The ambiance when you walk in to this little oasis is incredible, like you just washed up on a Caribbean island. There were so many choices of Tiki inspired cocktails, each with gorgeous presentations and so well made with quality ingredients. Slight wait is well worth it. Recommended.

Great ambience and customer service. We ordered a mango spicy one and a pinacolada kind drink. We loved the spicy one, pinacolada kind was too sweet.

Definitely a place to check out on Friday and Saturday when they have a live band inside. But for a chill empty bar for those day drinkers I'd go from opening till just before noon. after a few months, I went back and definitely got more drinks then I should have and a nobility cup.

Lovely tiki bar in Solvang. Service was good, staff was very friendly. Drinks were all very good, my favorite was the Missionary's Downfall. Atmosphere was fun and on-point. A great late night spot that often has live music. Plenty of souvenir options, including shirts, hats, and drink mugs.

OMG if nothing else go for the atmosphere!!!! I recently got into tiki drinks.our waiters was amazing with the recommendations!!! the snack tray was delicious. but omg the decoration is so spot on. it feel like youve been transported back in time!!! Highly recommend!!

My girlfriends and I came here as part of a wine tour. I am not sure that tiki cocktails are actually wine? However I am so so happy we stopped in here! Super fun atmosphere, really adorable decor, fun vibes, and truly great drinks! I know it's a little silly, but I just love it when they put those little glowy things in the drinks. It was so festive, and really makes you feel like you're on vacation! Tricks were delicious, and surprisingly strong! Stop in here for a fun cocktail after dinner, you will have a fabulous time!

I think if we knew up front this was not a real tiki we would have been more open. The menu had rum and vodka in quotation marks, but we didnt realize why until we saw other reviews after our experience saying it was actually wine or soju they use and not real liquor. As avid tiki drinkers the flavors were way off for traditional tiki, but for being wine only kind of impressed. I do not recommend the coconut mojito, its very strong on lime, almost artifical tasting and super tart reminiscent of a lime sherbet. I could not taste the mint or the coconut. The painkiller tasted mostly like orange juice as well. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the presentations were spot on for tiki drinks. I just wish the menu was more upfront about it being wine only, we would have definitely ordered differently with a different set of expectations.

Stumbled upon High Roller on a weekend trip to Solvang and honestly, it was such a fun break from all the Danish bakeries. The vibe is super tropical--it feels like a little hidden patio getaway. I wasn't sure about wine-based tiki drinks at first, but they were actually really good (and a nice switch up from heavy rum drinks). They have beer too if that's more your thing. Just a heads up: they don't serve food, so definitely eat before you go. Great spot for a casual tiki drink.

It had been a few months since our last visit to the High Roller, and unfortunately this experience was very different from the previous one. It appeared that there was only one server, one bartender, and the owner working during an extremely busy time, which made the overall experience feel overwhelming and unorganized. When we first arrived, we were seated immediately, which was great. However, once we sat down, the service went downhill. Our order was taken, but after waiting over 20 minutes without receiving any drinks, my boyfriend went to grab waters for us. When he asked the bartender for cups--since there were none at the self-serve station--she rudely pointed out where the water was, even though he already knew. He had to remind her that there were no cups available. The drinks themselves were good, but the service was very poor. I understand that the owner is heavily involved and clearly puts a lot of effort into the bar. When I asked how he was doing, he seemed rushed and stressed, as he was acting as both server and bartender. He mentioned that things would be better if customers weren't yelling at him. While I sympathize with being understaffed, the frustration from customers seemed to stem from the long wait times and lack of service. The inside of the bar is cute and well decorated which makes me love this cool little spot, but sometimes the decor gets washed up by the service. Overall, the potential is there, but better staffing and customer service are needed to improve the experience, Especially during the holiday season when it's jam packed with tourists.

Both drinks we ordered were overwhelmingly sweet, made with low-quality ingredients, low-quality alcohol, and old citrus juice. The orgeat in the Mai Tai had a strange marshmallow-like flavor, and the Zombie was so syrupy it was undrinkable. We actually thought they forgot the alcohol and doubled the grenadine. My husband summed it up best: "This is actually the worst cocktail I've ever had." No wonder the bartender doesn't like tiki drinks... At $15 per drink, the experience was especially terrible. The decor and overall vibe were fun, which makes it even more disappointing that the drinks were so awful.

