We cannot relate to the wonderful reviews of the rooms. They are very old and in need of updating. The kitchen didn’t have potholders or a cookie sheet to warm food. The coffee pot took 1-1/2 hours to complete. Asked for a new one and which was no better. We were told “we know we need new coffee pots and will be looking into”. Dining set was scuffed up and the couch sagged. Both very uncomfortable. Bathroom towel racks were loose and there was build up on the faucets. No safe in our room or washer and dryer. Thankfully the bed was comfortable! We’ve stayed at many beautiful gold crown resorts and I’m sorry to say this one is not.

We had a great stay with them. Room was great loved the jetted tub in our king suite and love that kitchen had everything we needed pots , pans , glasses, utensils it was fully stocked with everything you need to cook! Only thing we wished was that the pool was open, but they were doing maintenance to it so we understand and wished the fire pit worked. But we will definitely stay here again when we come to visit! Stuff was great!

The resort overall is very nice. However, a few problems we encountered with our group of 4. - There was a sofa bed for the two of us, and it was very soft that we can feel the springs. There was nothing they did for us. That sofa wasn't made ready for us to use - From my bedroom I can hear an ac unit turning on and off every ten minutes or so and I know it wasn't ours. I lost a lot of sleep the nights we were there - Unit is so far away from Sedona main attractions Pablo the handyman was most helpful.

October 2025-Clean and spacious rooms. Pool and hot tub area newly tiled. Spectacular views of the mountains and Verde valley. Located in a quiet area, and just a short drive into Cottonwood or Sedona. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent get away from the hustle and bustle. Our room Is beautiful with mountain and greenery everywhere. Full equipped kitchen, pull out queen bed in living updated. Jacuzzi tub in bathroom, huge shower for two. Great king size bathroom.

Nice small resort, well appointed, good size unit (1bdrm); good bedding, large bathroom, nice view towards mountains.|| close enough to many stores and restaurants. Nice amenities in the resort.||A bit outdated the unit. the carpet stained in many places (even after been cleaned), as well the sofa bed doesn't look to well. And one annoying thing was that all HDMI ports to the TVs were unusable for streaming.

We are here for 4 weeks while our new house is going through the contract stage. The room is perfect for tv watching, meal prep and clean up, plenty of room in the one bdrm, playing games on large table inside or on the patio. enjoying shower or extra large soaking tub. The pool is phenomenal as is the play park for little children, yours or the grand-kind.The entertainment while I stayed there was StandsWithBear whose flute playing accompanied by drums, guitar, violins, piano and a beautiful mellow voice under the stars were the highlight each night he performed; never heard richer sounds floating on night air, the other guests were rapt at the performance and changing instruments and beautiful quality of sound in the night air, and we know music having lived near Ravinia in Chicago and subscribed for years. It’s a great resort to enjoy for a couple, families, guests, and would highly recommend if you are staying near Sedona. It’s not too precious that you feel you have to dress to impress, It’s off the beaten path and all the traffic of the crowded Village, and has its own charm as a starting and ending place to lay your head and enjoy the skies day and night! Nearby Old Cottonwood has its own charming eateries and specialty shopping as well as a district of modern retail with more suburban delights to the east. All services can be found in nearby Cottonwood. Not far off Rt 17 -so accessible to Interstate drives and very reasonable contrasted to Village OC or Sedona hotel prices! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, will house overflow guests here for sure! It has something fun for every age group, as well as a lending library!

Yelp
This resort is clean, spacious, convenient and pleasant! if you're looking for somewhere to have a resort atmosphere, but also have peace and quiet, but still near various towns to shop, eat and have a little bit of nightlife, this is the one! The only two things that I would give it five stars would be to add a shower caddy in the bathroom. We had to put our toiletries on the shower shelf and get some better pillows, as they were hard but other than that everything was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very accommodating. We had our trailer, so they put us in the back corner so we would have space for the bikes and the trailer, they made us feel very welcome. They do have a gravel lot to park your trailer if you want to as well. They have they also have activities during the weekend, even on Monday. The resort fee is only $15 which is wonderful compared to others. Also the hot tub whirlpool inside the room has shelves for your arms to be on while you're in the tub, making it a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay there again!!

