"Mountain Retreat Over 7,000 acres of adventure await visitors to Hidden Valley Inn and Reserve. This intimate luxury resort is situated in a guest-exclusive reserve in the Mountain Pine Ridge area of the Cayo District. The boutique property features 10 Estate Rooms and two Estate Suites. It’s one of the only properties where you are likely to find fireplaces, and with good reason – it does get rather chilly in the Mountain Pine Ridge area and the real wood-burning fireplaces are not only romantic, but provide an excellent source of heat on those chilly nights. The Lodge is the estate house where guests can dine in the restaurant, relax in the common areas, or visit the library lounge. The lodge was originally designed as a family vacation home and the personal touches show. It’s an ideal spot to spend the late afternoon having a cocktail, catching up on emails, or reading a good book. Hidden Valley’s plantation-style décor and the more rustic stone hearths in the Lodge provide a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. Be sure to check out the property’s jungle platforms and resting areas. These are great spots for yoga and meditation and even feature Sanskrit names. Whether you do yoga or not, these platforms are prime spots for stopping and relaxing along the water’s edge – a few even offer waterfall views. And speaking of waterfalls, do not miss taking a hike to Butterfly Falls as it’s one of the most picturesque spots in Belize and it’s reserved for guests of Hidden Valley Inn!"

We had the most wonderful time at the Hidden Valley wilderness Lodge in Belize. The staff was wonderful, and the trails throughout the property were outstanding. We had a terrific time at a cooking class provided by Jeshua. The food and drinks were outstanding! All the waiters were wonderful, and the front desk staff coordinated our hikes and activities seamlessly! The beds were soft and the evenings were quiet and restful. The hot tub was fabulous and the pool was a nice cool temperature. I highly recommend this beautiful resort to all my family and friends.

This resort is very special in that it’s on its own private acres of hiking trails and amazing waterfalls. The staff and service was excellent and our room had floor to ceiling windows and a private screened-in patio that overlooked the forest (villa 2). I would definitely go back to spend time away from technology (no TVs) and relax. We took an excellent trip to Tikal that the lodge set up for us through Lion tours. 2 brothers who are deeply immersed in the knowledge of the area and certified for swift water rescue (ex for the ATM tour). The only downsides of the lodge are how far it is from anything if you wanted to set up your own excursions, and the limited food selections/high cost to eat there. That said, the food was excellent (famous chef). A suggestion to the lodge is to offer the tacos/empanadas/tostadas from your lunch menu for dinner, even if it’s as an appetizer. Also to offer to-go breakfast sandwiches and burritos in the morning (a staple for us in the US). Regardless, we appreciate our time there (a special thank you to Kenroy and Kevin for making us feel like family!) and would highly recommend this very unique and special resort. Oh one more thing is we almost took more tours off the property until we realized the amazing onsite property tours they offered that aren’t available to the public. So we instead cancelled our offsite tours and took their private tour to butterfly falls and they set up lunch for us at secret falls. It was an experience I’ll never forget!

First of all… the food is 11/10; they mean it when they say no barcode! Everything tasted fresh (and refreshing). I think I tasted coffee for the first time there it was so good! The rooms are super cozy, super clean, and I love their attention to detail in all their services. Highly recommend their trails as well. All around excellent resort 👌🏼I can’t recommend them enough!

