⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Amazing Experience for the Whole Family! High Rock Adventures was an absolute gem from start to finish! First off, the parking lot was spacious and easy to find—always a great start to any adventure. We chose the rappelling-only option and couldn’t have been happier. From the initial safety class to our three trips down the cliff and even picking up some souvenirs afterward, we spent about 4.5 hours total—and loved every minute of it. The guides were fantastic—funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and very clearly passionate about what they do. It was also awesome to see so many veterans on staff. As a veteran myself, that hit close to home in the best way possible. We even got to meet the owner, who was super friendly and clearly cares deeply about the quality and safety of the experience. I’ve been rappelling many times before, and I have to say—this was one of the most safety-focused operations I’ve ever seen. No free-falls here. They use a double friction system (what I’d call a double friction bite), which gives an added layer of control and peace of mind. Even if your brake hand slips, you're not going anywhere. Best of all, this was the perfect adventure for my whole family. My 9- and 13-year-old daughters had a blast and handled the experience like champs, thanks in large part to the encouragement and professionalism of the staff. My wife absolutely loved it too. Whether you're new to rappelling or a seasoned pro, this is an adventure you’ll remember. Can’t recommend it highly enough—book it!

Kayce, our guide, couldn't have been better. Her plant knowledge, humor, and personality made the experience more than we expected. You can tell when someone loves what they do and it made us love the experience all the more. It was my kids and husband's first time rock climbing and they can't wait to do it again. She was so supportive and calm, having them lean back when nervous to trust they couldn't fall. Everyone made it to the top, even when it wasn't pretty (I'm still laughing). Thanks for an amazing day!

We booked a last minute rock climbing tour before we left our vacation and we're so grateful we did. Jason was super knowledgeable, helpful, fun and funny! Overall we'll definitely be making the 4 hour trip out there again!

What an amazing time!!!! Jason was our guide and he was fantastic! So knowledgeable and down to earth literally. That would probably be one of his jokes. He was hilarious yet so informative about every tree and plant that we came in contact with. The rock challenge was amazing. I was a little worried that I might have to opt out of a few of them, but through his encouragement and tips, We all made it through each one and felt so good about ourselves at the end like we had really accomplished something. I love this place. I don’t make you feel like you’re just a tourist they make you feel like you are the only one that they are sharing their adventure with. What a great trip. What a great time thank you.

Google
The entire experience was amazing! A big thanks to Martin who is not only a great climbing instructor , but is also quite knowledgeable when it comes to the local history and plants along the trails. This experience was most definitely the highlight of my trip to Hocking Hills/Rockbridge!

Google
Being scared of heights I thought why not go rappelling!!! They literally talk you through it and make it such a great time! Best adventure in Hocking Hills…. Can’t wait to come back again and experience some of the other activities they offer and of course rappell again!

Google
High Rock Adventures was such a cool place. My brother and I had a lot of fun rappelling and rock climbing. We had no experience, but our guides Jason, Casey and Jay were so great about talking us through and helping us. We enjoyed hanging out and visiting with them too. You could tell they loved their jobs and we loved being there to experience the adventure. It’s so worth it! If you are short on time and have to choose between rock climbing and rappelling then it’d be a tough choice. We are glad we did both. We loved the challenge of climbing and the feeling of accomplishment from reaching the top, and we also enjoyed the excitement of rappelling down the side of a cliff. Both experiences have given us amazing memories for life!

Yelp
This is a breathtakingly incredible experience. It wasn't on our bucket list; we stumbled onto it with an old dear friend in the area. Seems she always wanted to go but never had anyone to take her. Who says "Three's a crowd"? Fiddlesticks. We had a blast! Old people in their 60's/70's can still climb rocks and rappel down a cliff. Remember, it was a first for these old ladies and they did marvelous. Kayce and Jason were the best. A challenging day for those two guides but it really mattered and we all thrived! They were pretty cool to just chill and exchange stories with. If I were fifty years younger, I would love doing their job. They obviously did. Part of the adventure was also learning about different aspects of nature, courtesy of Jason, a very knowledgeable guide. I know a lot but now I know more. 04/25

Yelp
THIS WAS AWESOME!!!! The Guide was super funny and we did the eco tour and we even got to do some of the rock climbing. He told us about edible plants and the history of the property. There was a bunch of funny stories and a really cool gift shop with crystals and obelisks and other things. I would give it 6 stars if I could!!

