Hillstone Lodge

We stayed at Hillstone Lodge during a recent trip to Skye, and it was absolutely a highlight of our trip. The location and views are perfect. Bertie & Jana were so helpful and created such a great experience that I highly recommend staying here. They provided great local recommendations and the breakfast each morning was amazing. We're excited to plan a trip to Skye again in the near future and wouldn't consider staying anywhere except Hillstone Lodge. Thanks again for a great experience!

One of the true highlights of Isle of Skye and our Scotland journey. Bertie and Jana, the young couple and owners of this modern 3 bedroom bed and breakfast, were gracious and professional. Every detail that you can imagine was perfected beautifully. Big windows for a beautiful view from the bedroom, living room, breakfast room, stunning atmosphere, picture perfect landscape from every angle including sheep that come up to the house to greet you. Bertie is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in enhancing your itinerary and what to do around Isle of Skye. The Hillstone Lodge is close to Neist Point Lighthouse, Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, (seal trip a must!) , Coral Beach, and Talisker Distillery. |Jana’s breakfasts were 5 star, absolutely delicious, with a nice selection. The presentation and personalized service of the breakfast at the table by Bertie was first class. The viewpoint from breakfast was spectacular. We had Room #3 with sliding glass doors that opened up to a private sitting deck. Large bedroom and very large bathroom that were very functional. 2 sinks, large counter space, nice size shower with great water pressure, including beautifully scented soap and shampoo. Even the bathroom window had an incredible view. |Two restaurant recommendations: The Old School, The Dunvegan Fire Grill (5 course meal) |When booking a trip to Isle of Skye and Scotland, this is an absolute must. It will enhance your vacation and be one of your highlights of your trip with wonderful memories. Minimum 2 - 3 days.

Hillstone Lodge is a dream place that every traveler wishes to find.|First of all the beauty of the location isolated and peaceful. The landscape around the lodge is absolutely magical.|But the most important was the warm welcome of our charming hosts, Jana and Bertie. During our stay they were always so very nice, helpful and attentive.|The entire lodge is immaculate and stylish. The room is cozy, the bed super confortable. And what a view!!!|Thank you Bertie for your tips and advices. It allowed us to discover beautiful places on Skye.|Thank you Jana for the delicious breakfast and afternoon cookies.|It was really the highlight of our trip and we are looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful room and exceptional service. |Birtie and Jana really went extra miles to ensure our short stay as comfortable as possible. The house was absolutely well maintained, super clean and we had everything we needed to feel at home. Jana is an amazing cook. Breakfast was the nicest we have had during our 2 weeks Scotland trip. ||Moreover, they were such a kind couple. We had the greatest pleasure to be accompanied by birds, a mother sheep who had been a regular guest in their garden, and even a little baby rabbit (which we named Bobby..) during breakfast time and when we went back after a day out exploring the beautiful isle. ||I would recommend Birtie and Jana's lovely home to anyone who wishes to vist Isle of Skye.

If you visit the Isle of Skye you should stay at Hillstone Lodge. The location and views are amazing. Rooms are modern, big and clean. Bertie & Jana are the perfect hosts. They were so helpful and lovely. Their recommendations what to do on the Isle made our first visit of the Isle unique. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and delicious.

Wow! What a wonderful place to stay! We spent 3 nights at the Hillstone Lodge and it was one of the best lodging experiences we have ever had. The location is wonderful. The views from our bedroom and from the lounge and breakfast rooms are strikingly beautiful. Travel to restaurants, tourist locations, and hikes is as convenient as it can be on Skye. The hosts, Bertie and Jana are very friendly, kind, and considerate. Bertie is a wonderful source of information on all things Skye. Jana’s breakfasts were delicious and quite generous. The lodge is beautiful, nicely laid out with exquisite interior decoration. Our bedroom and the bathroom were luxurious and very, very clean. All in all, staying at the Hillstone Lodge was one of the high points of our trip to Scotland.

Hillstone Lodge is a wonderful bed and breakfast, perfect for couples to enjoy a romantic vacation on Scotland's most idyllic isle! The proprietors, Bertie and Jana, bring their extensive hotel experience to make a comfortable and hospitable stay. The highlight of every day for us was breakfast service. Bertie and Jana took extra care to ensure our meal was as delicious and relaxed as possible, complete with fine tableware and locally sourced ingredients. The rooms are equally enjoyable, with high ceilings and a beautiful view of the loch! I highly recommend Hillstone Lodge to any couple visiting Skye!

We had a fabulous weekend at Hillstone Lodge which we booked due to its proximity to 3 Chimneys Restaurant. From the moment we arrived the hospitality was superb and everything about our stay was faultless. We loved the wonderful views from our bedroom and the relaxing guest lounge and had two very enjoyable breakfasts. Bertie and Jana did their upmost to make our stay a pleasurable one including helpful daily tips on weather, tide times and places to visit.