IF YOU'RE ON THE FENCE ABOUT CHOOSING HIDDEN VALLEY, PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW TO THE END||This was our first time in Belize and we were confounded because we didn't really know which tours or which resort to stay at because there's so many options. I reached out to so many and the absolute best customer service by far was hidden valley resort. Customer service really matters to my mom and so this was the one we chose. Believe it or not, we had drove into 3 other resorts to get information about them, and, albeit pretty, none of them really captured our heart. ||We are a family of 4 that stayed for 5 nights, 4 days. When we got there, everybody at the resort was amazing and treated all of us like kings and queens, and we did our best to give them the same respect; They certainly earned it. They took us seriously. They understood what we were trying to accomplish during our stay and were very accommodating. |||First, Big big big big ups to Tianna, who made me most comfortable with even moving forward with this choice, who made any and all last minute accommodations that were needed for my family, and communicated the entire way, so on point, so professional, so helpful | |Secondly, big ups to Sevilla, who made our dining experience, (And food is very important to us) so fantastic, just catered to our every need any time we entered into the resort hub. we built the most relationship with Sevilla and we will remember her forever! Sevilla, Thank you for your heart and for being YOU!||for Brandon, big big ups to Brandon, who took care of every step to make sure we were Comfortable, had everything we needed any time we turned left or right, very kind, very compassionate, very patient, and we def needed that patience. When it's your First time in a different country you don't really know your left from right and so you have to make adjustments and pivot as needed, and we was with us for the whole stay. ||Big ups to the cooks and chefs who made the most absolute superb dishes for us, omg, amazing. One night, they even stayed later to cook for us even though we came in a little bit late. Each breakfast, each lunch, and each dinner were superb. 10/10, definitely infused with mayan and Belizean culture, with such elegance, and warmth; the spices, the aromas, the food hugs your mouth- it really does. I know its not normal to do so, but it was all so good we went so far as to tip each cook because of how great everything was. ||Big ups to Kenny (1) 😂 who served us, laughed with us, and overall took great care of us. Chalupa!!!! Always the biggest, most genuine smile on his face!||Big ups to Kenny (2) 😂 who allowed me to have an entire business meeting in the bar for hours, and still fed my family and made sure they were taken care of, even though I wasn't readily available. He was very kind, very funny, and always had us laughing, ||Big ups to Missael who had a fatherlike look that covered over us and felt like protection, making sure we were good, always with genuine kindness ||Big ups to Vial and Richard who shuttled us back and forth, helped us with our bags, helped us with our troubles getting back to comfort and luxury and safety from mosquitos (out of resort our car broke down, out of town at midnight lol), ||Also big ups to Blue who made sure we got in and out of the resort safely each time, checking on us and always laughing with me about my attempts to learn creole :) ||Last thing: My only critique is that I honestly believe a better photographer, and/or videographer should be hired because the images were really nice, but did not capture the total luxury and elegance that hidden valley holds. We were taken aback by how beautiful everything was, the rooms themselves, the gardens and agriculture, the mountains at that elevation, the pools, jacuzzis, the bars, the dining experiences, everything was |breathtaking and gorgeous and the pictures simply don't capture it. We were shocked because it was maybe 10x better than what the pictures revealed. ||We didn't get to do any tours, but for all the staff here at this resort, as long as everybody i mentioned above gets a raise, we will be back ! 🙏🏼||To all the incredible staff at Hidden Valley — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our stay unforgettable. Your kindness, care, and attention to every detail made us feel so welcomed and valued. We deeply appreciate each and every one of you for going above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. You've left a lasting impression, and we can't wait to return (IF you each get a raise) 😅

We loved our stay at Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge, the perfect location to experience the unique, ethereal tropical pine forest of Mountain Pine Ridge. It was a great base to go birding with our guide Marvin with whom we even saw the endangered orange-breasted falcon! We enjoyed discovering nearby San Antonio village and an artisanal coffee farm. The inventive and delicious food at the Lodge's two restaurants was a special delight every day, including Chef Sean's Slate, an awesome culinary destination. And being dedicated naturalists, we appreciated the Lodge's sustainable business model and the adjoining wilderness reserve. We highly recommend this eco-resort!

We just got back from our honeymoon in Belize and I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff was incredible, Vian our tour guide was amazing, even when our tour was cancelled due to rain he was quick to think of something else for us to do which turned out to be amazing! The rooms were incredible, the most comfortable beds, the fireplace was perfect for the rainy nights we had. If you are someone who loves to hike, this is the place to be. With miles of hikes, countless waterfalls and stunning views you could spend weeks here and still not see it all. The food was on another level, so fresh and delicious and our waitress Savila was a Gem, such an amazing soul! If your looking for a quiet place to explore Belize this is the place! We will be back in the future!

This place is an absolute gem. It's remote and a bit challenging to get to if it's raining / just rained but everything from the location to the staff to the food is excellent. For those that love the outdoors this place is paradise; hundreds of hiking trails with distinct sights and a smorgasbord of pools, hills, overlooks, and wildlife. The food is authentic Belizean / Mayan / Creole and regardless of circumstance each dish is prepared with love. From top to bottom the staff is welcoming and attentive, each doing their best to help you enjoy your stay. I've been to 20+ countries and a countless amount of hotels / resorts / accomodations but this place will always stand amongst my favorites.
