Good tacos in Torvehallerne. The portion is quite small for an average price. I found the quality worse than in Kødbyen. The staff was nice and service fast. They have their own seating area but can’t say it was clean.

Google
Pricey but delicious Mexican stand in the market hall. The guacamole was so unique! It had some kind of avocado leaf oil, and was really rich and avocado-y. The chips were super crunchy and very corn-y. The salsa was my ideal salsa- spicy but also sour, sweet and salty. I wish I could make salsa like that. The tacos were superb as well - especially al pastor and Barbacoa. The veggie was not the most impressive - I did like the flavour combinations but it was a bit minimalist being kale with a bit of peppers and onions and some chilli crisp. Overall though I would recommend this highly! Some of the best tacos I’ve had.

Google
Don't be scared by the low rating. I had the taco combo: flavorful with a nice level of spicy in the perfect corn tortilla. I had tacos in another place in the city with higher rating and this one was better for sure.

Álvaro Ferrero

Google
I had the taco combo and they were pretty decent, with nicely balanced flavors. The lemonade was also quite good. A good spot to try Mexican food.

Google
Easily the best mexican in Copenhagen, if you are searching for authentic Mexican tacos you can ignore the negative reviews. Go at lunch or dinner time, as that is when the pastor is freshest off the trompo, with great char yet still tender. Veggie taco changes almost weekly with unique flavor combos. Habanero salsa is not too spicy or acidic, with great flavor. Masa is nixtamalized in house and you can clearly taste the corn with no bitter flavor from tannins like in store bought tortillas. Price is admittedly high but worth it if you want Mexican food in this city.

Located in the food market and a very spacious area of seating too. The Gringa Tapas was very nice and the meat was juicy. The service is friendly too.

Annika Mol

Google
Very tasty taco’s. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Bit pricey but still worth it in my opinion. The tequila was also very tasty.

Wenyi Lee Stones

Google
We had the taco combo which includes three different kinds of tacos- pork, beef and vege ones. They were all delicious and I liked the vegetarian one most because it has a spicy kick and nutty. You might need to wait for about ten minutes when it’s busy but not too long. Overall we quite enjoyed it.

Yelp
First legit tacos I've seen in Copenhagen. Service was quick and easy. I love that I was located in the corner so there was plenty of seats..

Yelp
The main reason why I wanted to eat here is because the owner used to work as NOMA's pastry chef. The secondary reason is because of "Somebody Feed Phil." The taqueria is conveniently located at Torvehallerne food market. This was my first meal in Copenhagen and I was really hungry. I tried all three of the tacos they had that day- potatoes, carnitas, and barbacoa. Of the three, I liked the potatoes one the most. I didn't like the thick tortilla that were used. In the end, I was still hungry and unsatisfied. I was also disappointed they didn't have paletas at this location. I'm glad I got the chance to try them though.

Yelp
As someone who lives in Los Angeles, I can say that these tacos were delicious!! The tortillas are handmade and so tasty. The toppings are also a great addition to the overall flavor. Got the trio of all the meat options and its a great way to try them all!

Yelp
Tacos in Copenhagen? You bet I did. Turns out, Hija de Sánchez was the perfect stop on my way to my next destinations from the Nørreport train station. I had seen this place on the Dave Chang Netflix show, Ugly Delicious, so I was pretty excited to check it out. I liked the tacos I tried save for the plain cheese one. Usually cheesy tacos are good from my experience but this one was bland and dry. The others were awesome though, and came with a variety of colorful, tasty toppings and salsas. Asada and onions were juicy and filling. At 5 USD a pop, I was glad for it. As I ate my tacos and sipped my beer at a standing table on the street, I noticed others taking their beers to go and wondered if I should do the same. It took me until I passed a group of dudes picnicking in the botanical garden, an hour later, that offered me a beer to realize that duh, it's legal to walk around with beer here. Slow learner, this one. Great city, Copenhagen. The food comes out in about 10 minutes and the lines go by quickly. There is a decent amount of picnic tables for sitting and eating, and other tables in the courtyard behind Hija (where a beautiful outdoor market was in effect on my visit) can be used as well. I was perfectly happy standing and eating. I would definitely stop by here again if I'm ever in this city again! Just no cheese taco.