Yelp
Friendly staff, awesome room that comes with a kitchen. Pool, hot tub and adult hot tub that is open late, bbq areas and not Sedona prices but within 20 minutes of Sedona. Would definitely stay here again. 10/10 Pro tip: Bring your own DVDs (they have them in rooms but nothing to rent) or Firestick,

Yelp
The setting has lots of greenery near a golf course, crystal clean pool and 2 spacious hot tubs. Rooms are large but not sound proof, but if you are looking for a vacation where you don't have to lift a finger this is not for you. You are expected to do your own housekeeping including cleaning your dishes and putting your trash in the dumpster and leaving promptly at 11am. The nearest restaurant is in old Town Cottonwood, 10 mins. away, so be prepared to have snacks. They have full sized refrigerators which is very convenient. They also provide laundry soap and softener and a free laundromat on site. I think its a great getaway close to Sedona, but you must leave everything as clean as you found it, not like a hotel that has room service.

Yelp
Spacious unit in AZ that's a approximately a 20-30 minute drive to Sedona. Stayed here with my family during our hiking trip (5 total) and it was booked via RCI. We had two connected units and there was plenty of room for shared sleep spaces. The couches are pullout and the beds are king-sized. Checkin starts at 4pm and checkout is at 11am. There's free parking on the property. There is a fitness center available (some machines like a stationary bike, elliptical, lat pull down are there, but no mats). Towels are available as well. There's a hot tub but it wasn't on during our visit. The pool was also unavailable but since it was December, we didn't mind.

Yelp
In a great location. Secluded to the rest of the city. Premises very clean and quiet. Room was clean and fully stocked. Parking right in front of our room. I was greeted by the concierge, she was very nice and welcoming. I will recommend this hotel. Hotel was a little pricey, but not compacted to any other hotel rooms with the amenities in the room we got.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at Highland Resort. Unfortunately it was too short a stay. Check in is at 4:00 and we were on the road by 6:30 the following morning. We had a beautiful 1 bedroom suite and it was spotlessly clean with full well equipped kitchen, 2 TV's and one of the nicest en suite washrooms that I've had with a full walk in shower and a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub. We also had a large private patio that could seat 4 + very comfortably. My husband used the pool and thoroughly enjoyed it. The resort has a nice laundry area near the pool. The resort is ideally situated a short drive to Sedona and the charming historic town of Jerome. It's nice to be able to just take a short drive and get away from the congestion in Sedona and enjoy the peaceful and tranquility at Highland Resort. The only minor issue for us was the air conditioning. We found the air conditioner to be very loud and consequently we ended up using the ceiling fans to stay cool We would highly recommend Highland Resort and are just disappointed that our time here was so short.

Yelp
This is a nice place for a long stay. Especially if you're a golfer you'll be in heaven because the golf course is absolutely beautiful. I can't specify more because I'm not a golfer I just saw the view. However, I love to work out and the gym is simply run down like mini hotels. The pool is quite lovely and so are the grounds. There's a nice little sitting area that overlooks the golf course and has fountains and comfortable chairs. However, looks can always be deceiving as one well knows. Our one bedroom room was ample; yet once inside, it always amazes me how the surface looks so clean and the place is so incredibly gritty and dirty. Dust bunnies abounded beyond the surface and behind the couch and under the chairs. Furthermore, the couch looked well used and grimy. The studio one bedroom has a small cooktop and tiny little counter. All the appliances are sky high above the refrigerator in the cabinets. I'm 5 foot four and had to climb up on a chair to reach everything including the toaster oven. Not the easiest place to cook in but still it was a place to cook. The rules also specified for the hotel clientele to throw out the trash and wipe down the counters. It's a little tiring to me when you have to check out at 11 AM and throw out all your own trash and wash all the dishes and so on and so forth. At least the bed was comfortable and the sheets smelled clean. The towels were ample and clean as well. Just an average stay for the appearance that seemed so promising.

Yelp
F found this place on Expedia and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. It did not disappoint. We had a one bedroom one bath with a full kitchen over 800 ft.². We had a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed. The patio was nice for enjoying our coffee and overlooking the courtyard. We were in room 100. we also like there were double sinks in the bathroom and a large shower as well as a bath tub with Jacuzzi jets and a separate water closet. Being able to do laundry for free including soap, and dryer sheets was a huge plus The property is very well-kept. we also took advantage of the adult hot tub. They also had a small game room with a foosball table, and shuffleboard. There was ping-pong and corn hole games in the courtyard. And we enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit with a glass of wine after a long day in Sedona.