C R.

Yelp
Our guide for the Eco tour was Casey and it was fantastic! The tour was about 2 hours and looped around the property allowing you to branch off and explore (if you're willing) the different rocks where some of the other rappelling/rock climbing tours go. The Eco tour lets you see everything and I couldn't recommend it enough if you're wanting to get outdoors and learn something new. We sampled edible plants, saw some old historical carvings into the rocks and were guided off the trail to see unique blooms I've never even heard of. I really feel like I walked away from the tour with a new set of eyes and I can't wait to use some of the things we learned. We're already talking about coming back and trying some of the other tours and experiences offered here, there's so many different options for anyone! P.S make sure to take lots of photos, there's so many neat spots and crawl spaces!

Yelp
High Rock Adventures is amazing. We were booked for an ecotour of the private grounds, and it was so fun and informative. The guides were super knowledgeable about the native plants on the grounds and explained why they were special and beneficial to the area, and even pointed out some of the edible plants and let us taste them. They will tailor their tours according to your group and interests. We were with our children, and our hike went at a slow pace and had us doing hands-on adventures like shimmying between rocks, climbing up and down hills and listening to the animal sounds around us. We didn't do any rock climbing, but we passed a group who was, so they do offer rock climbing here. This is a great way to experience the beautiful Hocking Hills area! My family and I will be back.

Yelp
They not only take you on 3 fantastic rappels, they give you some great insight into the surrounding area and plant life. Safe, and exhilarating experience that we will do time and time again!!!

Yelp
We did the rappelling tour and it was amazing! It went from an add-on to the highlight of our trip. Our tour guides were so nice and patient. Our daughter froze at the start of the second rappel, and she was talked through it and at the bottom she said it was amazing and was eager to try the third. Side hint, don't wear pants a similar color as your skin. Photos look very bad.

Yelp
Adventurousness - 6/5 (SCALE BREAK ALERT!) Happiness - 4/5 It's tough to maintain a perfect five on Yelp, and this reviewer isn't going to break it. And not because I'm opposed to being a naysayer (I'm definitely not), but because High Rock earned it's five. My group of four did the all-day climbing and rappelling tour. We all came away happy. Our group's experience levels varied greatly - from one person who'd never done any climbing or rappelling to one who goes to an indoor climbing gym weekly. The activities satisfied all of us, with every member making it to the top of at least one formation. And even the seasoned climbers got a chance to try climbing challenges they'd never before encountered at their indoor gyms. Yes, you'll come away with scrapes and bruises, but it'll be worth it. And rappelling is always exciting. We got to rappel down cliff walls and in open space, and I even was allowed to flip upside down to "Spider-Man kiss" my wife. The one critique I have is solely on the rappelling. You only get three rappels and I feel like there was time for one more. Given the price (and the fact that the first rappel is really short and easy), I'd like to have a bit more bang for my buck. Especially since each subsequent rappel was more enjoyable than the last as you get used to the sensation. The guides deserve special mention as they were really awesome. They had everything ready to go for a smooth transition to new climbing/rappelling sites and were INCREDIBLY positive and supportive. At no point did anyone seem in danger and they gently coaxed even people with nerves into trying their hardest. They were very friendly and made sure we had a great experience!

Yelp
My husband and I went on one of the newest walks, nature therapy, this week while on vacation. It was so wonderful. Steve and Becky guided us through some of the most beautiful parts of the forrest, allowing us to have time to listen and observe silently and also pointing out trees, flowers and other sites. If you're looking for a relaxing dive into nature, this is the activity for you. Will definitely return next time we're in the area

Yelp
Great Eco and medicinal edibles tour. Friendly staff definitely worth your time. Learn what we as humans have forgotten about nature.