Yelp
Hija de Sánchez was recommended to me by a local as the "best Tacos across the pond," and as someone who has been to Mexico, California, and Texas, these Tacos definitely measures up against the best. Their vegan taco with kale was so filling you would've needed only two versus the three I had ordered. The owner is a former employee of the ever famous Noma, so you know this place holds up to its reputation.

Yelp
A lil taco for a lil guy - not much more to ask for! Good tacos in a really cool market. Nice to walk around and then chill and have some tacos. Also, never skip the jarritos.

Aileen S.

Yelp
Ive heard so much about this place, it was one of the places I needed to try while in Copenhagen. I got the taco combo. Fillings were good, tortillas were to dry and thick. If there was salsa I couldn't taste it. The esquite was surprising well flavored and tasted good, still needed more spice though there was non. Hibiscus tea was unflavored, and I didn't care for it. The workers were very friendly and helpful. A little difficult to find the location, maybe a bigger sign or something outside

Yelp
I watched this place on Ugly Delicious and read about it in my Norwegian airline magazine and it solidified the fact that I should come, which Hija's was the first place I went to after landing. Since I wanted to try everything, I got the 3 tacos special- whole fried egg, cheese and barbacoa. While everything was delicious, I would still highly recommend pouring over the salsa they have. I think those are the real MVPs! I do agree with the other yelps that the tortillas were super fragile and broke right when I folded them. In addition, they were quite pricey, especially with a Jarrito. Unfortunately, I was only satisfied and not too full since the tacos were small, so it left me wanting more.
google avatar

Yelp
Was excited to check out hija de sanchez as I found out that the owner was the former pastry chef of NOMA. I thought the tacos were just okay. They were kinda bland to me. I got the 3 taco special and I believe their taco menu changes. When I went it was barbacoa, fried egg, and cheese. The cost was 100DKK. I also got a cheese quesadilla for my kid and she ate some. This was also a bit bland. The tortillas are a bit fragile but they were good. The salsa that came with the quesadilla was excellent though. I didn't see any dessert on the menu, but maybe I should have asked since I see ice pops on the website. Since Rosio Sanchez is a pastry chef, I think her desserts would be amazing.

Yelp
These tacos have been lauded as the best tacos outside of Mexico. While I can't really defend that statement since I am not aware of how Mexican tacos taste, I can say that these are the best tacos I've had. All the flavors are exciting and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of tacos in general but these blew me away. Get the cheese taco!!

Yelp
Very disappointing. I wanted to try a popular local place during our trip and, after learning about the origin and pedigree of the founder, was very excited. It's located outside along the southwestern end of Torvehallerne on Vendersgade and has an animated ambience. The servers, though nice, were unable to answer simple questions like what went into the taco/sauces in addition to the main ingredient. We decided to get the combo plate for 100 kr to try all the tacos that were being made that day (queso, huevo, and barbacoa). I gave my name and picked up the food soon after. Queso Fresco (with guacachile, pickled red onion, an avocado wedge, and cilantro) - As soon as I gently picked it up, the masa tortilla broke mid-fold. The queso and avocado tasted fine, but it was overwhelmed by the spice, which didn't meld with the other flavors of the taco. Huevo Ranchero (with a soft fried sunny side-up egg, casera salsa, cracklings, white onion, and cilantro) - Ok. This was the messiest taco to eat since after the yolk burst, there wasn't any other ingredient to semi-hold in the liquid and it dribbled down. Barbacoa (with beer-braised beef, white onion, and cilantro) - The best of the three, solely since it was decidedly the easiest to eat. The meat was fresh, but bland. Sorry Hija, there's better food to be had, especially if you're wandering about Torvehallerne.

Yelp
You go to Torvehallerne. You want to treat you and your friends. Everybody is up for some fancy - like Italian parma ham and wines. Trust me. You'll never get this far. Especially if the wind is blowing in the right direction. The wind carries deliciousness from an awesome place. You and your friends didn't even know that something could smell sooo lovely. Again, trust me. You'll want it when you smell it. Taco. Tacos. Oh yea, pluralis, baby. Order three homemade tacos from Sanchez. Get dirty with some of the chili sauces and clean your mouth with some spicy michelada beer. Euuwuuhh! I'm guessing your not thinking about that fancy parma anymore. You're in for the long haul at Torvehallerne - for the taco.. The tacos. Pluralis. If your friends disagree. Find some new friends. Fact: the smell really does lure you in ;-)

