Food was spectacular! Our absolutely favorite date night spot on the island. Super friendly staff & even better food. Sabrina was very kind, attentive, & went above and beyond.

A wonderful place to eat at Edisto! The Parmesan Crusted Grouper was delicious! Shrimp is marvelous as well! Good service and even better food! Our favorite place on the island!

Our shrimp were delicious, breaded and fried in a tasty, light batter. Hubs and I both ordered the mac and cheese, and it was homemade "just like Mom's." Super delicious. ♥️ Key lime pie to go was the perfect finish, and our waitress Addy was super sweet and attentive. We were there between 5 and 6pm and the dining room was pleasantly quiet with plenty of patrons, and beautifully decorated with Edisto artwork! Perfect visit and we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our dinner there. The tiramisu cheesecake was to die for. had the soup, it was really good. ordered a side of crab, didn't get much for the extra $16. the country fried steak was awesome. Sabrena was the most awesome waitress! thanks for the hospitality!

Stopped in to try. Food was amazing- blackened mahi was yummy. The special was flounder with a seafood cream sauce over delicious bed of local grits. Allen the new chef rocked it! Jerry the bartender kept our drinks flowing! Highly recommend - we will definitely be back!!

I have been here 3 times and each time has been terrible. Tonight was the worst. We went in for just a drink and steamed oysters. Waited over an hour and the $40 plate of oysters was cold (we ordered baked “Edisto” style as well, another $38 they were cold and had been sitting out) Additionally the restaurant smelled like sewage (other diners complained). The bartender could have cared less that our food was cold, we even asked him to try an oyster. Edisto can do better. This restaurant is horrible.

We ate dinner on a Tuesday night. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best customer service of any restaurant on the island, and the food was even better! Our group of 8 was seated quickly and never had the need to ask for refills because we were asked if we needed more before our drinks were empty. The buttermilk fried chicken and grouper tasted as good as they looked, and the banana pudding martini was perfectly delicious without being too sweet!!!

This is my first time in Edisto Beach and I'm here with my aunt for the week. this is a really great restaurant. We got in right away and sat at the bar. The drinks and food are delicious. The tomato pie was the best thing I have eaten. I definitely want another one. The fried okra was delicious and the Mac and cheese was good but a little dry. The fried shrimp was slightly undercooked so we had to order more. The second batch was cooked well and delicious. I Definitely will be back for the tomato pie.

The food was pretty good but there were a couple of misses. E.g. the mac and cheese was bland and collard greens were oddly sweet (I had collard greens at three different places during our vacation and this recipe was my least favorite). However, the mashed potatoes and buttermilk fried chicken were tasty. Th cornbread and okra appetizers were somewhere in the middle, I'd probably skip those next but my kids did love the cornbread, so maybe not. The low country boil had good flavor but my wife didn't enjoy peeling her shrimp, and didn't expect it given the price point. The cocktails were decent. Overall I'd say the food is 4 out of 5 with most dishes being a 4 but a few being more of a 3.5. Service on the other hand was poor. It took forever for the waitress to come by and take our order and she disappeared for the entire meal, literally right after telling us she'd be back with refills. She eventually returned with the refills right at the end of our meal when everyone had finished and it was time to get the check. Disappearing for 30+ minutes after saying you'll be right back with refills was very annoying and is my biggest complaint. My initial version of this review was 3 stars because I was so annoyed by the service but in retrospect the food is the most important part and the kitchen deserves better than that. Overall I'm glad this place is here and I am planning to return, especially if they improve their service. We visit Edisto often so I'm rooting for this place, I just think service improvements especially would go a long way.

Amazing! I saw some bad reviews from when they first opened and I was a little nervous but it was PHENOMENAL. we had a party of 7 so the wait was lengthy but they seated us in only 20 minutes and we didn't wait long for our food either. I got buttermilk chicken, macaroni, and lima beans and it was so good!

