Neighborhoods in Toronto

"High Park is a quiet, residential neighborhood about a 30-minute subway ride away from the downtown core of Toronto. The neighborhood is appropriately named after Toronto’s largest greenspace — a park of 400 acres full of forest, trails, and spots to relax. In April and May, visit to see the many cherry blossoms. During the summer months, settle into the grass alongside one of the park’s ponds for a picnic with the locals." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Nature and Parks in Toronto

"Located further west, High Park is Toronto’s largest green space. It spans over 161 hectares, one-third of which remains natural forest. You can explore that forest on one of the many hiking trails, or enjoy a waterfront stroll along Grenadier Pond. The park also has an off-leash dog park, a really cool wooden playground, and even a zoo. Springtime is a particularly beautiful time to visit, when you’ll be able to catch sight of the park’s cherry blossoms in bloom." - MATADOR_NETWORK

We love High Park for ball games! Our pup adores coming & it's so much fun. There's a lot of room for chairs and bleachers too. It's dirt - no turf. Totally fine with us. Room on the side of the 4 fields to warm up and room outside the fence.

High Park is another one of the great parks here in Derby. In it's season's you'll find it full of soccer teams or softball games but there's also a great walking path throughout the park as well as picnic areas and two amazing playgrounds. You'll find an open air pavilion, a gazebo close to the water, and don't forget to bring your fishing pole to catch a fish or two. Just a warning, the geese love it too, so watch your step....

Very big park in Derby, with lots of spaces too walk and a high extensión of grass. Recommended to relax in the dimensions; nice flow of water through, however not many trees to go through, so possibility to be under the trees in a sunny day is reduced

This park is great for families! The playground on the north side of the park is our favorite. There is a shaded Pavilion with clean bathrooms. The playground is great for toddlers all the way through upper Elementary. They have wonderful sidewalks for biking or walking. Open fields for playing soccer with the family or catch. The only downfall is that the playground does not have any shade, only the Pavilion next to it.

Wish the park had more parking by the baseball and softball fields, but other than that, it was alright

Beautiful park with paved walking trails, play areas, pond and fountains and shelters. A softball complex and sports fields. Lovely place to birdwatch or see a softball or soccer match.
