Very disappointing stay — I expected more from Hilton
I have been staying at Hilton hotels for some years and have always trusted the brand for its quality and transparency. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion.
First of all, I was shocked to discover a $365 laundry bill, just laundry without dry clean!
I admit I should have double-checked the price list, but there should be a minimum level of trust and clarity between a customer and Hilton. Charging that amount feels dishonest.
Breakfast was not included, no buffet, and the on-site restaurant charges very high prices. To make matters worse, you have to pay directly at the restaurant — so if you forget your wallet in the room, you have to go back and get it. There is also a Starbucks in the hotel, but it’s useless in the morning because you end up waiting in a 30-minute line, since everyone tries to avoid the expensive restaurant.
The rooms are poorly soundproofed — you can hear noises from the hallway and neighboring rooms. On top of that, getting from the elevator to the rooms is like navigating a maze of corridors, which is really inconvenient, especially in the morning or with luggage.
Finally, the parking fee — $45 per night! For these prices, I expect a much higher level of service, honesty, and guest comfort.
After this experience, I will cancel my loyalty program membership, which I have had for years. Sadly, Hilton has lost my trust and my businnes.
