Yelp
Front desk customer service representatives are amazing. After staying here for the second day, I had a front row seat watching them deal with all the pushback from guests regarding the complete lack of amenities, staff, and the property's outdated equipment and systems.
My mom and I decided to stay here during the hottest period in Seattle history, to take advantage of the air conditioning and pool. Because of the unusual heatwave, none of the guests were in a great mood. Still, the front desk staff pushed on and never lost their cool despite being yelled at for people cutting in line during check-in, the lack of hot water due to a breakdown in the boiler, the lack of sufficient air conditioning in the rooms and common areas, lack of bellman or even enough luggage carts to be able to self-carry luggage in, lack of housekeeping for guests, waiting list for towels, and general understaffing across the hotel.
*The only housekeepers working were assigned to turning over rooms for new guests.
Given all the issues with this hotel at full occupancy post pandemic and with 115 degree heat, I was amazed that none of the staff decided to walk out. The best thing at this Hotel are the staff members. Superstars at the front desk include Krystina, Amy, and Danny. They are seriously working harder by a thousand percent relative to their salary. From a liability standpoint, If Hilton doesn't upgrade this property and hire at least double the number of employees it currently has, the hotel staff will have quite the case for a "hostile work environment". The bar was fun and the bartender Irina was great however, the food took forever to come out and they were sold out of almost everything I wanted to eat.
This hotel isn't totally horrible!
**Some of the rooms on the upper floors (9-10) are big and well-appointed;
***the pool area is large and updated;
****the hotel is in a great location close to a lot of places to go in downtown Bellevue And only 9 miles from downtown Seattle;
***** Room prices are great relative to Seattle prices, (under $200);and,
6* This is a pet-friendly hotel and it was fun petting the tens of dogs in the lobby.
Hilton needs to seriously invest in updating this hotel so that the staff isn't so abused. The staff deserves 100 stars and the hotel deserves 3.0 stars because of their poor air conditioning systems and lack of staff.
