It smells funny in here. I'm sorry but my first impression was a sour smell. It lingers and makes for a horrible environment to dine in.
I liked the Doritos Chili Pie (Nachos) we had for an appetizer much more than my wife did. Apparently I'm simple and basic. I thought it was good. It's just Chili, cheese, dried parsley, and Doritos, that's it. I did find it tasty though. The damn chili is really good!
Service was odd, and completely spotty at best. It's obvious that they aren't working for tips. I get your innovative stance on menu, and it's all built into the price structure, kind of groove. It's a great idea, I hope it ends up working out!
My wife hated her food. She said it was very low quality and after tasting it I have to agree. The "Bangers" were like Sam's club bratwurst at best it seemed. I would have thought they made their own at a place like this. Nope, they were obviously not homemade. Mashed potatoes (not that great) were drowned in what tasted like McCormick gravy. I could be wrong. I've been wrong before, but if this is made in house...
I had the fish and chips. I've been searching for a home for this dish in the metro area. I did find a pretty good fish offering, but most of my plate was also lackluster. The fish was crispy and tasty! I hit it with the Vinegar and it was the best I've had around here.
The tarter sauce jar was cute and fancy, but failed to be practical and useful. The stuff in it was just chopped poorly and it was hard to get it out.
My Chips/Potatoes where undercooked and a bit crunchy in the middle. Nooooo! This was a killer!
The Pea smoothie however was on point. It was really good! I imagine it was exactly as it should be.
My wife ordered a terrible vanilla drink because they were out of "Gotta Get Up" even though it was on the menu. She took one sip and it sat. It was nasty!!!
My beer was great. Ananda! Yum
