Five stars for the luxury, the animals, family-friendly atmosphere and the lovely people.
We stayed in the Safari Tent (Cub) with our two kids for a glamping experience, and it was such a treat, our kids didn’t want to leave. The place felt very safe. When we arrived, the heater had already been turned on so the tent was warm and welcoming — thank you to the managers for that thoughtful touch.
The tent was spotless and perfect. It honestly looked even better in real life than in the photos. It’s got that perfect mix of modern comforts inside and safari-style charm outside. The beds were very comfy, and the kids’ little oasis area was perfect.
They provide a generous breakfast spread — cereal, milk, eggs, bacon, bread, jam, butter — and the BBQ was easy to use we cooked eggs, bbq and even toasted breads in it. You can see some trucks from the M5 in the distance, but it’s surprisingly not loud or disruptive at all. The sounds of birds chirping in the morning woke us up everyday which was so nice.
The animal feeding experience was an absolute highlight. The animals were sweet, friendly, and clearly well cared for. Donna, the manager, was amazing with the kids — so warm and clearly passionate about what she does. Our kids loved every animal especially Jellybean, Sutti and Henrietta.
Ruth, the owner, was great to communicate with. We needed to change our dates and she sorted it out right away. We also asked for extra blankets prior to arrival as I expressed that I was worried it would be freezing (stayed during winter with slight chance of rain) and they provided everything without fuss. They even had two heaters and plenty of warmers available, but honestly, the AC heater was more than enough :)
Would absolutely recommend — it was everything we hoped for and more. We hope to make this an annual trip and come back with family friends :)
