High Hopes Retreat Centre

At High Hopes I found the gifts of time, ease, relaxation, beauty and nourishment - a sense of coming home to myself. Ange, Sharon, Hannah and the whole team welcome you into their magical space which I can only describe as a home designed for healing. You will find stillness there, and perhaps (re)discover parts of yourself that have been missing or hiding. The food is made with love, the care is warm and healing, the conversations expansive and intelligent, the rooms comfortable and the garden a true escape. This is a place for reconnection worth visiting many, many times.

This retreat is simply amazing to visit on the journey of life. Highly recommended. My time there was so special and I had the lily suite for the duration of my stay. Ange, Sharon and Hanah will take care of your every need. The town is beautiful and so are the surroundings. The vegetarian menu will surprise you with worldly flavour and delight.

My time spent at High Hopes changed my life. I went with no expectations, just a last ditch effort to find my way back into this world and live. Ange and Sharon shared so much love, care and knowledge with me, in the most perfect manner & space. The experience totally shifted my thoughts into caring for myself once again, and understanding the reasons why I hadn't for so long. It is quite extraordinary that this occurred in such a short time period and I am most grateful to have returned to my authentic self and am building my wonderful life back. Beautiful, caring and knowledgeable ladies at the most beautiful venue and wonderful team. My gratuity abounds.

Staying at High Hopes was a life-changing experience. My mind, soul and body was nourished and nurtured by Ange, Sharon and the many practioners who helped me reconnect with myself. The property itself is the perfect place in which to unwind and breathe properly again - there are so many quiet nooks to soak up the sun and relax in nature; I felt like I was in The Secret Garden.

Massage was very nice but it’s only 45 minutes (despite being advertise for an hour). When paying R860, one would expect it to last a full hour. Did mention it to the massage therapist, who said we needed time to drink a glass of water. Again, nice massage, but poor value for money if you’re losing 25% of allocated massage time..

Fabulous experience just what I needed. Learnt a lot. Ange and her team do a great job of making you welcome. Very tasty healthy food and a loverly peaceful setting.

Few comfortable rooms immerse in a green oasis. Nothing fancy but good value. Owners are vegetarians and their breakfast is excellent. My wife swears about the quality of their own brand of creams.