We noticed this new restaurant, so decided to check it out... First of all, the place was surprisingly nice. Very open, lofty space with sleek, black furnishings, and lots of striking artwork. The place was also nicely air conditioned...and even featured good, beachy overhead music. The foods were typical Lowcountry Fish Camp type foods, specializing in Oysters...but quite delish. My husband had the Edisto Island Oysters, and they were quite unique...in that Oysters came topped with bacon bits. I had the Chicken & Waffles, with a choice side (Mac 'n Cheese)...and they too were unique in how the Waffle was extra crispy and sweet (no syrup or butter needed!). We also enjoyed their thick 'n creamy Lowcountry Chowder, nicely cut Fried Okra and the complimentary Corn Bread, which was SO creamy and sweet. However, the downside was that the bread came out a tad too crumbly and messy, and a bit hard to eat. Still, we really enjoyed everything we ordered...and thought the foods were MUCH better than what you'd find in a typical Edisto restaurant. The only thing I thought could improve a bit was the presentation of the foods...as most came out a bit sloppy. It looked as if some of foods were just carelessly dumped unto the plate. I actually had to "primp" up my Chicken and Waffle plate before taking pictures. If the presentation was a bit finer, I would have dropped 5 stars. Lastly, the service was solid. Our waitress was super-friendly, and the foods came out quickly. Overall, we were really impressed with this new place, and vowed to return on our future trips.

Service great and food is good. Very attentive service. The shrimp and grits were divine. I just wish the crab dip was warm and bubbly. Over all a great experience.

When you're just visiting SC and Edisto and you've had too much seafood already, come to High Tides for their fried chicken. Proportionately breaded, crunchy, flavorful and under $ 20 (April 2025 2nd day after tariffs), the other Yelp reviews on this dish got it right. We paired it with half a dozen of baked garlic oysters which were just as yummy. Service was friendly. And more importantly food came out quick and we made it in time to watch the sunset by the beach.

Came a second time just a few days later. Everything was good. New things we tried was the Pimento pork chop, pecan pork chop, tomato pie and Parmesan Groper. The new items were accompanied by some we already knew we liked. Still recommend and Curtis is still an amazing server. Tonight he was very busy but kept everyone happy. The bar was a little louder from extra people but otherwise very nice.

Seriously an amazing food experience. Amazing chicken fried chicken. Mashed potatoes are best in the south. Cornbread is awesome but definitely get the seafood tower!!

After being at Edisto for a few days, we were wondering if we were going to get good service and good food...we found it! We came in at opening (5pm) and it was quick to be seated, however I imagine you'd have a long wait later on....VERY LIMITED SEATNG Fried chicken with a side of gravy...maybe should be added to the menu as chicken fried chicken! The waffle was crunchy and delish The kids shrimp was a plate full and delish I wish the collards were cooked with meat and brown sugar...they were ok The low country chowder was delish!! Ok...last thing...the cornbread was ‼ I wanted more...& I didn't care how crumbly it was, we ate it with a fork! The server was great...Curtis was happy we were here and gave exceptional service with a smile. Best we've had here!

Everything was acceptable...just acceptable. Nothing was extraordinary. Like everything on the island it was a little pricey.

The shrimp was great, they do not hold back with regard to portions especially in the boil entree. The seafood tower- Awesome!!! Clean dining room and wonderful servers. Bar is solid as well.

Sabrina our server was fab. Meal special Flounder and raw oysters over the top. Don't miss this place.

Great food, super good customer service, and great atmosphere. The staff was really nice to talk with and very helpful to with suggestions for local businesses and entertainment!

Service was friendly & fast. Atmosphere is nice especially if you sit near a window. Food was uneven. Oysters were served perfectly and Giant. From Virginia. The collards were good and the seafood stew was unexpectedly cream based but good. The pasta and clams was bland. Chicken and waffles chicken was 3 ordinary chicken fingers. But the country fried chicken was a nice piece of chicken well prepared. The Lima beans & okra were fine. The mahi was nicely seasoned but a little over cooked. Some of the sides weren't very warm. We like other places on the island better but if you happen to order one of the better things, you can get a pretty good meal.

