Highland Park

We visited Highland Park, and it’s truly one of the best places to take in panoramic views of Baku. From here, you get a stunning, uninterrupted view of the city, with the Flame Towers looking especially impressive from this height. There’s also a mosque nearby, and the whole area is beautifully laid out with wide walking paths, making it perfect for a relaxed stroll. It’s a fantastic spot for photos - you can capture the sea, the city skyline, and even the Baku Eye in one frame. Overall, it’s a calm, scenic place that really lets you appreciate Baku from above. Definitely worth a visit, especially around sunset or early evening. There’s also a funicular but we didnt take it.

Highland Park is a place you should definitely visit at least once if you are planning a trip to Baku. The park offers a beautiful observation area with breathtaking views over the city, and you can also see the Flame Towers up close, as they are located nearby. The park is clean, well maintained, and not overly crowded. It’s a wonderful spot for photos — both with the city panorama and the Flame Towers in the background. In my opinion, this is one of the best places to truly appreciate the beauty of Baku, especially the coastline. There are many benches throughout the park, which makes it comfortable for elderly visitors as well. One thing to note is that there are no public restrooms inside the park. However, you can use the facilities at the restaurant located within the park area near the viewpoint. Accessibility is partially limited: to reach the main observation point, you need to climb stairs, and there is no direct wheelchair-accessible path from the lower entrance. That said, if you arrive from the Flame Towers side by taxi, the park itself is accessible for wheelchair users from that direction. You can easily reach Highland Park by taking the funicular, walking up the stairs located to the left of the funicular, or taking a taxi to the Flame Towers and walking from there. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot with some of the best views in the city.

Highland Park is a nice place to slow down and just take in the view. You get a clear overlook of the city, the Caspian Sea, and the Flame Towers, and it looks especially good in the evening when everything lights up. It’s clean, quiet, and good for a casual walk or sitting around for a bit. Not crowded, not noisy, just a calm spot to breathe and enjoy Baku from above. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re nearby.

An ideal spot for photoshoots. It offers a wonderful view of the city of Baku and the sea. There are many trees and resting areas. It's easily accessible by the Funicular (1 AZN per one-way trip). There are also several cafés here to suit different budgets. While it can be crowded at certain times of the day, it is very quiet because the Alley of Martyrs (Şəhidlər Xiyabanı) is located nearby. I recommend visiting this place both during the day and at night.

Highland Park is a peaceful and scenic spot in Baku with beautiful views of the city. The area is clean, well-maintained and perfect for walking or relaxing. It’s a nice place to enjoy fresh air and take photos, recommended everyone who came Baku for a tour must visit this place.

Visited here at night and it was really beautiful. Very calm, peaceful, and meaningful. The lighting and the eternal flame make the place feel special, and the views over Baku at night are great. Definitely worth visiting if you want something quiet and authentic.

Spectacular view if Caspian sea and the Baku city coast line below. Signsture views of the Flame Towers which are on top of the hill as well. You can walk up the hill (stairs or road) or take the funicular. As many have mentioned, the sunset views with the Flame Buildings is not to be missed (just kind of busy). The Eternal Flame at the top along Martrys' Line commemorating Black January was kind of a bonus...another traveler told me about it
