating and hospitable, always asking us if we needed anything. I had the tastiest golden brown colored huckleberry pancakes served with warm organic maple syrup. The coffee was pretty darn good as well, robust and strong, and it was all you can drink. I love how the owners were making the pancakes and refilling the coffee as much as we needed. The design of the bedrooms look like they were carved out of Architectural digest. The bedrooms were super clean and the shower pressure was ideal for sore muscles. They had a hot tube which was soothing on the joints, after the long hikes we took in Glacier national park. Hidden Moose Lodge Made the first trip to Montana a memorable experience.

Marsena A.

Yelp
We spent a week here and enjoyed it immensely. Very friendly innkeepers and staff. Great breakfasts every morning and wine and beer in the evenings. Rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished. Pet friendly, if you are traveling with one. Would definitely stay here again.

Peter V.

Yelp
My wife and I just spent 4 nights at this amazing place, our second time we have been here. The lodge itself is so homey, romantic and classy all at the same time. The rooms are super comfortable and well appointed. The setting against the mountain backdrop is so pretty and so Montana. The service level is second to none from Kent and his staff. The breakfast made from scratch each morning is above restaurant grade and delicious such as huckleberry pancakes with bacon and fruit. You can't beat the location of this sanctuary either: East side of Whitefish about 15 minutes from some of the best skiing in the Rockies. We highly recommend the Hidden Moose. We will be back.

Great place and we enjoyed it. Rooms were clean, there's a selection of DVD for you to borrow and watch, hot tub and two outdoor areas for socializing and unlimited drinks in the evening. Their staff and owner are so knowledgable of the area (including Canada). Definitely a must when visiting Glacier National Park.

Yelp
What a great find! A comfortable bed, large Jacuzzi tub, very accommodating and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, and a tranquil setting on the back deck, made our stay the best b&b experience to-date. If you go, have Kyle take you on a sunset cruise of Whitefish Lake.

Yelp
Hot tub is enclosed on 3 sides and above by walls and roof. 4th side opens to the great outdoors. Through the rising steam, savor the view of a wooded hillside, pockets of white hail, blazing fire pit, while enjoying chardonnay - a treat for all senses! The great room includes a statement wood-burning fireplace, comfy leather couches, and the best of Pandora background music. Breakfast pancakes are light & fluffy, fruit freshly sliced, quiches freshly baked, ... Hidden Moose is two buildings integrated perfectly into the woodland landscape, with winding paths, wrap-around decks, discrete waterfalls, and plenty of trees and shrubs between venue and road so it feels off the beaten path although it is in fact, very conveniently, on a major road close to downtown Whitefish. This is the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Not that I've stayed in so many, only about a half dozen in various locations from Virginia to Vermont, but that's enough to recognize the difference between very good and at the next level. Not that it's perfect. The cowboy hats on display in the Western Room were a tad dusty, so for cleanliness they only get a 9 out of 10. And the HVAC was poorly designed, so the owners supplement with fans and space heaters as needed. Personally, I'd take a ductless Mitsubishi on the wall in lieu of some of the charming decorative items. But I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, despite those drawbacks.

Yelp
This place is a treasure! We traveled to Montana from North Carolina and stayed several places around the state. This was by far the best place for hospitality, convenience, and amenities! And we got the most for our money, too!!

