Have stayed at this motel for work purposes before and had a pleasant experience, easy with PIN code entry no key, good location, quite clean and cosy rooms. No present reception but can call for help. However this week very disappointed by the service and literally stuffed around with lack of apologies and just told to work it out, nothing they could do for a massive error?!? Arrived on a Wednesday night 6:30pm knew the routine had a PIN and room code ready, opened the door no issues. And behold on the bed someone’s boxes and duffle bag?!? Had to immediately step out realizing I had been double booked the same room, and called staff just to be told “oh this happens sometimes and no way for us to know about it if u happen to book a the same time on booking.com”?!?! I have no idea how a business running these motels doesnt cross check and allows this to ‘just happen’. Advised me on the phone all other rooms full and had to look for somewhere else. Absolute nightmare, literally caused so much stress and panic, no sincere apology no compensation no nothing. Just sorry work it out basicslly. Unfortunately given the busy week and getting late; lots of trouble finding somewhere appropriate, decided to cope it drive over an 1.5 hours exhausted from work and in the dark home and drive back next morn. Only to be called as heading out of Echuca, there was a mix up with sending codes and rooms?? Said I was in another room and gave a different pin, despite telling me earlier all rooms were full. Literally questioning the security of all this as I had walked in on someone’s private locked room and could have happened other way around. Was paranoid all night thinking it was some else’s room and they were gonna also just walk in. Clearly something with the booking process and confirmations needs to be checked or reassessed on how it’s done!