Yelp
Copenhagen is not known for Tacos. Rosio Sanchéz (a fellow Chicago native) is looking to change that. Hija de Sánchez is a great start that many locals I spoke to are excited about. When traveling, I don't normally like getting things I can get in abundance back home, but learning she's a Chicagoan and a Noma alum, i had to check this place out. Positives are the really nice staff, the location within the Torvehallerne market, having Jarritos, and the quality ingredients. As many have mentioned, the price can be a little high for tacos, but when you consider the positives and the current scarcity of taco availability in Copenhagen, I get it. I tried the fish skin taco and it was good, but relatively small and not very filling. Plus I've had much more flavorful homemade tortillas and this one was a bit dry. Though, it looks like they change as some photos show blue corn tortillas. I was not able to try their other creations this trip, but I would return. Kuddos to Rosio and Co for their ambition and for adding another element of diversity to the already terrific Copenhagen food scene.

Yelp
Came on cinco de mayo and was not disappointed. My friends and I were not sure how tacos in Denmark would be but everything we ate was amazing! Hija de Sanchez has probably one of the best al pastor tacos I have ever had. The meat was juicy and spicy and the pineapple salsa really cooled your mouth down. The bean tostada was the star of the show though. It was crunchy and fresh and so tasty! My friends and I sat outside and enjoyed every bite. They also had tecate cans for a good price to go along with the tacos. The tables are under heat lamps too in case you get cold and there was no line at lunch time when we arrived. Don't come here if you don't want to sit outside though as it is just a stand in Torvehallerne market. There is a storefront of vesterbro as well.

Yelp
Alright, so I checked out of the Absalon Hotel and my AirBNB just happens to be closer to this location than the one I went to yesterday, so you know what that means, right? Time for tacos: round 2! I saw a familiar face over that kiosk, which is located in a crowded marketplace but is actually outside. Their tacos of the day were Carnitas, Cod Skin, and Queso Fresco. I had already sampled the queso fresco at the previous location, so I decided on 2 carnitas and 1 codskin. I was not disappointed! They add on a ton of carnitas - it's extremely hearty. The fish cod skin was crispy and flavorful and I added some of their homemade hot sauce and it was killer! This time out I decided to add a side of quesadillas and a hot chocolate, which is essentially a "Chocolate Mexicano." It was instant bliss. Please keep in mind that this location is outdoors and it was cold and windy. They don't light the eating areas but I think that's more to do with whoever owns the actual site and not the vendor. The #2 location I went to yesterday is an actual storefront with indoor/outdoor seating. Don't let there being limited visibility deter you. There was lots of people grubbing and walking about. I'm also aware that I won't find anything that comes close to authentic tacos like the ones in L.A. but this is the next best thing. There are a few other spots around that have tacos and Mexican food but they are of the Tex-Mex variety. I'm not in the mood for that. I'm sure I will visit these locations again before I leave for L.A. #tacos4life

Yelp
Really amazing tacos. Barbacoa (braised beef with chives and Mexican spices) The barbacoa was really tender and delicious. It had a little spice, but nothing serious. Really solid, but a little cold. Fried egg (sunny side egg with chunky tomato salsa) The egg was perfectly cooked and tasted really delicious. The tortilla was super soft and fell apart a bit in your hands. The salsa was also really good. Black bean (black beans, lettuce, onions, avocado, jalapeño, salsa, chili, and oil) This was really terrific. There was sour cream drizzled over the black beans and it added a really nice flavor/coolness. The lettuce was in a very light vinaigrette that made it very refreshing and cool. Really delicious. Combo of the day all three for 100 kr

Yelp
I've been to Hija de Sanchez's Torvehallerne location twice now - once to eat there and once to grab takeaway tortillas. Great visits so far! They import all of their ingredients from Mexico and the tortillas are made right in front of you. The tacos options rotate but they always have one vegetarian option. The tortillas are also GF as are most (and sometimes all) of the toppings. I ordered three tacos (3 stk for 100kr) that came with pork and they were great, but I just wished there were more. I think 4 tacos is a better portion considering how small they are. Otherwise getting some chips and salsa/guacamole would be a good addition to the 3 taco meal. During my first visit I learned they also sell many of their menu items for takeaway. The second time I came back I just bought tortillas to take home for our homemade taco night. I bought 12 homemade tortillas for 50kr, which I think is a steal for Copenhagen. Not to mention they are made right in front of you and were still warm when I got home. They use fresh corn in the dough and you can see specks of it in the tortillas, so great! The woman who sold them to me told me they also sell portions of the tortilla dough if you want to make the tortillas at home yourself. You can buy their cheese and some other menu items as well. They don't list this on their website/social media though so it's just something you have to know I guess. Not sure of the prices for the other items, but will update the post once I learn them. Great place for tacos + takeaway items!

