Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro

The staff speaks excellent English and is very professional and friendly. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. There is a beautiful view from the pool, and the entire property is clearly well cared for. The breakfast staff is also extremely kind and welcoming. Highly recommended :)

Checked out at 4 pm on 08 Nov 2025 The negatives 1. The front desk man who attended me could not understand English or Spanish 2. The food consumed at hotel and for which i paid for/ the hotel says - no receipts can be generated. Very strange 3. You can hear neighbors opening and closing doors when sleeping. Talking. Very high level of noise 4. No decent coffee available in the entire hotel at 1100 am 5. Dont pay extra for lounge access as it has nothing except few bananas and apple. 6. No easy beach access The positives 1. Very high speed internet 2. Very good bed and mattress 3. Very good sun screen curtains 4. Decent sized room 6. Had ordered a burger and fresh orange juice room service. Both excellent Overall, Hyatt - Barra is much better.

The Hilton Barra has so far been a great experience! Our flight arrived early, but Alexandre at the front desk helped us check in early and made sure we could keep the room for our stay. He also has several recommendations for what we should do during our stay. The room was clean and the bathroom was well stocked, which we appreciated after 22 hours of being in an various airports. Finally, the executive lounge had amazing food

Mateus, Ana,Julio are a great Team! They work very well together! From the food to the drinks, EXCELLENT TEAM! They exuberant the T in Team and C in courtesy! Shout out to the cook, fish of the day was Excellent! Also, Renato( hope I got it right,lol) in the Executive lounge, we need more of him in this WORLD! Made me feel at home, going above and beyond, a true testament to who he is as an individual!

Hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are well-appointed and maintained. Beds are comfortable, and the staff is top-notch. Unfortunately, you can hear every single thing between the walls. I’ve been listening to my neighbor talk to an airline about a problem with their luggage for well over an hour today. I also hear my neighbors: showers, toilets, televisions, coughing, sneezing, opening their closets, and so on. It’s a shame the rooms pass so much noise because this is otherwise a fantastic hotel.

I enjoyed this beautiful Property, spacious room ,nice view and good location. Diner excellent where I want to mention Dani and Paolo doing a fantastic job, Breakfast, Marcelo he is so attentive, Gym , Joao so nice;Front Desk: all the staffs are well training and polite special mention to Jairo is awesome like Rodrigo and Thanks Mrs. Gabriela to be in all the details.

A large, beautiful, and luxurious hotel, clean and comfortable. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated.|The rooftop pool offers wonderful relaxation.|The breakfast was good.|The hotel is a bit far from the tourist attractions, so a car is definitely necessary.|The staff were very professional and helpful.

I stayed three nights at Hilton Barra da Tijuca as a Diamond member. Check-in was friendly, but I received no upgrade and was placed in room 531 next to a very noisy family. Despite reporting it, the issue wasn’t resolved. The Executive Lounge offered limited hours, no still water, and a broken coffee machine. Breakfast service was inconsistent — I had to request my room to be added to the list daily, and one staff member, Victor, was unwelcoming when I arrived at 10:40am (still within hours). Minibar charges were incorrect, and amenities for Diamond members were minimal. I traveled alone after my mother’s flight was cancelled, hoping for a comfortable stay, but the experience fell short of Hilton’s usual standards.

Service is wonderful and a very helpful staff.Milena head of food and beverage is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Anna at Concierge desk has helped me navigate in a foreign country easily.

This is a beautiful property with stunning views. We were tempted to stay at the Copacabana Hilton but ended up going with Barra due to the price difference....and I'm glad we did. The Uber rides to the beach were around an hour each way and only cost about $15 USA dollars. I was upgraded into an apartment suite looking out towards Olympic Park. I would love to stay at the property again! The hotel staff was excellent and went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. This property reminds me why I am loyal to Hilton. Beautiful new hotel (built 2015), wonderful staff!

from Jan 3 to Jan 25, 2016 business trip. Check in around 12 pm got my room right away with in 15 mins. I got my room through Hilton App in order to get my special triple points. Pro: With in a walking distance to the mall and a lounge with mixed drinks. Con: Not much to said, but sometime kids running all over the floor and in the lobby.
