We stayed at the Hilton Anaheim while attending the Improvement of Healthcare Institute conference. Since we were already in the area, we decided to visit Disneyland before our stay. Prior to arrival, we were told there was a free shuttle from the hotel to Disneyland.
We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 a.m. and fully understood that early check-in would not be possible due to the volume of guests. The staff kindly checked our bags for free, which we appreciated. However, we were surprised to learn upon arrival that there was no free shuttle available. Instead, we had to pay $6 for a shuttle, which took some time to figure out and wasn’t clearly explained. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like much assistance was offered in navigating that situation, which was disappointing.
That said, Julie at the bar truly stood out. She was incredibly sweet and kind when serving us after our conference in the evening. We had an issue with gnats in our drinks, and she immediately acknowledged it and took care of the situation professionally and kindly.
At checkout, I was surprised to be charged $1 to have my bag stored for one hour. Thankfully, I had the dollar on me, but it was unexpected. Additionally, the computer systems were down at the time, so we were unable to receive a receipt—just something to note for awareness.
Overall, despite a few inconveniences, the hotel is very beautiful, and I would definitely consider staying here again.
