Neighbourhood spotlight: Highland Park, Los Angeles - SilverKris

"A restored Prohibition-era bowling alley with skylights that cast a soft, hazy glow over a carefully renovated interior; saved and reopened after a multimillion-dollar renovation, it feels cinematic and historic while serving as a lively community anchor." - Natalie Compton

Worked at Shakespeare in the Park. A true Rochester gem that is very under used. Would love to see concerts and activities come back. Needs restrooms. Too small for play intermission. City needs to put portajohns there for events. Please!! Went to lots of shows as a kid. Would like to see it used for the same.

The Highland Bowl is a great location for concerts and other public outdoor events that attract hundreds of people. The Bowl has street parking, and being just outside of Rochester, it offers multiple nearby attractions.

I keep forgetting what a gem this place is. I used to take the kiddos there to "perform" or sledding years ago pre-covid.last week we got to enjoy the opera night there and it was absolutely perfect, from the weather, sky, decor and of course the superb opera crew!!. Just perfect

Great show, Shakespeare in the park. Good sound system and decent bathrooms on site.

Experience was a summer morning hike. Lots of shade and interesting historical trails in the area.

I went with my daughter to a performance of Midsummer Night's Dream here. Each reservation had its own space sectioned off on the lawn because of Covid restrictions, which was actually quite nice with young kids! Masking was required throughout. Portapots were available for bathrooms and were well maintained.

Great live music venue. Central to lilac festival activities. Kids loved to visit Christmas tree and take family photos
