I HAVE to give Hidden Valley Campround a three star review with qualifiers. I cannot give them a 5 for a couple of reasons. 1st if I give a five star review that means I am totally pleased. I am not. I would have LOVED to hang out outside, but I had to ask to have the area just on front of my rv be mowed. It got mowed once in well over the month I stayed there. I even offered to mow myself. I have a Yorkie that had a difficult time going out to do his business because the grass was too long. 2nd other than fantastic wifi (in a wifi deadzone) you must be self sufficient. No bath house, no laundry, no other amenities. Now...the price was right, Jennifer made sure she was fair when billing us. We were there to work and not glamp, business, not vacation. It suited OUR needs (except it not being pleasant to be outdoors) oh and when they did mow the one time I literally swept the yard because it was like walking through a hayfields. Would I stay there again or recommend it to others? Absolutely! But I would make sure they knew the conditions.

It's not your traditional campground. Just 2 sites and a cabin. One site was a permanent resident, but it is super quiet and private. The Guyandotte River is right in front, then the campsite, a private road, then a Railroad track and then the roadway. Easy to travel to Twin Falls State Park nearby. Great for anyone looking to stay near the Hatfield and McCoy ATV/side by side trail. We loved the Full hook up. WiFi was also great. Dumpster was nearby. Jennifer Thomson, the owner, was quick to respond and friendly. We stayed 3 days and really enjoyed the coal mine history in the area and the railroad history too. We were blessed to see an albino deer one morning right at our site. We came here because the reviews for Twin Falls campground said it was dangerous driving to the campground with the switch back roads. It also said that the campsites were unlevel. Hidden valley campground was easy to get to, conveniently located and very level. Turned out to be quite a blessing.

My husband and I spent two nights at Hidden Valley Campground. We had an amazing time. The self check-in was easy. The cabin has a great view along the river. The other side of the road is railroad tracks. Although, we did not see or hear any trains while we were there. Inside the cabin was very clean and welcoming. It had the basic necessities you need for a kitchen and bathroom. The host, Jennifer, left us a nice gift for our 5 year anniversary. Shortly after we arrived, Jennifer brought the SxS we reserved with the cabin and it included helmets, goggles, and gloves. We drove the SxS up to the local store for permits and a trail map of the Hatfield & McCoy trails. We ended up dropping off the SxS at night because we were planning to leave early in the morning. Jennifer and her family met us outside and made us feel like family! They were celebrating a birthday and even gave us birthday cake! Overall, I would highly recommend Hidden Valley Campground.

We stayed in the cabin. I would definitely stay here again. It is conveniently located near town and it is on the river. The cabin is well maintained and beautiful inside. The wi-fi was good. It is located right next to train tracks and I heard one train during the night. Also, the pull out couch is a little uncomfortable with the typical support bar in the middle. Would be more comfortable with a cushioned mattress pad. Overall it is a very nice place.

The lady that helped me with booking was extremely kind and helpful, very hospitable! Quiet little spot right on the river, located just outside of town. 2 Full hookup RV spots and the cutest little cabin!

Stayed here for four nights. Very nice cabin, owner was super friendly. Very convenient to gas and groceries and family dollar. Will stay again when riding hmt system in this area. Plus they have a camera for added security. The owner was super appreciative for the business and that means alot in todays times.

Great place to stay. Overall a great experience. Would come back to in the near future. Pet friendly, a creek in the back to fish a little and a BBQ grill picnic table for enjoying a weekend outside. Great landlords maintain their place in good shape.