I've always seen this place but never had a chance to try it out. Either we didn't have time or when we do, they were closing. Well, it was a festive weekend in Solvang and literally everyone was out and about enjoying the holiday season and lights. Pretty much everything was packed or a major line. Decided to try this place out for a drink and to warm up a little. It's not a big place but quite roomy. There was patio seating along the side as well as the main bar area right when you walk in. It's smaller in that room. But we were seating in the back room which was slightly bigger. I can say it's quite a cool and creative fun place. Hawaii meets cocktails obviously. A cool design of the place giving tiki bar. Sofa seating along the wall and hi top tables and tables along the sides. Drink menu was fun. Pretty much mixed cocktails. As it was the holiday, they also had mulled wine which I did try. You could purchase the holiday mug that it comes in if needed. It was quite tasty and perfect for the holiday spirit. Warm and smooth but with a little special touch. Also tried the prickly pear margaritas and mojitos. They came with a lighted ice cube for the extra sparkle. Drinks were good and festive. It did get busy as people were starting to trickle in. It's a cool bar in Solvang. Drinks were pretty tasty. And priced well.

We love this place! We've been to Solvang twice and made sure to stop by each time. We can't wait to come back again! Great selection, NA options and a very fun and relaxing ambiance. This is such a fun tiki lounge and one of the best I've been to!

Had a wonderful experience at this Tiki lounge. I arrived for early morning drinks at 11am. Don't judge me, I was on vacation ;) The vibes at this place were great, and the drinks were even better. They also have a great retail area in which you can purchase shirts and tiki glassware. The bartender that helped us was very friendly and loud is plenty of time to make our decision. The drink menu was extensive. I wish this place was close to my home. I would be there at least once a week for a delicious tiki drink

Such a fun place to get cocktails. The drinks came out so festive and so cute. The service was great. We enjoyed barhopping around Solvang, but this is probably got to be one of my favorites. When I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely be back It's a fun tiki bar vibe that's Instagram worthy.

The coolest bar in solvang!!! I absolutely fell in love with the decoration and the ambiance they have going on at this tiki bar! So freaking cool!!!! They have a huge selection of drinks and cocktails! We ordered the mermaid bowl because it looked so cool, and it was so good! Sweet, refreshing and big! Lol I loved this tiki bar! If you're in solvang make sure to visit them! Also, they don't have any food in there just a snack box.

This review is a shoutout to Tayla, who is friendly and approachable; she made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. My friend and I loved her energy and sarcasm. They also had delicious drinks (I ordered no pain here!). The flavors were perfectly balanced. I was looking for something tropical and fruity, and this delivered! I also loved the nods to Disney also as the owner used to work for Disney. The only downside was not having food available. I think some tiki or tropical themed small bites would make all the difference. Otherwise, I would stop in again the next time I'm in Solvang.

We had an excellent time here. Jordan was an exceptional host. We absolutely loved the vibe - the music, the decorations - pure fun. And Jordan's recommendation of Honest Abe mead was such a perfect recommendation. I loved the cactus cooler mead so much I took some home for the family. I can't wait to go back here next time we're in Solvang.

As a local of the Santa Ynez Valley, I found it hard to review this place. Atmosphere great but when questioned the quotes around the hard liquor , couldn't help but feel a bit deceived to hear from staff that the quotes mean it's really wine vs rum or vodka etc. Prices reflect liquor NOT wine!

We came by on a Saturday night and checked out the colorful and quirky decor and setup in the various rooms of this tiki lounge, eventually finding our way into the live music lounge Club 433. We had a reservation, but it was not necessary in the early hours of the evening. The band on stage, Skunk Puppy, played familiar covers, like No Doubt's Don't Speak, Britney Spears' Toxic, and REM's Losing My Religion. The vibe was casual and carefree, the staff friendly and helpful even as the place got busier later in the night. The drink menu was awesome. We tried the slots o' fun, cuba libre, strawberry mojito, and silent scream, and all of these cocktails had unique and entertaining presentation, the beverages lit with green light-up ice cubes, and playful accessories topping off the sweet and tasty concoctions. We had a fun and memorable time and loved every minute of our experience here.