Yelp
I cannot say enough AMAZING things about High Rock Adventures and the tour we went on. We were in Hocking Hills for a romantic getaway, one that was meant to help us destress from our chaotic lives. Instead of the more adventure oriented tours that they offer (don't worry, we will try those another time!), we opted for the Forest Bathing Tour-- where we took a slow meander through the property and became one with nature. I don't want to divulge too many of the secrets of the tour, because I truly believe that part of the experience is the mystery and magic that the forest holds. This tour was not strenuous, not a bit stressful, and we were the only people around! (While complete solidarity is not guaranteed, the actual property is private and I'm fairly certain that it is much less crowded than the state park areas! This tour was exactly what I had hoped for when I booked it, and more. Our guide, Kayce, was so sweet and kind, and her energy was powerful and contagious. Thank you so much!

Yelp
I own a travel business called Explorer Chick, and we partner with High Rock Adventures all the time for our group of women. The rock climbing and rappeling have always been a huge hit. We always get great feedback from our clients. This time I brought my 6 y/o niece, 9 y/o nephew, and sister-in-law. We did the Rock Challenge. It was the perfect amount of challenge for the kids. They loved it. They got to scramble, go through caves and slot canyons, let their imaginations run wild. After about 3 hours of fun, they both slept on the car ride home! My nephew and I also did the Canyon Rappel. We both loved it. It was his first time, and he handled it like a champ! Steve, Martin, Becky, and everyone was really patient with the kids. Very knowledgeable about the plants on their property. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Our group started the short hike to the first rappelling station and was instructed about the many uses for the plants and trees along the path. Very informative! From the first rappel to the last, the guides did an incredible job of assuring my safety, giving instructions and encouragement. It was such a rush free rappelling down the last cliff. I cant wait to go another one of you tours. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Yelp
Took my 10 yr old daughter for our first time rock climbing. Duran and Cindy created a rock climbing monster. We had so much fun with Duran and Cindy my daughter won't stop talking about it. Duran taught us about edible plants and they really treated us like friends vs customers. Being a mom I worried about my daughter on the rock face but those fears were quickly laid to rest by their expertise and quality gear. I can't wait to go back myself and my daughter has found a new passion that will be with her for life.

Yelp
My husband and I went repelling for the first time and absolutely loved it. We felt very safe and the guides were fantastic. It was also great to learn about the different plants on the short hike. Thank you!

Yelp
We went on the high rock challenge and beginner repelling tour in early November. It was so much fun! We would definitely recommend them. Steve was very knowledgeable and relaxed, which helped us calm any fears we had. All tours are on their own private property which means you aren't competing for space or time with other companies.

Yelp
Absolutely unbelievable! At 55 with no experience it was just on the bucket list, one that Steve from High Rock made possible! 5 girls 15 to 55 climbed 3 mountain face rocks and along the hike of that beautiful mountain Steve taught us about the trees & plants & even offered up some to taste to keep our thirst down while climbing. Kent was our 1st guide on the 1st rock & he took the time to teach us valuable lessons on rock climbing & Steve was our guide on the other 2 rocks and what I can say is it's exhilarating. You Guys Rock!!

Yelp
I would recommend this adventure to anyone that loves the outdoors and wants to try something new. The tour guides were wonderful! My whole family had the best time. I took my two teenage boys and teenage daughter. The guides were very careful and we never felt unsafe. I hope they keep getting more business and this was the best adventure of our whole vacation in Hocking Hills.

R. Emilie G.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Very kind, patient, knowledgeable guides take you through trails, over ridges, and rappelling over cliffs. Great activity for groups or families!

D. F.

Yelp
I'm a little afraid of heights, so I wasn't even going to do the rappelling; I was planning to just hike along with the group and watch my grandkids rappel down the cliffs. However, I decided at the last minute to try it, and I'm so glad I did! It was really fun, and the instructors were great! I'll probably be back to do the advanced rappelling.

Samantha C.

Yelp
This place is the best!! The guides are very knowledgable and engaging with their tours. We did repelling and it was great!