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time after looking for timeshares near Cottonwood. Did not utilize the resort's onsite amenities so my review is on our accommodations only ... Check In was very smooth and I was very happy to not be pressured into a presentation. Being an experienced time share owner I feel there is a time and a place for that and I always appreciate when they recognize ... not now ... We had an upper floor 1 bedroom unit. This was the only disappointment because we brought our bikes and had to carry them upstairs. Being completely fair I did not request a lower unit (will remember that next time) so I can't be upset they didn't accommodate. The unit was quite nice. We took full advantage of the kitchen preparing many of our meals here and the jacuzzi tub was AMAZING! The only suggestion I would have is it's time to replace the sleeper sofa. The one we had has seen better days. We took a great walk along the loop surrounding the golf course and surrounding neighborhoods. It was absolutely beautiful. I love the location of this resort and will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is a small resort with just maybe 6 buildings. But what they lack in size they make up with quality, attentiveness, and all around customer focus. We were lucky enough to be there to see Standing with Bears who did two performances this week. Wonderful native flutist. We had a small issue that maintenance took care of within minutes. I've stayed at RCI resorts all over. This kitchen was fully stocked with coffee filters coffee, salt &pepper, good pans, laundry soap and softener and it was just great. Quiet but only 15 miles from Sedona and right off highway 89A.

Yelp
10/27/18-11/3/18. We have stayed in this time share about 4 or 5 times. We've always recommended it to others, but can no longer do that. The resort still has same furniture it had when we first came in the early 2000, needs replacing. The pools/spas are sorely in need of resurfacing. The exercise equipment is old with rotting seats on the exercise bike. We stayed in a studio which I would never recommend. No where to store food without taking dishes out. Some dishes were so high on shelves we had to ask for a step stool, not Safe. The sink was so small you couldn't wash items in it. The room had dirty sheets in it when we arrived, and cleaning cloths were left in the room on our cleaning day. On the plus side, it's only 17 miles into Sedona. Just close enough to go into town but far enough that it's nice and quiet. I feel bad to have to write this review because we've always said this was the best place to stay near Sedona. We heard management had changed maybe that has something to do with it.

Yelp
I really like the unit itself, it's spacious & has what I need. Laundry facility by the pool area with a Rec room with games to play. A pool & hot tub with an addt'l adult only spa. The bathroom is huge, a separate shower and a jet spa tub. I don't golf but it is on a golf course. Why I didn't rate it 5 stars is the office personnel aren't very friendly. I've stated multiple times & it's always the same negative energy. It's too bad to have to deal with unhappy people but it is what it is.

Steve K.

Yelp
We stayed 9 days here and enjoyed each and every one of them. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the area is beautiful. We look forward to returning again sometime in the future. We had left some important sport clothing unknowingly. The management called me and made arrangements to have it shipped to my home address. It arrived soon after we did. I couldn't be more grateful.

Yelp
We had the best time, golfing in the Sedona area. We made Highlands Resort at Verde Ridge our home base. The staff and general manager, (Robb) was very helpful and accomodating for our large group. (Four Condos) They were ready for our arrival and check in was very fast. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the spa's after a long day on the course. Great location to visit Cottonwoods old town, Jerome, Sedona and the Grand Cayon National Park!

Yelp
This resort needs MANY upgrades to various areas: pool, hot tub (jets don't work), laundry room has broken down washer, the game room needs the air hockey fixed, and some steps need repaired. The location is nice though. Shopping is close by and there is easy access to a lot of different activities including zip line and the Grand Canyon. It was a pleasant stay though.

Yelp
We reserved 4 condos months ago and asked for them to be adjoining because our entire family would be here. Instead they booked us on separate floors over one another even though we called again last week and reminded them of our request. We arrive ("we" meaning just us, the 66 and 67 year old grandparents) and find out two of the units are on the second floor and they have no carts to help carry our luggage and a week's worth of food and supplies, nor do they have an elevator. We ended up paying a worker $10 to help with the luggage and supplies. The worst part however, WHICH WE LEARNED AT CHECK-IN was ALL the resort's daily activities, (except swimming, work out and game rooms) are at their sister property 8-9 MILES AWAY! WOW! Our 8 grandkids are their parents are gonna love that! WHAT A RIP OFF Check in later this week for an update
