Beautiful location and great food. Value for money is good. Enjoyed 2 courses, entree, main and sides. The fire added to the atmosphere.

We had an absolutely amazing meal here. Everything from the entree to the dessert was exceptional. The beef cheek and lamb were of noted on a chilly night in 👌🏻

We had a 3 course meal from a very new menu, and were amazed at every dish and beverage. Everything is beautifully presented, and felt like something you couldn’t find anywhere else (let alone at the top of a mountain). Very delicious and full of depth. There are plenty of VE/DF/GF options but also plenty for more carnivorous types. They also give you extra exquisite snacks that are called certain French words that I won’t pretend to know. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing, with soft piano, a warm fireplace and warmer smiles. Big thanks to Cassey who made the night extra special and fun with her joyful service and perfect recommendations.

We were thoroughly impressed with our dinner at the Highland Restaurant. The food was exceptional—fresh, flavourful, and a true celebration of Tasmanian produce. Despite it being the off-season, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. This was genuine fine dining. The wine list was superb, and the complimentary champagne for our honeymoon was thoughtful. Service was warm and attentive. For the quality of both cuisine and experience, the pricing was very reasonable. A standout evening and an undeniable highlight of our trip.

We opted for the 2 course menu and the food was beautiful! My husband and I had such a lovely dining experience. Total food cost was $210.00 but we knew the prices of the set 2 or 3 course menu before going. Would highly recommend for a special event such as anniversary. The services was also excellent.

Exceptional food and views. Had the lamb rump, beef cheeks and kingfish and wallaby carpaccio. The wallaby in particular was such a surprise, very tender and flavourful with any gaminess. Service by Alfie was a delight. The cellar is well-stocked and it was great fun to be able to see all the bottles instead of only picking from a list. Portions are not generous for the lamb rump so be sure to order plenty of sides.

Beautiful food was really let down by incredibly long wait times and poor service. What was supposed to be a celebration for a special birthday just became a bit of an ordeal. Reservation was at 6.45 we hadn’t received mains until after 8.30…. really disappointing. The worse the wait time became the worse the service was - it was a bit shambolic. In addition, the staff told us that the kitchen had never made the meal we ordered before and were freaking out - That doesn’t really make for an stress-free hospitality experience. At this price point, you’d expect chefs to know their own menu. Appreciated the credit on drinks, but the damage was already done.

Food pretty good. The location is spectacular overlooking the little lake and who doesn't love a beautiful meal in the mountains with a log fire. Impressed by the attentiveness and friendliness of the wait staff. We had Ailish and she was an absolute pleasure. Overall lovely