Came in the off season, looks like they have great outdoor seating for better weather days. Had their soup, which we highly recommend. The mahi-mahi is wonderful. A local said we absolutely have to get the pecan crusted grouper. Which we did not get because I had to have the seafood tower, after splitting a seafood boil with crab legs. It was delicious. To be honest the crab craws seemed to be frozen, which I overlooked due to the season. I was very impressed the Waitress knew where the oysters came from. Especially important as there's issues with Louisiana oysters right now. We had a great night at High Tide's. I would love to come back.

Really cute place, with a great view over the water. Drinks came out really fast and were good. Only had 2 servers working, so as it got busier you could tell they were going to need some help. Food was good, we started with the okra which came with a yummy sauce. Also got the mahi & pork chops. Great serving size.

Please don't order the salad, stick to their speciality dishes. Service was on the slow side but we came on a lower staffed night, so take everything with a grain of salt. My parents said the fried chicken and shrimp are really good tho! Our waitress did take our drinks and not offer any refills and we felt very rushed to get out of there after eating.

We got there at the right time. Jerry was behind the bar. Drinks came out! So far so good. Got the oysters Rockefeller. Pretty good. Jerry told us about the special. A dozen fried large shrimp. Great view from large windows along the back wall. Recommend.

There are a lot of weird things going on with this restaurant. I know they just opened so I am definitely giving them the benefit of the doubt, but we had a very strange experience when we visited recently. We had a group of six and were told that they would not be able to seat us because they can't add any additional chairs to their tables for "safety reasons". The restaurant is laid out very strangely. The space is huge but the tables are packed in along the side next to the bar and then there's a huge open space with only four hightop tables. It seem like they need to get more tables in there but maybe they don't have enough staff? I'm not sure. It also seems like they don't have enough chairs, especially for the bar as one whole side of the bar was nearly empty and people were gathered around almost hunger game style, hoping to snag a chair as soon as one opened up. The service was friendly, but slow as it seemed like maybe they were only one or two servers for the entire restaurant. The outside of the restaurant advertises seafood, and Raw Bar, but they were only really three options. The only shrimp available was either part of the lowcountry boil or shrimp cocktail. The seafood options are surprisingly scarce. In the main entrees with only clam pasta, grouper, and blackened mahi. I ordered the country fried steak with a side of mac & cheese and lima beans, and was disappointed when the country fried steak came out looking like something you'd get out of a box from the freezer section. The mac & cheese was fine and the lima beans were probably the highlight of what we tried. We had ordered raw oysters for the table and they were great. a friend got the shrimp cocktail, which only came with about five shrimp, which was not very many for the price tag. The menu has a whole feature on the flowers family and their seafood legacy, which I found confusing because there was a lack of traditional seafood options. My friend ordered the blackened mahi bc it came with a mango salsa, which they were out of but no one told us until the dish came out with no sauces on it. I know they said they were trying to differentiate themselves from other places on the island, but it seems like you should still have some of the traditional things available as well. We had also gotten the pimento cheese as an appetizer, and I was surprised to find that they put olives in it, which I had never seen before. All in all I think this restaurant could be really good. They just need to figure a few things out first.

Our family decided to try this newer restaurant, based on reviews, but we were quite disappointed. All four of our meals came out cold. We ordered food around 5:30, and did not receive our meals until almost 6:30. We sat at the bar, hoping our food would be out quicker, but it was the opposite experience. The restaurant is very small, and has maybe 10 tables. We sat at the bar, and our bartender/server seemed very frustrated with us. Once we finally got our food, it looked as if it had sat under a mediocre heat lamp for a good 20-30 minutes. My husband's "steamed" oysters were cold and one had a mouthful of sand in it. We have never seen sand, inside of a steamed oyster. I ordered the chicken breast, with Mac and cheese, and by the time it arrived, the Mac and cheese was lumped together, cold. I would have been better off getting it to go, and tossing the entire meal in the microwave at home. My in laws ordered the seafood platter, and the potatoes were undercooked, and the shrimp was beyond overcooked. It was $16 for four tiny crab legs, and they were also not hot. We will not be returning to High Tides. Save your money and eat at literally any other restaurant on Edisto.