Yelp
Best tortillas in Copenhagen (pretty sure the whole of Denmark). On the menu is 3 different fillings. - Huevo Ranchero; fried egg, pork crackling, salsa, onion, and cilantro - Carnitas; slow cooked pork belly, onion, cilantro, and pasilla salsa - Melted cheese with avocado, cilantro, onion, and salsa 3 tortillas for DKK 100,- or if you'd rather make your own filling, you can also buy freshly made tortillas to bring home with you. I tried 2 carnitas (pork belly) and 1 melted cheese. All of them is toppen with a bit of chili salsa, but if you need more just ask. The meat was nice and tender, with a citrus twist that made the tortillas nice and fresh. The melted cheese w/ avocado (vegan) was good, but I preferable meat or fish on my tortilla. 2x thumbs up from me. At last I've found a place to get homemade, tasty tortillas.
google avatar

Josh M.

Yelp
Just like great pizza starts with a great crust, great tacos start with great tortillas. Hija de Sánchez's tortillas are fantastic. They are rocking una maquina tortilladora de Lenin and using Oaxacan corn which basically means every other taquería in town is bringing a knife to the "authenticity" gun fight. The menu changes daily but at least one of the taco standards afficionados will recognize, carnitas, lengua, or pastor is ususally available. But it is their tacos that take you out of the comfort zone, hinting at the real diversity of Mexico's flavors that make Hija de Sánchez great. Huevo and chicharrón. Quesillo (made from local organic milk) and chapulines--grasshoppers and cheese! Plus a CPH-ified beer cocktail, the Mikkelada and Mexican coke.
google avatar

Natasha F.

Yelp
Waaaayyyy overpriced for what it is. We had two taco specials (3 tacos - whole fried egg, cheese and barbacoa), quesadilla and chips and salsa with two beers and spent $70 (U.S.). Crazy. And it's nothing special outside of handmade tortillas. Come one, you put a whole fried egg with some cilantro and salsa or some cheese crumbles and think you can charge that much for tacos? This is my second time here (visiting from California) and I was completely underwhelmed this time. The first time, the menu had more options and the dishes were more flavorful. On top of it the staff has no personality and was borderline rude when I walked up to the wrong side to order. Look for other options that are worth your money.
google avatar

Antesa J.

Yelp
Well. The universe has finally answered my prayers. I'm pretty sure Hija de Sánchez has the most authentic tacos in Copenhagen. And maybe also outside of Mexico, but I'm not really prepared to start that argument and follow it up with any sort of substantial proof. The price is a bit steep for tacos, not gonna lie. But I got the 3 for 100kr special and all three were absolutely divine in their own special way (complete with the part where bits and pieces can't be contained by the perfect taco 'shell' - it's soft, unlike the hard stale tacos Danes thought were the Real Deal - and fall out, to be retrieved, and savored, later), so I don't exactly regret spending the money. They get pretty regular visits from Noma chefs to guest dress tacos also, so this is kind of like the best matchmaking foodgasm that could possibly exist in my world.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
For any foodie visiting Copenhagen, attempting to get into Noma is probably the first thing on their checklist. Although we weren't able to get a seat, checking out Hija de Sanchez was as close as we could get - and boy, was it worth it. You may ask yourself, "What could be so special about a taco stand?", but let me assure you, this is no ordinary taco stand. It's already special because its location in the Torvehallerne food hall is any foodie's dream (so many delicious food stalls!!), but having Noma's ex-pastry chef at the helm means tacos of the highest pedigree. I loved watching her and her team prep - they were smiling and laughing the whole time. You could tell they really loved their jobs. We were lucky to visit on a day with guest chef Matt Orlando, who is also ex-Noma (and current head chef of Amass, another highly recommended restaurant in Copenhagen), who served up the best fish taco I've ever had. The fish was perfectly fried, and despite a somewhat runny salsa, the tortilla didn't break! The tortilla is also great for another reason - it's made totally in-house, and they even sell the masa for you to take home. The price was a tad high (75kr for 2 tacos), but these tacos are WORTH IT. Overall a great experience - definitely worth a visit if you are at Torvehallerne. It's situated outside and in between the two food halls. Get there early to avoid the line that inevitably forms once they open!