Yelp
Always a wonderful stay at the charming Hidden Moose. The staff is fantastic - from the warm welcome to amazing rooms, a welcome glass of wine and the jaw dropping rooms it is the ultimate Montana experience. Love the new outdoor jacuzzi and the newest suite with a claw foot tub! Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The location and the room were really nice - 5 minutes from the mountain and/or downtown Whitefish - with a big, clean room and a great tub! Staff were really friendly and cheerful - but not very skilled when it came down to it. The driveway was rain atop sheet-ice, even the "lower" parking area was unattainable in our front-wheel drive Corolla. We arrived at 3:00 pm and it took 4 attempts to crest the hill and get into a spot. We slid our way to check-in and advised the very friendly young lady about our driveway difficulties and concerns for our future comings and goings. She responded by saying no one else had reported problems and that there was nothing to be done. I asked if there were someone who could throw some sand down or run a blade through the slop before it surely re-froze that evening - she told me that wasn't possible. We shrugged our shoulders in disbelief and went to our lovely room. Upon returning from dinner that evening around 9:00 pm, the driveway had become completely unattainable. With no spots on the roadway to safely leave the car, we tried for 22 minutes before gaining a tenuous hold on a slick side hill. With shoe-cleats, we were able to gain the hill on foot and get to the lobby. We again advised the young lady of our difficulties where we were met again with apathy and disinterest. A breakfast that consisted of a smokey-lobby (doors thrown open to dissipate the smoke) flavored burnt bacon and huckleberry pancakes (good, but nothing remarkable) with a sub-par syrup and frozen orange juice left us longing for the usual culinary masterpieces associated with a top-notch Bed and Breakfast. After all, we pay a lot more for the breakfast! Our past experiences boasted breakfasts we couldn't get at home, we received one my daughters make for me on my birthday. When we told the owner the next morning about the driveway and our difficulties, she too was completely disinterested and unapologetic in any way. Lovely place, but nothing special.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for 5 evenings...2 of those nights were spent in a deluxe jacuzzi room, 3 nights were in a basic lodge room. Let me just say that if we had stayed in the deluxe room for all 5 nights, this place would deserve 5 stars. We were definitely highly disappointed by the lodge room. It's definitely worth spending an extra $20 a night for a deluxe room (or nicer). I'll go into details below. The breakfasts were always delicious and substantial, consisting of dishes such as lemon ricotta pancakes, pepper frittata, or cream cheese filled french toast. Fresh fruit was always a colorfully healthier side. The shared lodge patio overlooked bits of Montana's dense forest. The overall decor is rustic chic and absolutely gorgeous! The deluxe jacuzzi room was pristine and very quaint. Again...the decor! So beautiful! The temperature was well-maintained, and our room included a private second floor deck outside. This room was truly perfect for the first two nights of our honeymoon. Between this room, the common area and the breakfast menu, this place would deserve 5 stars. Upon our return from backpacking, we stayed 3 more nights in a slightly less expensive lodge room...and were highly disappointed. We were under the impression that the room would simply be without fancier amenities, such as a private deck or jacuzzi. Instead, the room was uncomfortable and lacking any sort of welcome. While the price was lower, I did not feel like we got what we paid for. Our room was located on the ground level next to the parking lot. There was a glass door that led directly into the parking lot, so it left me feeling vulnerable and without much privacy. Windows and drywall areas were left visibly unfinished, and decor was haphazardly thrown together. Wires were sticking out from the ceiling, and nails were sticking out from baseboards. Most importantly, the temperature was not well-maintained. It was rather cold during nights in this room, and because the whole lodge was running on one heating system, all they could do was offer us extra blankets. Overall, had we based our stay on the lodge room, this place would deserve 3 stars overall. Average out our time between the two rooms, it gets 4 stars.

Yelp
4 of us stayed at the Hidden Moose Lodge for a short ski trip. We arrived to Whitefish by train at 0730 in the morning and Kent the owner picked us up. He graciously allowed us to store our baggage and equipment in one of the rooms until check in time. The lodge is very cozy, relaxing and the staff were all wonderful. I loved the ambiance of the lodge and the breakfasts were very yummy! I thought the huckleberry pancakes were amazing!! The lounging area was great, with a huge roaring fire and comfy couches and lots of interesting books and magazines to peruse through. Complimentary beer or wine in the evening was a nice welcome after a day of skiing. My room was very cozy and I loved the bed and the sheets! On our scheduled departure day, our train was delayed 22 hours due to a derailment west of whitefish. Kent and Kim graciously offered to let us store our stuff after checkout and hang out by the fire until we left to go to the train station at 3:00 in the morning!! We will be forever grateful for that! Even though our ski trip was hampered by nasty weather and train delays, the Hidden Moose Lodge and the town of Whitefish made up for it!

Yelp
The Hidden Moose is the best place to stay in Whitefish. The owners are incredibly hospitable, their food is fantastic, and the rooms are great. It's not exactly the Westin, but hey, it's Montana!

