Hideaways at Palm Bay

I absolutely loved my stay! The room was so cute and comfortable and just steps to the beach. The beach is nice but the walk to jolly holly beach is only 5 mins away and you have your own private , perfect beach. There were times we felt we were the only guests. The paddleboards and kayaks were perfect for the kids. The restaurant didnt have many of the food items but I guess its because of shipping issues. I also didnt like how they add 15% gratuity yet only 2% goes to the waitstaff. The food was pretty good and we didnt feel the need to really hunt for other food places. The fish fry is 5 mins away and was also very good! This resort is only 15 mins away from the airport which was great. Check in wasnt until 4 but they had our room ready when we arrived around 1 which usually never happens, with kids that was very helpful. I would stay here again!

Enjoyed Hideaways for first week of Feb. Unfortunately weather was quite cool, but we still had a very nice time. Studio rooms were very good size and kitchenette was ideal. The beach was beautiful! The resort was not at all crowded. The food at Splash was all excellent! The staff were the best! Rita, Chenille, Cassidy, Patrick, and Marvin...plus many more! Marvelous Marvin in particular went above and beyond to help out our group of 5 at every opportunity he had available! Very thankful to all the staff! I would recommend that their coffee at Splash get started earlier in the morning so available for 8 am opening. 😎

If you are looking for a laid back island holiday than this is the place. The beaches were amazing and the people wonderful. Felt safe on the whole island!|Staying at the Hideaways was perfect (we are done with large all inclusive resorts) and the Hideaways had an onsite restaurant/bar where the food and drinks were great. This has a beautiful beach area and a nice small pool. One of the nicest beaches on the island is Jolly Harbour and you can walk to it in less than 10 minutes along the beach from Hideaways. The resort is very laid back and a little rustic in a great way. (it is not a 5 star luxury resort but it is perfect as far as we are concerned)|Staff was excellent - thanks to Reta, Cindy, Marvin and Patrick! - sorry of I forgot anyone. There are a couple of restaurants and fish fry in walking distance PLUS the resort offers a shuttle to Georgetown - so you can go to other shopping & restaurants if you wish. This is not an all inclusive so we picked up a few groceries and mix in town and our room had a fridge and kitchenette for snacks etc.|We did go ATVing to see more of the island - great fun, took a water taxi to sip & chill and did a boat tour with Roberts where we swam into the grotto (from James Bond Thunderball), swam with sharks, pigs (not together!) and a number of other spots.|We will return. Hideaways was a great resort and location and we would most likely choose to go back to the same place.

Had a wonderful experience at the Hideaways Palm Bay. Cindy is an incredible concierge. So helpful booking our stay and our boat rental! Patrick and Gabrielle at the restaurant and bar, SPLASH were always attentive and friendly serving great food and drinks. FREE shuttle to downtown to get groceries or visit the straw market. Marvin was always a great driver and very entertaining! I love the location I love this resort! I love Exuma! I love the people most! I will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location and view. Room very nice and staff was so so friendly. Was our anniversary and they provided a very nice welcome for us. Beautiful water and beach just steps from the front door. Location close to Georgetown and they have a shuttle. Fish Fry "food court" within walking distance for authentic Bahamian food. Also cool on-site bar/restaurant. Friendly cats were a plus. Planning on coming back next summer. If there was a complaint it would be the pricing - this is more of an industry complaint rather than just this property. After everything said and done the cost was fair, but just like many others in today's hospitality industry to get to the real price you have to wade through the fees and add ons. Again, on net I think the cost was fair, just was a lot different than where things started. That said, don't let this dissuade you from staying at this beautiful property.

We are 1st timers to Exuma and many suggested we stay at Hideaways and they were not wrong. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and well maintained property; and reliable restaurant (Splash Beach Bar). We saw people around but it never felt busy or crowded and we discovered on the day we checked out they were fully occupied; so that was nice to know for a future visit. And right on the beach we saw sea turtles and stingrays so that was a bonus as well. Try Hideaways for your 1st (or next) visit to Exuma, you won’t be disappointed!

Everything was wonderful for our trip. We had the best stay in Unit 28 right on the bay. The cottage was clean and comfy. Beautiful views of the bay and the sunrise and sunset believe it or not. The sunset reflects back onto the east and the views are just incredible all day. Ms Arnett was so helpful and felt like family. Marvin was so awesome. He helped us with all our questions and drove us through the offered shuttle. He is the best!!!!

Otel was great. We had 2 air conditioner. They have lots of stuff for cooking in the kitchen. There were coffee machine, little fridge, microwave. Only thing is they didn’t have hair dryer. They had pool in the area but you dont go to the pool when you have beautiful ocean in front of you.