Yelp
The dearth of awesome Mexican in Copenhagen has ended. Rosio Sanchez formerly of Noma has with the support of said former employer has moved out to provide her Mexican goodness. Mole, Carnitas and Crispy fish skin tacos with handmade tortillas are excellent. Horchata and boozy paletas also make for great taco partners. If Torvehallerne wasnt awesome already, it's even better now....
google avatar

Stephen H.

Yelp
These delicious tacos are located in a kiosk just outside the Torvehallerne and while they are delicious, they are the most expensive tacos I've had, but not by too much. Americans like myself are used to the phenomenon of "Taco Tuesday" where we can get average tacos for around 50 cents to 1 dollar each, and even excellent tacos from locals of Mexico won't run more than $2 USD each. But in Europe tacos are "exotic foreign food" and even when you get a great "deal" like the "combo of the day" here, in which you get 3 tacos for 100kr, that's still more than $5 USD per taco. Were they $5 tacos? No. Were they quite good for being not far from the Arctic Circle, which is nowhere near Mexico? Yes. So if you feel that tug towards a taco and are close by, give in.
google avatar

Ezgi I.

Yelp
This could have been 4, or even 5, stars if they had more options. Every day they choose three tacos from their menu to offer, so it is very limited. The tacos were small and mediocre tasting, but not anything special. We also got the salsa and chips, which were also average. In all - if you're looking for a quick food truck taco, this is a good bet. If you're looking for amazing tacos in Copenhagen (as is the reputation), keep looking.
google avatar

Dennis J.

Yelp
Solid (but expensive) taco stand. We stopped by on an afternoon and had the breakfast tacos, which included an avocado taco, egg taco, and cheese quesadilla. The tortilla soft shells were really soft and moist, and the sauce that accompanied the ingredients had a nice kick. It was unfortunate that on the Sunday we went, this was the only item they had on the menu, and it's a bit pricey. I think for non-Scandinavian food in the area, it would be hard for you to go wrong by eating the food here and the high quality ingredients.

Yelp
Best tacos I have tried in Copenhagen! So excited to see more places pop up in Copenhagen that serve Mexican food. When I saw Hija de Sánchez start popping up everywhere on my Instagram feed, I have to admit I was probably a little too excited. Having lived previously in California I really miss having access to so much Mexican food, especially tacos so my expectations for this place were very high and man did they not disappoint! I ordered their 3 taco combo which for this specific day were lengua, huevos rancheros, fresh cheese & avocado. Each were PHENOMENAL! I have nothing negative to say about any of them. They were all way too delicious, and now I already crave more. I did put some of their salsa from the bar onto my tacos without tasting it first and AHHH so spicy! So be careful. I have a pretty high tolerance to spice, but man it was spicy, at least the day I ate there. No sign warned me of it being spicy, so put it on your taco at your own risk :P
google avatar

Lo B.

Yelp
The ambience and people here are great and welcoming. However, the food was just ok for me. I'm from Texas and I have lived in Southern California so I wasn't expecting to be blown away. Admittedly I do eat a vegetarian diet on most days so my options were limited. I had the quesadilla and rice & beans which were just ok at best. My friend had carnitas tacos I believe which she enjoyed. We agreed that we've had better but I'm glad I got to try it out. The margaritas were delicious though!
google avatar

Vicky P.

Yelp
This place is decent, but coming from Southern California I'm probably a little harsher since I don't think this would live up to a 4 rating back home. They're very simple meat was tasty, but the tortilla was thick and cold. The beef and pork came on soft shells and the bean veggie one came on a hard shell. The chips for the chips n salsa were kinda overcooked.
google avatar

Suzanne P.

