Highgrove Lodge and Restaurant

The staff are really helpful but the rooms are basic and cold. The linen was dirty amd I had to ask them to change it. The most annoying thing was having drunk men forget where their rooms were and try to open the door where I was.

Great service at the bar and restaurant, the staff is friendly. I haven't yet booked a staycation.

The stay at the lodge was very good. I would recommend anyone to stay there. The facility is located away from the CBD but amenities are close.

Maria is a great hostess and waitress! Great pizza and cosy atmosphere at night.

Very pleasant staff who try hard. Relaxed atmosphere, but service level and food standard let them down. Despite all this, I enjoyed my couple of days there.

Everything was perfect. No tips and guidelines needed. Just we waited a bit long for our food that nihgt.

The Bedding had an unpleasant smell, not to mention the Toilet, it was making noise, and the maintenance guy came to fix but it got worse, it made the noise the whole night, and the remote to the Aircon was not working. One evening we chilled at the Bar, having our drinks, the next thing we were locked outside, when going to our rooms we had to go through the main gate and they never warned us that when the Bar Closes we will be locked outside. I did not enjoy my stay

What we liked: the room and bathroom are spacious with fancy mirror in bathroom; beautiful surroundings and set-up; good food and coffee. Recommendations; rubber mat and shelf in the shower; hand towels and rail at the basin; additional rail for bath towel; flat sheet for the bed; a hair dryer and electric socket close to a mirror; General comment: we were told breakfast is served from 07:00 until 11:00 but when we arrived at 09:15, we got the imression we were too late; we walked out of the restaurant on Saturday evening because the waitress didn't come back to take our order or offered us the drinks menu; there was a foul smell suspectedly from the little dam; we only had one (1) teabag at the coffee station; please switch on the fridge when guests are expected; the fact that the restaurant is not open on a Sunday can be a problem for guests not staying in a self catering section
