Absolutely wonderful experience. The lovely lady and her husband running it are fantastic people. So kind and patient during the animal feeding and happy to have a chat. The place was clean, safe, easily accessible, comfortable and had everything you'll need for a good night's stay. Very generous with the breakfast too. Really really nice. If I were you I wouldn't think twice about booking here.

We had an incredible stay at Hillview Farmstay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The experience of feeding the animals was so much fun, especially interacting with the friendly horses, goats and chickens. The BBQ in front of our dome tent is so convenient and great for the meat packs that you can order. We had a great time cooking and dining while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The sunsets and sunrises here are breathtaking, painting the sky in stunning colours. At night, we had the unique experience of stargazing from a cozy dome tent – a truly magical way to connect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere and the chance to unwind in such a serene environment made this stay unforgettable. Thank you to Pierre and Ruth for the incredible experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil, nature-filled escape!

The perfect stop on a road trip but a destination in its own right! There is just so much to enjoy here! We stayed in the Lion tent and what an adventure the kids had! The perfect set up for larger families with bunks and a “cubby” bed area which my two shared (although would also be good for adults as it was two single beds) in addition to the main bed. Arriving on a hot day, we immediately went for a dip in the refreshing pool which had ledges and a shallow end for the kids. Whilst we didn’t play, we saw a great tennis court and games in the communal area. Everything has been considered from delicious breakfast provisions to air conditioning. The small inclusions like oil for the BBQ, salt and pepper and toast spreads were a great and appreciated touch. You can even arrange for your BBQ meat and beer/wine to be available on arrival which makes for a carefree experience. But what really was a standout was Donna! The kids were so encouraged by her friendly nature to join in the animal feeding experience (even my shy little one) and to pat the animals. Donna even let us know where they were taking the horses for their ride in the evening so the kids could watch them ride off into the sunset, very thoughtful. The kids have talked about it non-stop since we left and have requested we come back to see Honey and Oreo soon (and we will)! If you are in a tent and a light sleeper, bring earplugs, it’s a farm so you will hear cows, but we found it delightful and it didn’t disturb the kids.

The accommodation is great for couples and families. We went with friends and our young children who loved being able to ride their bikes around freely, feed the animals and enjoy being in nature. The buggy ride is an extra expense but well worth it, especially for the kids. We have been several times and always prioritise staying here when we travel between Melbourne and Sydney as it's a perfect half way point.

The farmstay was in a stunning location, surrounded by hills and lovely animals. Our host was very knowledgeable and provided a great experience for all at the animal feeding. Kids of all ages really enjoyed it! |The glamping igloo tent was fantastic for the view it provided in the day and to see stars at night time. |Highly recommend for a great getaway.

Such a special family visit. The safari tents were charming and comfortable and well-equipped, and everything was so easy and kid-friendly. Our kids loved feeding the animals, just walking around the property and winding down around the bonfire. The steak, sausage and wine we ordered were all excellent. We hope to make this an annual trip, loved it.

A great place - the cabin was comfortable and equipped with all the essentials for an easy stay. Driving from QLD to VIC, we were able to have a break overnight with our dog where we could go for a walk and enjoy some space. Incredibly clean, and having the option to order a delicious pre-cooked meal was fabulous. Direct access off the freeway was a bonus for us.