The High Roller Tiki Lounge is everything a Tiki bar should be--kitschy, colorful, cheeky, and just the right amount of chaotic fun. From the second I walked in, I felt like I'd been transported out of wine country and dropped into a 1960s island dream. The interior is packed with glowing float lanterns, thatched walls, nautical ropes, and vintage Tiki decor galore. There's even a canoe bench. A CANOE BENCH. I ordered their signature cocktail called "This Drink Will Get You Lei'd" (because obviously), and it didn't disappoint--fruity, strong, and served in a tall glass with a stylish stir stick and citrus garnish that screamed vacay mode activated. The drink was sweet but balanced--dangerously easy to sip. Menu is filled with other bold names like "Zombie Viking," "Missionary's Downfall," and "Suffering Scandinavian" (Solvang representation ). Whether you're into rum, gin, tequila, or just embracing your inner island explorer, they've got something with a twist of tiki madness for you. Service was chill and laid-back, as expected from a Tiki hideout. Loved the music, the lighting shifts (those glowing purple floor lights, though?!), and the cozy little corner I found for sipping and people-watching. It's was a little slower since it was a Tuesday but everything was amazing !! drinks were perfectly projected and strong and we had such a friendly bartender. Will be back when in Solvang

I love this place so much. Decorations were spot on! Everyone's so friendly and the drinks were so good!! If you love orange & pineapple juice with a hint of cream of coconut get the "Painkilla" I'm usually not a fan of coconut, but this was so so so refreshing! If you want something sweeter go for the Blue Hawaiian!

We came to this tiki bar with high hopes after reading the history and some rave reviews on Yelp--but unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. We started with every Tiki bar signature Mai Tai, and... wow. The drink came out looking so sad it should've come with a sympathy card. A single wilted leaf "garnished" the glass--it looked like the plant had died on its way from the bar to our table. My partner, who orders a Mai Tai at every tiki bar we visit, gave it a 1/10. When we arrived, the waitress told us to find a seat and said she'd come over. We did. She didn't came over. After waiting a while, we gave up and went up to the find her ourselves to order. We then tried ordering their cheekily named signature cocktail, "The Drink That'll Get You Lei'd", only to be told they were out of lemon--a key ingredient--so they couldn't make it. This was on a holiday long weekend (Sunday on Labor Day Weekend) with the bar only half full. How does that even happen? Don't bars and restaurants usually prepare a few days' supplies? The atmosphere had potential with a live band playing, but even that couldn't save our experience because after we moved to inside, we realize people were waiting for the bathroom in the middle of the bar. It just didn't feel right in every way. Drink: 1/10 Service: 1/10 Atmosphere: 3/10 (bathroom in the middle of the vibe) Sadly, we may not be coming back to this bar!

Recently stopped in here for a cocktail before dinner and it was so fun! Literally feels like you're near a beach somewhere. Super well decorated and several little areas to sit and hangout. They have outdoor seating as well, lined with tiki torches. Our drinks came with light-up ice cubes, which was so cool! I opted for the Neon Numbskull and it was really good. My husband ordered the Scandinavian and liked it. Service was excellent. We had our order taken quickly and staff even came by to check on us during our stop in.

I really enjoyed my time at High Roller in Solvang. The space is super cute, fun, and definitely has that playful vibe you'd expect from a place with such a unique theme. Long-time locals who used to enjoy this spot, but our recent visit was absolutely appalling. It's funny, if you look at most of the other 1-star reviews, it's all about how awful this female bartender is -- basically confirms that management is okay with how this bartender treats their patrons. Brought out-of-town friends for drinks on a quiet weekday afternoon. The place was virtually empty - just one other couple there. Despite this, we waited some time to be acknowledged, another while to place our drink order, then 15+ more minutes with no drinks arriving. One of our party went to the bar to inquire about our order and noticed menu differences between the bar and table menus. The bartender immediately became aggressive, shouting at our friend to "sit down" when she asked a simple question. When our friend politely persisted, the bartender exploded into profanity-laden screaming, repeatedly yelling "GET THE F*** OUT OF THE BAR NOW" and threatening police - all over a menu inquiry. We're respectful customers in our older years, not troublemakers. The entire incident was witnessed by other patrons who looked equally stunned. This was completely unprovoked and unprofessional. Management needs to review their security footage and address this employee immediately. No establishment should tolerate staff treating customers this way. We won't be back and will be sharing this experience with others. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

We went there last night and the ambience is fun for sure. The serving staff is great, but the music was horrible. The musicians weren't bad, but the singer was not good at all so it brought the whole vibe down. Seems like people came in and sat for a song or two and left which is a shame so maybe go for some better bands that are maybe just acoustical or find a band that has a good singer so people stay around and drink.