Yelp
Staying at the Hidden Moose Lodge this week, and it is great. The staff is very friendly especially Carmen, recommending things to do, and restaurants to try, etc. (Carmen even played guitar and sang for us, let me tell you, this girl can sing!) Great breakfasts and fantastic evenings by the fire with a glass of wine. I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This place is incredible! The staff and owners are fantastic people and you cannot beat their breakfast. We used to only stay at the whitefish lodge and firebrand but that all changed after this weekend and staying here. I highly recommend booking a stay at the Hidden Moose Lodge if going to Whitefish!

Yelp
This place is very cute though the staff is overly familiar with their guests and rather unprofessional. It felt like they thought it was a privilege for me to give them my patronage. I felt like I was just a means for someone else to pay their mortgage. During breakfast, some of the staff (Kent and others) were in the office making fun of people who had called trying to make a reservation. Another staff person knocked on my door right as I was laying down with my wife to see if she could come in and water the plants on the deck. So bizarre. I loved the buildings and the grounds but the staff greatly detracted from my experience. I would not recommend this place.

Yelp
This gem of a B&B is about 2 miles outside of downtown Whitefish, tucked into a hillside. It is charming inside and out. Our room, in the secondary building had a lovely little deck with chairs where we could watch the deer feed every evening. The rooms were large and warmly decorated. The staff was phenomenal - they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were so generous that you didn't need to eat lunch - and DELICIOUS - every one, and my husband's special dietary needs were met without a fuss. Cookies in the afternoon (the chocolate chip shortbread is to die for) and 2 large pours of wine per guest in the evening. The main lodge has a big stone fireplace and is very cozy to sit and visit with other guests or just relax with your wine. Highly recommended!

Yelp
My family and I stayed her during the month of July and we all absolutely loved it. Everything is done in a moose scene and so classy. The rooms are beautiful and were quiet. e had a very nice patio with flowers and chairs to relax in. The breakfasts were great as was there lounge area with a fire, games, books etc. The entire staff was so friendly, helpful and bright and we so enjoyed our stay. I especially loved all the little touches in the rooms, the locally .made beautiful moose candle, the quilted moose framed, the moose lantern Will definitely return, great experience. Such a charming place and well located in Whitefish.

Yelp
Loved this place! My mom and I came down from Canada to celebrate her birthday and had a fabulous time. The room was beautiful and the décor was stunning. We loved the 'moose' theme in all of the rooms and the breakfast was fantastic! The first morning we had French toast with maple syrup and fresh fruit salad and the second day was a very tasty quiche. In the evening they offer 2 complimentary glasses of wine or beer (which we took them up on both nights!) which is a really nice added feature. It's a little way out of town which was only an issue because it was raining when we were there and cabs were hard to come by at the end of the night. Will definitely stay again!

Yelp
The lodge is cute. The management is rude and arrogant! Kent treats his guests as if they are privileged to book a room. We booked last minute due to a family funeral. Due to unexpected nature of trip and last minute expense, we asked for rate reduction by skipping cost of breakfast. Next day when we were in air traveling, we received notice second night double booked, no room for us. Arrived late and had to leave early next morning for funeral so no time to speak with staff. Called Kent late afternoon to help us find alternative room since they screwed up our reservation. Kent's reply was "your husband is cheap and whittled me down and you're not willing to pay for a nice room". Nobody should EVER treat a paying guest this way, especially when their error caused us not to have a place to stay.

Yelp
This is a hidden moose treasure. The hosts are sooo welcoming. The Montana style architecture is grand and very nicely decorated. The breakfast is amazing!!! The evening wine is very enjoyable as you sit out back, looking at the forest, with a trickle of the waterfall and the hot tub up the hill. Rooms are cozy and quiet. Have been coming here for years and will continue to make this the only place we stay in the Flathead valley

Yelp
Beautiful lodge on a beautiful piece of property. It's only 2 miles from downtown but feels like it's in a private wooded area. It has a rustic and laid back Montana vibe. The homemade breakfasts were good, but not what I would expect from a b&b. Our room (the Bear's Den) was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was even better.

Yelp
Great place to stay. Breakfast is awesome and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the park. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
