Hillview Farmstay

My family of five loved our 2 nights at the Hillview Farmstay! Our tent (the Glamping Safari Tent (Cub)) was very clean and had plenty of room for 5 of us. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching and listening to the goats, cows and sheep, as well as the birdsong. Sunset over the farm was something to behold. And the extremely clean pool was very refreshing on the hot days. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we highly recommend!

Beautiful, peaceful farm stay with stunning surroundings. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. It felt like a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. We loved experiencing farm life and spending time around the animals — such a relaxing escape from everyday life. A great bonus is that it’s dog-friendly as well. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to unwind and reconnect with nature. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning.

The location was nice and quiet. Had a swimming pool which was great for the hot day we were there. Cabin was clean and had everything you needed. BBQ was great for cooking outside on a nice covered deck. Check-in was easy as they had the place unlocked ready for us. The atmosphere was typical of a farm stay, very pretty landscape and really cool and cute animals. Was good value for two couples sharing the cabin.

Tidy place with views over the farm. We were able to see the cows and goats in the morning and evening from the deck along with a myriad of birds. Our son (21months) thoroughly enjoyed feeding and petting the animals in the morning as well as playing with the balls on the court. He loved riding his bike up and down the dirt road and eating the mulberries. This is the second time we have stayed and we loved it as much as the first time. Highly recommend and will continue to stay here on future trips.

Cottage was beautifully presented and clean. Very thoughtful to have the air conditioning on for our arrival with the heat outside at 36 degrees Celsius. Was a very pleasant and welcome surprise. Had all breakfast essentials and more I.e bacon, eggs and a loaf of bread in the fridge ready. Would highly recommend this accomodation.

We had a wonderful stay at Hillview. Donna and her partner were warm and welcoming, the rooms spotless, and the location was perfect for our family. Everything felt well thought out and comfortable. The only challenge was the bathroom in the one bedroom cottage, which was a little too small for our family’s needs, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The service and openness of the farm more than made up for it, and we’d definitely stay here again. Very child friendly including all the animals. Breakfast included was great and convenient. Plenty to do and explore. Must do: Visit in September - you’ll see baby goats or summer so you can make use of all amenities. Spend more than 2 nights to make the most of the stay. Great pet friendly accommodation. Cabins on a working farm. Beautiful views and very peaceful. Stayed in single bedroom cabin. Very clean and comfortable. The bedroom had a king size bed and it was so comfortable, no problems with a good sleep. Well appointed ensuite bathroom with good quality amenities. |Full size kitchen with microwave and ceramic cooktop. Good size fridge/freezer stocked with bacon, eggs, bread and real butter. Milk and condiments provided as well. Nice verandah with table and chairs to enjoy an evening wine on. We even had a cute small lizard we named Harry greet us on arrival. Donna was available to answer any questions and was so friendly and helpful. We stayed with our small parrot and would definitely stay again. Definitely great for children, with a pool and tennis courts and the availability to join Donna in the morning to help feed the goats and other animals.

My dog and I had a great stay at Hillview Farmstay. We were lucky enough to stay at the Dome, which overlooked beautiful farmlands. The room was cozy and warm with electric blanket and reverse cycle heater. The bathrooms were tidy, the owners even left bacon and eggs in the fridge for breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed the sunset upon arrival and the air was nice and fresh. We took a stroll in the morning around the property and my dog had a great time sniffing everything! Thank you for your hospitality, everything was super easy and done well. Will recommend and stay again!
