Hill Street Grocer West Hobart

Perfect grocery store with exceptional service. We stopped here while on vacation in Tasmania to stock up on groceries ahead of going out to the countryside - we were delighted to find such quality groceries, only wish we had Hill Street back in the US! On top of an incredible produce/cheese/wine selection, service was also amazing.

This store was my go-to when I lived in West Hobart, and I cannot express how much I miss the service and atmosphere since moving. Maria is genuine, so friendly, and provides amazing customer service. The selection of grocery and food is always interesting, the store neat, and the deli is fantastic. I try to visit as often as I can.

One of the most extensive gourmet supermarkets I have ever been into. Beautiful produce & excellent service. Very busy place but it is very easy to see why. Exceptional experience.

A wonderful fresh food market with so much 'more' to offer. The range and quality of food and drinks is outstanding. The selection of cheeses and chocolates makes our journey from the others of Hobart worthwhile. Hill Street also provides and delivers flowers, hampers and other gifts. Our overseas family regularly use Hill Street to commemorate special occasions and avoids wasting money on postage costs. There is a brilliant selection of quality hampers.

Really good small supermarket with great fresh produce and deli counter. Also sells local wife and beers. Had a huge range of local and imported cheeses. A bit on the pricey side though.

For a foodie like me this place is an absolute disaster- in a good way. Excellent range.of the stuff I want to enable me to cook how I want. Cheese room is extremely dangerous in a good way. Produce is obviously fresh and they have a killer deli.

Great natural gourmet grocer. They partner with all the best independent makers - so you can just make it a one stop shop! Loved the deli/bakery - huge piece of baklava! The smoked Tasmanian trout - excellent! The largest variety of micro greens we have seen on this trip - perfect topper on everything we eat. Yummy local breads - every kind you can think of. The service is so kind and warm. It's a tight store but neatly organized and will have every grocery item you would fancy! They also have a home goods and floral store attached

Hill Street Grocer has moved up the hill from their original location in order to branch out and get a whole lot bigger. This doesn't mean the old narrow aisles are any easier to traverse, it just means there are now a lot more of them. There's a lot more of everything, though. The deli counter is bigger. The fresh produce is bigger. The cheese section is enormous. There's a homewares section. There's a bloody florist. Welcome to Hill Street. Go in for one thing, come out $50 poorer.