Yelp
If you ever find yourself in Copenhagen, 1. Consider yourself quite lucky - Copenhagen is lovely and delightful and charming and all of those adjectives like "amazing" that describe something in an extremely positive light. And 2. Go here for tacos! Anthony Bourdain recommends this place, and I've learned that when he says do something, you do it: no questions asked. Even when the question could be - why did Noma's pastry chef leave to open a stand and bring street tacos to Copenhagen? The carnitas tacos were perfect. Think more pork belly than carnitas, though. They were savory and salty and just an amazing presentation of a street taco done right. We also got the chips which came with a salsa verde that even my cilantro-hating self was so down with. Skip the cheese taco. I know why it exists (vegetarians) but if you're at all meat-friendly, go down that route. Sat outside under heat lamps for a perfect early winter dinner!

Carol C.

Yelp
We are from Texas and were on holiday in Copenhagen. Being from Texas we are experts on Tacos. Texas has more Tex Mex and Taquerias than anywhere I would guess so we have had a lot of tacos in our day. We loved this place. We tried all the tacos and the beans and rice and they were fabulous. We were surprised because we really only visited it on a lark but found it to be authentic and WOW so good. One of our favorite meals from our trip to Scandinavia. In fact, we went back a second time while there. AND better yet - the margaritas were fabulous too!!!!!!. Good people. You got to try this place.
google avatar

Malthe J.

Yelp
Hija de Sanchez is a Mexican-fusion taquería. They only serve three different tacos, changing every day. Some of the tacos are very close to traditional Mexican tacos like the taco with carnitas. However, the fusion comes in when you consider the taco with fried cod skin - something I've never seen before. The cod skin taco was interesting, but not great. I do prefer the more traditional tacos from Yuca Taco, but appreciate the effort to try and create something new and different. 100 kr. for three tacos is overpriced, but not different from the rest of the tacos spots in Copenhagen.
google avatar

Mina S.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. Forget the fact that the woman who runs this place used to work at noma; you can watch her work in this stall and see that she pays close attention to every aspect of the meal from rolling out and grilling tortillas to plating the tacos. It is easy to see that Rosio cares deeply for this food and puts her heart into it. Even though there is always a line and everybody in there is busy, she is always smiling and ready to chat with someone while working hard. As for the food, so far I have tried the chicken mole, fried cod skin, carnitas, and avocado cheese tacos and they have all been flawless. My favourite is probably carnitas but I am happy to taste whatever comes out of this kitchen. They also have Cholula, Tapatio, and Valentina hot sauces at your disposal, as well as some nice pickles. Don't forget to grab plenty of napkins! P.S. You can buy corn tortillas here!
google avatar

Opal T.

Yelp
Considering I heard about Hija in Texas, I had to go on my next trip to Copenhagen. So I did. I can fairly say this was the first time I had ever eaten tacos on a picnic table that was iced over. But that's just Denmark for you. Oh, and the Al Pastor, better than any I've ever had... in Denmark, America, or Mexico.
google avatar

Anna W.

Yelp
If you're ever at Toverhallerne, you cannot miss this! I have been there enough times to try most of their tacos, as they serve 3 kinds a day, and my favorite so far are the pastor (pork) and carnitas (pork belly). Cooked to perfection with freshly made tortilla shell, top it up with some extra spicy habanero and you got yourself a kickass lunch.

Lauren C.

Yelp
Believe the hype. Really. Even before Hija de Sánchez opened in Torvehallerne, it was already inundated with hype. Being the former pastry chef to one of the most famous restaurants in the world, Noma, will do that. I planned on being very critical due to all of the attention but Hija de Sánchez definitely lives up to the high expectations. I tried the 3 tacos they had for the day. The avocado cheese, cod skin chicharon, and the carnitas. All three were bursting with flavor but the carnitas was amazing. I absolutely love carnitas, I usually get it whenever I see it on the menu at any Mexican place but Rosio's were out of this world, truly. Took me directly back to some of the best carnitas I've had in Southern California, but these even trumped those! How can you not love Oaxacan corn tortillas made fresh on the SPOT and they even had my all time favorite hot sauce, Tapatío, to top off your tacos with some extra spiciness. Just go. Wait in the long line and eat your heart out.

