We are new campers and have only been to few camping grounds. We all agree It is down hill from here after having visited Hillerød camping!! The services offered, the cleanliness, the public spaces/seating, access to power, showers+toilets and water and the HYGGE factor are superb!! If you’re here to relax it is perfect. If you’re here for nearby sight seeing it is perfect. Everything need has been thought through. I never thought I’d enjoy doing our dishes by candlelight while the kids are enjoying the trampolines. The showers are clean and if you have little ones there are practical handheld shower heads. There is a short walk to busses that go to the train station and from there you can hop on the S-train to downtown Copenhagen. The camp ground is pretty much in mid town Hillerød close to shopping, groceries and restaurants however you do not feel the vicinity of the city. It is a beautiful and quiet green space with beautiful plants and mature trees. It was an absolutely enjoyable experience!Just don’t forget to reserve your spot because it is a popular campground.

Amazing site within walking distance of the town and castle. There's cycling routes to nearby towns and attractions and the train station is a short walk for trains to Copenhagen and the Danish riviera. The site and facilities are exceptional and the owners go out of their way to ensure your satisfaction.

It was such a lovely, clean and well maintained camping at Hillerød. We loved it and can recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Copenhagen as there is just a small walk to the trainstation and will lead you into the center easily in half an hour. At night they have all these lovely romantic lights hanging everywhere. And our dogs were very welcome ❤️ We will definitely come back again!

This campsite is up there on my small list of “god tier” campsites. We stayed during a campervan tour of Denmark: young (early 40s - young for campervanning, anyway!) couple with a dog, in a VW California. Check in was really helpful - we were given maps of hillerød, Copenhagen and had some help with which train tickets to buy, even a vet recommendation for the dog’s tapeworm treatment. The campsite is immaculate - it feels like you are staying in a well-kept garden centre. Facilities are great too - was sceptical of taking shoes off in the bathroom but it does make everything cleaner and nicer. Hillerød itself is easily accessible - there is a Føtex that’s a five minute walk; the town centre and the castle about ten minutes; and the station with regular trains to Copenhagen about 15-20 minutes. We actually liked Hillerød a lot and spent more time in the town than commuting to Copenhagen - it felt more like a holiday than Copenhagen did. There’s not a lot to fault here and it’s well worth a few nights if you’re in the area on its own merits, not just as somewhere that’s a base for trips to the capital.

This is a dream of a camping site: full of plants and flowers like in a garden, thought through facilities like a community kitchen and an outdoor shower, and the hosts Annette and Taco are champions in making everyone feel welcome. Also there are the probably cleanest sanitary facilities I have ever seen on a campsite. Great idea to keep shoes outside the toilets and showers, it makes a big difference! Everything is curated with love and attention to detail that as a guest you feel very motivated in helping to keep everything clean and tidy. We will definitely come back!

The best Camping I have been by far. No detail is missing. Extreme cleanliness everywhere. Free shower. Huge kitchen (4 hotplates and oven) and living room (TV), garden furniture and flowers everywhere. Flat lawn squares. Super friendly and attentive staff. Perfect atmosphere.