This is a fantastic tiki find in Solvang! They have a large menu of options to choose from, with some very interesting twists on some common classics (making something of their own out of each recipe). The bartender was 100% awesome/fun, and they also have multiple mugs to choose from that you can buy to take home with you. One of the most important traits of a good tiki bar. I always know I found a good one, when I have more than one drink! Thanks for a good time, and I'll definitely be back in the future if I'm in the area.

While strolling through town, we came across the High Roller and decided to give it a try since we love frequenting a good tiki bar. It's probably the smallest tiki lounge I've ever visited since they only had about 5 tables in the whole place. I did have to laugh because all their tiki drinks say "rum" in parenthesis. I had to read the fine print to figure out that they pretty much only have a beer & wine liquor license, so all they're allowed to serve is wine based drinks that are made to taste like alcohol. With this in mind, we did try a Mai Tai and a Painkiller and although they were fruity, the wine base is fairly notable. I do have to give it to them for their theme though.

The staff were so friendly and attentive even on a very busy night. Hubby got the mulled wine which was perfect for a cold evening. It was warm and perfectly balanced with flavor. I got the Blue Hawaiian which was great for my tastebuds, it wasn't too sweet and not too boozy. The bar itself was decorated fun and eclectic with Hawaiian decor and a sprinkling of Christmas (tis the season). There's so many things to see everywhere you looked, it could be some skulls, blow fish, fish nets with boots in them, etc. The energy was great but can be very crowded so just prep for that. A great place for a drink to help you get those kitschy island vibes

While I really appreciated that they were dog-friendly and had great decor, my Mai Tai was awful. The Painkiller was fine, but you have to have an on-point Mai Tai to call yourself a tiki bar/lounge.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Want to be swept away to an exotic far away island locale? Look no further! This place is an unexpected full-on hidden PARADISE inside of Danish Solvang! A surprise and a joy. Walk in and be transported. The drinks are great, the service is excellent and I could literally spend all day in this place. If you want something out of the ordinary and definitely not boring, get yourself to High Roller Tiki Lounge STAT! Tiki decor meets nautical style meets rockabilly and pin-up with a little Vegas thrown in. Something for everyone.

This bar is located on a well visited street, but there is plenty of street parking. The vibe is cool. One side had a mellow vibe and the other had an upbeat vibe with a live band and singer. People were dancing and having a blast. We sat outside to soak up the sun rays and were quickly greeted and had our order taken. I ordered the mojito which came in a cute cup with a light at the bottom. The drink was good, but a little on the sweet side.

"Be-ware" this place does not serve Rum nit serves a wine version with the real spirit pricing. 3 drinks $49 for soju style cocktails. Ambiance is great and authentic. It's very disappointing that the menu was NOT Clear that it's NOT actual legit Rum! So you're paying for juice and ambiance. Very disappointing!

Smack dab in the middle of a literal Danish village full of windmills, tourists and people double-fisting pastries, you'll find High Roller Tiki Lounge, aka the tropical fever dream none of us saw coming. We rolled up on a four-bagger surrey and wobbled straight into paradise. The decor? Peak tiki, like Don Ho and a surf band opened a speakeasy. The surfer rock set the mood, and the drinks sealed the deal. I had three different cocktails, all made with wine-based booze (bless California laws), and let me tell you smooth doesn't even begin to cover it. These babies go down like juice, but you can still get properly shitcanned with zero warning. * The Headhunter was my fave -- fruity, boozy, and definitely plotting something. * Another turned my mouth numb, which felt like a tropical rite of passage. * And the third? Honestly, I don't remember but I tipped extra so it must've been good. The service was amazing, even with our server training a newbie. Chill, friendly and happy to explain the menu to a group of surrey-riding goblins. If you're in Solvang and want a break from pastries and polite wine tastings, get your tropical on here.

Vibes were immaculate. Drinks were solid. I would come here again and recommend to anyone visiting Solvang. Tayla was our server and she was so accommodating when I had second thoughts about my chosen drink. To be honest, the whole staff was great about it and happily replaced my drink free of charge when I asked. It's a little off the main strip of all the shops and things, but it's worth it to come here.

