Cozy dive bar with dj duo that was quite enjoyable. Dancing drinking and pretty scenester girls. What more could you ask for?

if you go here, have all personal affects strapped securely to your person at all times. there are people prowling this place waiting for you to leave anything unattended for even a moment so they can steal it from right under your nose. had a bag containing my phone, wallet, ID & house/car keys snatched on a relatively dead night - 20 people max in the club. other than having the next week of my life be a massive headache, its a decent dive bar. they book cool acts, have nice deals on drinks and a few arcade games in the back. when its popping its a lot of fun! but probably going to boycott the east side since i cant seem to go without having my car broken into or items stolen. not worth it in my mind until the crime in the area cools down. if you do go, make sure you park in a well lit area & have two clubs on your car!

Good pinball, expensive drinks. Looks like a dive, but a little to hip for my tastes. Update. Place got better, and some cheap drink options. Had a fun dance night there and good times were abound.

This is a cozy little establishment with an ecclectic blend of people. There is a small stage that various local music acts will use. The drinks are very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and personable. There are a few pinball machines in the back. Overall had a very fun time and definitely plan on coming back

For the most part, I really like this place. They have diverse events that serve many kinds of populations within the Riverwest neighborhood. The atmosphere is cozy, albeit a bit small. Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. It's a neighborhood staple, IMO.

Music is alwayssss wayyy too loud to even hear somebody 2 inches away from you- and we walk out with our ears hurting. This place smells so so bad and always feels grimey. The back room has arcade/pinball but you're basically unable to play because there's so much stuff back there you can't move around.

This was a different experience for me it was new. I like the live band on Wednesdays they were on spot with music. I will definitely visit this place again. I just can't have the dark and stormy LOL. The drinks are pretty reasonable and the bartender was really awesome

Soak yourself into the glow of LED lighting cast by four beautiful Pinball machines at the High Dive. Reasonably priced drafts and cocktails are offered up to drive your tongue off the cliff of extreme flavor.

A classic Milwaukee dive bar. It's super small but the walls are all rock and roll. Drink prices are cheap. We saw a band there but unfortunately they were pretty terrible.

One of my favorite bars in Riverwest. High Dive, as the name might suggest, is a no-frills establishment with friendly bartenders and cheap drinks ($2 PBR tall boys!) Longtime RW bartender Jason runs the joint, and he clearly knows what he's doing. There's occasionally free food (specifically during Packer games!), which is a solid incentive. The live music they host is top notch, and it gets packed very quickly. If you're checking out a show, get there early! Pro Tip: before heading over to Mad Planet for an evening of dancing, hit up High Dive and pre-game with the super cheap PBRs.

Honestly, I want to like this place because it is literally down the street from my house. However, every time I've gone by there two things happen, either it smells horribly of pee or I get some pretentious asshole treating me like I don't belong there because I don't have a septum piercing. I get it, Riverwest is a "hip" area of town, but for most of the residents who are families or non-hip mid 30's people, it'd be nice not to get an attitude when we want to enjoy a drink at a local bar. I won't be going here again.

I absolutely love High Dive. Great prices for drinks, excellent atmosphere, great selection of pinball and arcade games in the back, and some of the best shows in MKE. Also, excellent bartenders

We went to High Dive during the Riverwest 24. Because it was near a check point and they had a band playing it was packed inside and out. Loved the music and they had pizza at the bar for everyone(?). I had been wondering what the RW24 bikers eat during the race. The one problem is it is a tight space for a band and it was HOT inside because of all the sweaty bodies. I love the location so I'll be back to check out what High Dive looks like on a quieter night.

I followed Jason McBrady the owner here from Bremen cafe where he used to work. The high beams of Jason's shit eating big headed Irish bastard smile can make your day. He hires nice professionals to work for him. I like dancing here on Saturday nights some times. If I get out of work early its a nice spot to drink one or two meditative drinks while playing pinball in the back room. It is a slightly nerdy dive bar. The men's bathroom is disgusting and looks like a scene from the first five minutes of a Law and Order Special Victims Unit episode. A very eclectic revolving door of bands play here. The stage is tiny and bad and the sonic qualities of the room are bad. I really don't like live music but do enjoy the performance art aspects of the bands Jason gets to play.

Standard dive bar, nothing much to say either way about it, to be perfectly honest I was pretty drunk when I was here, they had a decent beer selection I remember, though I couldn't tell you what I ordered :p

I loved this place when it was River Horse many moons ago. It was my spot when I lived in the neighborhood. No frills, dark, and cheap. High Dive does a good job carrying on that legacy.

I like this bar but it has a strong funk. BO? Trash? Idk. Just be prepared for that, otherwise it's fun.

Decently priced alcohol and a fun and upbeat club. I enjoyed coming here on a Saturday night, although the DJ's were a bit odd at first, they knew how to get everyone on the dance floor. Seems like there are a lot of regulars and everyone seems to have a great time. We were here for a Birthday party and I know we had fun and were dancing for several hours. It's small but big enough to dance and have a few friends out.

Nice little corner/dive bar that opened up a month or two ago. Specials are good, $2 pbr tall boys, double tall mixers for $5.00. I don't go out to much in RW, but I could see myself hanging out at this place a decent amount. *they have bumper pool table in the back room.