1. Didn't bring enough silverware for table. Said he would but didn't. I had to go and pick up silverware. 2. Of four main dishes, two were really bad. Low country boil was so spicy it was inedible (and I like spicy). Mahi-mahi was overcooked. 3. Spicy margarita was over spiced. All in all, a terrible restaurant.

Ordered baked oysters, terrible. Fishy tasting and not fresh at all, complained to server, as came back to say nothing owner or bar tender could do. Not her fault but terrible customer service on their part! Very grumpy bar tender too!

Wonderful food! The best on the island! Definitely try the Edisto Oysters! Their homemade pimento is complimented beautifully by the collards on the fresh oysters. Yum! Everything is delicious! We enjoyed the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the Pecan Crusted Pork Chop with collards and fried okra! Wonderful!!!! And at this time, they had an apple ginger Moscow Mule that was refreshingly lovely! Wish we had known about this place the night before and not wasted our money on a place at the marina that was quite poor. This was delicious!!!! And Linda was just perfect as our server; knows the place VERY well! Definitely visit this restaurant! You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Nice new restaurant on Edisto Island. I had the blackened mahi mahi with 2 sides. Portion was enough for my wife to have a few bites with her seafood gumbo. Kids were happy with their meals too. Will definitely be back probably every Edisto trip we make.

The only positive to this restaurant is the view of waterway. The menu is fairly simple and thought we'd give the gator bites and the bacon cheese oysters a shot. The gator bites were severely undercooked and the oysters were overcooked. Mentioned to the bartender and he didn't offer a manager to speak with or anything for that matter. Our bill for the 2 appetizers and a couple of cocktails was $96. Overpriced to say the least for subpar food. I'm thankful we didn't get sick. I'm quite confused at the high reviews and wondering how or why no one else has had this experience, so I'm adding this picture of our food

The food was delicious! The service was awesome & quick! We sat by the window facing the water & it was a beautiful sight. Very nice & clean! You can tell it is new! The Lowcountry Chowder was the best!!

High Tides was entirely remodeled since our last visit in 2018. The menu offerings we tried were oyster on the half shell, gator bites and fried okra. The waiter we had was Curtis, a young man we quickly grew to like and admire. His knowledge of the menu and his courtesy made us even happier with our choice for dining. They offer raw /steamed offerings along with entrees we never made it to. The meal was one of the best of the week for us , and definitely the best on the island. The bar also offers drinks for just about every liking. We plan to visit again before departing for home.

Excellent fresh squeezed bar beverages! The Edisto oysters were amazing and service was great!

Food was excellent! Only giving 4 stars because our service was a little slow due to a packed house which is understandable. Would give 4.5/5

Low Country Boil is quite good. Service was very good and the view is great. Seating is limited but worth the wait.

I agree with someone's earlier review that this place just has a really weird atmosphere immediately when you walk up the stairs. The hostess initially said there was no seating even though there 4 empty tables with a few people waiting, but the bar was open and we could order food there. My two friends and I wanted to wait for a table and we asked how long the wait is. Which the hostess responded by saying that we could eat our meal at the bar...again. We really wanted a table and were willing to wait but didn't want to ask a third time so just decided to sit at the bar. Two of the open tables were filled by people waiting before us, leaving two 4-person tables still open. This would've been fine if they remained empty and it was a staffing issue, but the next group of 2 people that walked in immediately were sat at a table. Followed by a couple that walked in and was immediately sat at a table. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but this doesn't seem like the place so I'm confused as to why we weren't seated when we asked...twice. We sat at the bar for a good 10 minutes before given a menu. It wasn't that busy but just seemed really chaotic and understaffed and like no one who worked there wanted to be there. The food was not very good and extremely pricy. Only a few tables get nice view out of the windows. We had to sit at the bar with our backs to the water. Would not recommend and will not be going back.