Yelp
Finally, a taco stand in Torvehallen. Copenhagen, you're almost completing your transformation! I wouldn't have dreamt about this when I moved here in 2006 where the restaurants were mostly kebabs and pizzeria managed by people other than real Italians and where supermarkets closed at 6pm and the weekends. I love Hija de Sanchez' taco. It's a different kind from the ones Yuca Taco sells. Posh, perhaps? Whatever, it's good. The carnitas ones are divine while the others are also amazing. It's definitely worth the queue (to be fair if it was Mina K who was queueing, while I was just waiting for the food :P) but it was worth it. Now Torvehallen excites me even more - the perfect hangout place for foodies in Copenhagen

Yelp
Excellent tacos and good service, this is a great option at the market. Try the taco sampler.

Yelp
Im somewhere between loving it and A Okay. The food is great but it seems kind of expensive compared when lokking af the serving size. I ordered the three tortillas with different filling and all of them were delicious and exciting. The portion were snack sized and 100 dkr is kind of expensive for a snack on a paper plate with no service. The taste could easily drag me back but not for a serious meal

Yelp
A taqueria in Copenhagen?! This Californian had to try it after it was written-up in the NY Times, Bona Appetit, and owned by a former Noma pastry chef. Although a little pricey, they have tasty tacos (we had the lengua and carnitas), and the tortillas are one of the best I've had.

Yelp
Way overpriced and a bit underwhelming in terms of taste. $7 for a small taco! We purchased 8 tacos and 2 beers and it came to $100! We saw a couple of mexican ladies cooking in the truck so got excited about the potential taste but were disappointed. Most definitely not worth it. I certainly won't be going back.

Yelp
Are you kidding me? I had to laugh when I saw the tiny amount of actual food on the 3 tacos I ordered. 100 DKK? I don't mind paying for good food, but this is as unreasonable as it gets. I was surprised by the dry tortilla, but even more surprised by the bland filling it contained. Although maybe I never got a chance to taste it properly as the 10 grams of meat seemed to evaporate in open space before my brain had a chance to register what was happening in my mouth. Seriously, the tortilla is big, why not fill it up some more? To make things somewhat positive, being a fan of anything crispy, I did enjoy the fish skin taco. I would have preferred it served on the side, though, as a snack and not in a tortilla, since things get a little too dry otherwise. My recommendation is to back away five steps from this truck and get juicy, flavorful tacos from Yuca Taco or walk all the way to Barburrito for best tacos in town.

Yelp
I saw a documentary about danish food in Copenhagen. The mexican food was very much praised so I decided to give them a try - but I was a bit disappointed - the portions are rather small. The service however was nice friendly staff and attentive service.

Yelp
You know when you just feel that everything is perfect and you don't miss anything in the flavours. That is what you get here when you order tacos. Super salsas with both heat and fruitiness. I will dream of these tacos until next time :)

Yelp
We are from the US and are currently living in London. As such we have yet to find good Mexican food on par with the Mexican in the US. In reading the restaurant's website, we saw that the owner was from Chicago, and as such we had high hopes we would taste decent Mexican in Europe. However we were disappointed. The tacos themselves tasted pretty good. Our favorite was the fish taco. Only compliant here was that we felt the tacos were over-priced. We also ordered the rice and beans and here is where the food fell short of our expectation. The sauce that came with the rice tasted as if it was a canned tomato sauce (e.g. SpaghettiOs or Del Monte's). The beans did not quite have the refried texture we were accustomed to. These two dish were definitely not worth what we paid for.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place no stars but I can't. Most hype for the worst tacos I've ever eaten. For someone who's worked under one of the greatest chefs of our time, this is embarrassing. Your tacos embarrassed me in front of my family. Cold, bland and expensive AF. Doesn't get much worse than that. Save your 44$ and go eat somewhere else. Please.

Yelp
Had two of the three offerings for lunch. The fried egg taco was exceptional! The yolk was barely cooked and the flavors melded into something really special. The bean tostada was very good but not extra special. The vibe at this truck is professional chef meets laid back fun. Enjoyed eating outside in the cold.

Yelp
I was really sad when my favorite Mexican place Tacos Chilangos closed, but I can now call Hija de Sanchez my new home away from home. I had to go back twice in 1 day for the mole tacos, and I appreciate all the guest chefs she has. Although her menu isn't big, with al the guest chefs and constantly changing menu, she gives you more than enough reason to stop by a few times a week.
