Hildibrand Hotel

The hotel is kinda ok for a night, the beds are very comfortable - that's the actual best in this hotel. Unfortunately no views, just the back parkinglot on ground floor, which is a bit annoying since everyone walks past the room. The rooms aren't soundproof at all, you hear every word that people talk to each other. Bring your earplugs! There are not enough electrical outlets (some did not even work, some were just a cable looking out of the wall). The fridge makes noise at night, too (but you can easily unplug it). Extreme noise from the metal stairs outside, you hear every step if someone walks up and down, which is the most annoying, you can even feel the vibration. This is probably the best option in this little town so it is ok for a night, would not stay two.

To great venues. Icelandic prices are a bit of a shock but the wonderful manager of the hotel was helpful and thoughtful in looking after 3 sailors from the UK exploring the East and hopefully North Coasts.

Huge rooms which was unexpected as pictures don’t look like that big. Overall clean and great view. Lovely girl/lady at the reception who was very kind and informative. Only annoying thing was had to go to the cliff hotel for breakfast, however the breakfast was worth the trip so no issues and not much parking.

We needed a hotel with a kitchen in the east coast of Iceland. We found this hotel which offers suites with full kitchen. It was really a wonderful stay. Clean well decorated and modern suites with a nice view of the bay. Staff was friendly. Checking and checkout was easy and painless. Located in a nice quiet town .

The apartment was very spacious and very well equipped. It looked over the fjords from the balcony. The entrance is at the back of the building and you take your keys from the bar below the hotel which opens from the fjord side.The only issue was lack of noise insulation in the windows, and there is a bit of construction work happening so you would feel that people were in your rooms in the morning. Right across the street there is a grocery store that opens 7 days a week

We had a spacious apartment with a very well equipped kitchen - and most importantly a beautiful view of the sea. The bathroom was a bit old, but everything worked well. |The pool that can be visited for free is just a few steps awayalso has an excellent view. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and service oriented. We definitely recommend to stay here and to take the opportunity to have a walk along the beautiful coast (start is at the end of the village).
