Hilltop's Creekside Cafe

We dropped in this place for supper towards the beginning of August. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was "all you can eat fish" night. There were 5 of us total (2 adults and 3 kids). 3 of us got the special and the other two got items from the children's menu. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly and went out of her way to make sure that we felt welcomed at the restaurant. The food was delicious, the portions were generous and it ended up being just a real pleasant experience for our family. After our meal, the waitress gave our kids pennies to make a wish and throw into the creek next to the restaurant. It was just a really fun time for all of us. Unfortunately, we live in Missouri and were passing through Michigan coming back from vacation so I'll have to make sure to stop in next time we're up in that area.

Paula is our favorite server 02/01/26 Every time we come in to get breakfast she makes it a point to interact with our daughter. We always get her fruit or fruit cups when we go out to eat and Paula always asks what fruit she’s wanting for the day and makes it happen. 10/10 service from her great local spot

Favourable ambience as most of seating was near to each other. Delicious seafood dishes. Though the white fish was little saggy. Over giving it long they should cut into pieces and cook. Sweet potato fries quantity is good, two can eat in one. Prices are reasonable. Service was good.

This was our first time visiting Hilltop's Creekside Cafe, though we had visited Hilltop at it's previous location a few times. The food is excellent and came out quick. They are very friendly and welcoming. It has that small charming cafe vibe. The only complaint is we asked for a well done burger and it definitely was not. If it was mine I wouldn't have been able to eat it but the person who ordered it was okay with the pink. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Definitely recommend and would eat here again.

I've eaten here twice now and both times we're enjoyable. It's your standard small town diner with good food and friendly service. The most recent time I had the Meat Lovers Skillet. For whatever reason, the breakfast skillets are only available Monday through Friday, which is too bad for weekend patrons, because it was delicious. My girlfriend had a standard breakfast of eggs, bacon and hash browns. The bacon was great, cooked just right.

I stumbled upon this place and it is awesome! The staff was on it, and the food tasted amazing! It was down to earth and very clean! I would say if you are around this place and want great service with good mood food you'll want to give this place a chance!

My husband and grandkiddos came for fish last night. I got the half fried/half broiled combo. Although both were good, I LOVED the broiled!!! In fact it was so good we decided to come for a late breakfast today. I had the mushroom, onion, Swiss omelette and it was LOADED! One thing that I thought was great was the bagged tableware! My husband was impressed they had French vanilla creamer (when asked). Super friendly, inviting atmosphere!

I was hungry, its a rural area. Asked a couple locals for a restaurant and got directed to this place. When i pulled up, there were like 2 cars in the parking lot at noon. Not a good sign. The place just looked dreay from the outside, door hanging half shut. My expectations were low from first impressions. Talk about being the opposite! The food was amazing, it was fast, servers were friendly. We're talking, that place was amazing, I've GOT to come back next time I'm in the area. It was a simple club, but on steriods. It was huge, plentifully filled with bacon and turkey. On the specials is something called a Thanksgiving pizza. I'm intrigued. Got a boston cream bomb for dessert that was absolutely delicious. If ever in SW michigan, check out this little gem. You won't be disappointed! Don't let the first impressions scare you. Trust me on this. I travel the country, and this is definitely in the top 10 for the entire nation.

Great breakfast spot! Great service and a good selection of typical American breakfast food. Recommend the egg mess! Start with 1 egg! I can eat pretty good but a two egg mess is a lot! Also the side order of fruit was like a family sized fruit salad! Huge serving of very fresh fruit To top it all off, very reasonable prices. We came in with 9 people and the sat, served and took care of all of us very quickly!

Stopped in for breakfast/lunch. Whatever looked good. Seat yourself. It was not busy. Our server brought menus promptly and took our drink order. We both ordered breakfast. Getting here was an adventure with all the road work being done. Typical hometown cafe. My eggs were perfect and the bacon was crispy as requested. Oldies music playing and a friendly atmosphere. We will enjoy this cafe every time we make a trip to Lowery's meats.

The food is fantastic. The service we had was excellent. They make all their customers feel special. If your order isn't right they will make it right. What a wonderful and pleasant place to go to eat a wonderful meal. The prices are good and not going to break the bank. I can't say enough how well we love this small town business.

The cream of mushroom soup was the best I've had! I also enjoyed the hot turkey sandwich very much; delicious gravy, tender stack of sliced roast turkey breast with really good mashed potatoes. It is a full meal. My husband got the fish and chips, which he said was very good; crunchy outside and flaky inside, nicely seasoned. They also offer some baked goods and coffees. Looked like a great menu. We were there at lunchtime and got the last available seats. The service was friendly and attentive in spite of the rush. We liked the hometown atmosphere, and will definitely return (next time, I'll remember to take pictures before diving in.)