This place was amazing !!!!! The drinks were the yummiest in the cutest cups and there was a live band playing the greatest rockabilly music and even taking special request ! If you are looking to have a fun time and even dance a bit this is the r right spot ! Must come back !

Stopped by to enjoy some live music and some fun with my SO. It was not busy so we were seated right away. We chose a spot where we could see the band. Steve took care of us. He has a lively personality and good attitude. I was kind of torn on what to order and Steve recommended the Blue Hawaiian. I was not disappointed at all. Too Sweet for my liking but it was good. It came in a glass with an ice cube glow inside that makes it attractive especially in the dark. Instagram worthy pic with the little umbrella and orchid on top. My SO liked his Moscow Mule. You can taste the ginger beer. It is not the usual Moscow Mule that I have tried. The music was okay. We would have preferred upbeat but for sure will stop by again when we are in town. Recommended.

A disappointment. We were in Solvang celebrating our anniversary over the weekend. One of the main reasons we chose Solvang was to visit the High Roller Tiki Bar and to bring home a Slots O' Fun Tiki Mug. They didn't have any and made no exceptions even though we made the trip from northern CA. It should be noted that the tiki inspired drinks while creative and well prepared, are not made with hard liquor, but a wine related ratio that is complicated to understand. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the vibe was dull and boring. Service was slow at first but after complaining they improved. Overall creative drink ideas and cool tiki decor but the lack of service boring vibe leaves a lot to be desired. TL:DR if you're coming for a tiki mug, call first as they may be out and the drinks are not made with hard liquor.

I thought it was interesting to see a tiki bar in the middle of Solvang so I decided to come check it out. This bar is open later than most other places in the area which is nice when you want to stay out a little later. They have quotes around their spirits in the ingredient lists because they only have a beer and wine license. To get around this, they use soju as their base but pour double to make up the difference. One of the bottles I saw was 24% alcohol so it's close but not exactly the same as normal spirits. I ordered the zombie viking, missionary's downfall, and slots o fun (all $13) and all were solid drinks that give the classic tiki flavors despite using unconventional spirits. They also have live music on Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm-10pm. The bartenders Steve and Andy were great and made sure I was taken care of. Even if they don't serve spirits, the spirit of tiki is very much alive and well here with all the music and decor.

Leave it up to my baby to spot the only tiki bar in Solvang. I swear, that man has a radar for this stuff. Solvang during Christmas time was in full effect. The streets were bustling, the restaurants were packed and we had to wait a solid hour for a table at a place to eat. So, as we walked the streets, we came upon high roller tiki on a whim. Of course, we had to give it a try. The drinks were great! They're made with wine and other liquor alternatives and everything tasted great! Our favorite was actually not a tiki drink (they were all amazing) but a seasonal mulled wine. So smooth and perfectly spiced. It was a chilly night, so it was perfect. We are now coming up with recipes to make at home. My honey is a major tiki fan so this was a perfect place for us. He liked it so much, we came back after dinner, watched a live band play and enjoyed a few more rounds. We will definitely be making our way back for our next trip to Solvang.

The only reason I am giving this place a star is because the drink I tried was decent. The bartender who was the only one working seemed overwhelmed. When I walked in she said "with the big group in the back" which I smiled & said yes. When more of my family came in she kept counting them. "Ok now 11" "now 12" when she got back to the bar she looked so irritated. She was rolling her eyes. We did not feel welcome so we canceled our second half of our order. Would never come here again.

We came to Solvang for a one night trip and we saw this super cute tiki bar when we were walking by. We came in initially for a couple drinks before dinner and then decided to return after. We had so much fun! The bar is decorated adorably tiki and the drinks were so delicious! Their staff is awesome and fun to hang out with and our bartender Tayla, was the best!! Definitely will return next time we're in the area.

It was my second time visiting high roller tiki lounge, Drinks here are always really good and well made. I came around 4 before the band so it was empty and service was fast. I absolutely love the inside, next time I'll be coming for the live music!

This has to be one of my favorite tiki bars. The decor was perfect... doesn't matter if it is day or night because it is the perfect time to drink. The bartenders were nice and helpful! They gave us a little souvenir to remember the place!

We went in on a Monday afternoon and were the only ones there for a little while before another couple came in. The hostess was super nice and helpful. The drinks were excellent. The atmosphere was on point - especially in the back lounge area. The vibe was great. Nice to see a Tiki Bar in Solvang. Will definitely be revisiting this place!
