Best Hilton ever! Staff fantastic, suite amazing (with windows on the top floor that actually open for fresh air), outstanding location and every comfort one desires at a premier Hilton property. Having both a small refrigerator (I have medication that needs to be kept cold) and a safe made us feel both safe, and at home. Daily breakfast buffet was outstanding with everything one could desire. We had two cappuccinos every day!||Check in very efficient - although because of delayed flights, we didn’t arrive until 11 pm (23:00 Uhr). Sleep quality was also exceptional, read = super quiet. It is rare that we recover from jet lag so quickly. We were thrilled!||The location could not have been better…a 20 step (one minute) walk to the U-Bahn (underground subway) station. Super quick access to anywhere in Berlin.||So appreciate of the knowledgable concierge staff. We come to Berlin about every two years - and will now never stay anywhere else. Highly recommend!||Please note that we stay in Hilton (brand) Hotels around the world…at least 60 nights a year and know a great Hilton when we see one. This was a great one!||(Small side note, although there was a tiny bit of construction noise during our stay, it was minimal and only occurred after 9 in the mornings)

Some staff members couldn’t do enough for you. Munir and jasper gave us outstanding service. ||On check in We happily accepted their offer of an upgrade room. ||One particular staff member was rude and obnoxious to our group. He singled us out to question our existence in the executive lounge. We are ppl of colour and we hope we were not targeted by him because of that as it def felt that way. . No others were questioned. Then one couple were asked to leave the club !! What?!?! We are all members of Hilton honours club. That night the couple who got singled out and told to leave did not join us for a celebration dinner in Berlin. Theirs AND our hearts were broken by this experience. ||This same gentleman found it ok to smirk at us. He laughed at us as he walked past, and I said I’m glad you’re happy. You have ruined our Berlin experience weekend. ||The rooms are nice, business like and kept clean by the housekeepers. ||The water is an issue and we all experienced cold showers. The hot water was non existent. The same singled out couple had to move rooms, only to know that it’s an issue with the whole building. ||Breakfast is plentiful with lots of variety. It’s buffet food and the staff are all on hand to serve if required. ||Sadly the experience we all had from the employee in the executive lounge has left us feeling v bitter. ||Will we return? NO. NEVER. ||There’s no place for racism in this world.

We had a wonderful experience at Hilton Berlin. The hotel was on a great location- within walking distance from most tourist attractions. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They even arranged a nice bday treat for us.

We visited here last month. Absolutely loved Berlin and the hotel location. Unfortunately definitely not a 5 ☆,hotel. Reception staff were rude on arrival. We arrived too late to have a drink in the bar and the shop in the lobby where you can buy drinks had all the fridges turned off!!! |Room was ok. Bathroom had hairs all over it. Concierge were fantastic!! |Location is fabulous. |Would return to berlin but Hilton hotels are not a patch on what they used to be Unfortunately.

This hotel is in urgent need to be renovated, the rooms are dated, many things are broken or not working, the executive lounge was under repair and they moved it to a small area in the restaurant area, it was full of people so I couldn't get in. Also I didn't get an upgrade as a Diamond member, nor was I recognised as such at the time of checking in. Found a cockroach in my room but it seems to be a common problem in Berlin hotels. Wouldn't stay here again. Hilton is my favourite brand but here an urgent investment is needed, this is an excellent location.

Location: Top 👍🏼 But really not worth 5 stars: Huge house, so no personal service at all. I felt like ordering from McD… at the counter. Last room upgrades might have been after the fall of the Berlin wall (saying this as a bewildered citizen). Breakfast buffet just mediocre. But: Beds are great and comfortable! Sum up: I would recommend 4 stars.

We booked the Hilton Berlin through Amex Travel, primarily for the excellent location in Mitte. Most major sights are within walking distance or just one or two stops away on the U-Bahn. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything, whether it was directions or a shave kit. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t feel like a luxury experience. Although we booked a “King Guest Room,” the space was much smaller than expected, and the bathroom had visible mold. The shower was poorly designed with a small glass partition that allowed water to spill onto the floor, leaving the bathmat soaked every day. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety and was a good value. We also had dinner at the hotel’s Listo restaurant. The menu was limited, but the steak frites we ordered were well prepared and delicious. The pool was another positive feature, kept clean and at a pleasant cool temperature. Still, with no upgrade offered and the condition of the room below standard, we would choose a different hotel next time.

Google
The hotel has a great location; you can reach the main tourist attractions within a 15-20 minute walk. However, the hotel interior feels like stepping into a time machine and going back 30 years. In the shower, you need to wait 5 minutes to get hot water, and the room ventilation is noisy. There's no coffee machine in the room, and in the toilets, broken ceramic tiles are filled with silicone. I ordered a cake with ice cream for 15 euros and received the smallest cake ever. The breakfast buffet is quite small and doesn't differ much from a 3-star hotel. Overall, you feel like you've stepped into a time machine and traveled back 30 years. Additional remark for the hotel: Yesterday, when I returned to my room, the carpet from the room in front of the toilet was flooded with water. After the maintenance technician came, I found out that this is a recurring issue due to leaking pipes. I also looked into the hotel's history and my assumption about the interior's age was close. The hotel was built in 1989 and opened in 1990, last renovation in 2010.

Yelp
My stay here this week was amazing. This is my second time staying at the same hotel. This time, I stayed from 24 Octobr to 29 October. Before my arrival, I had a tough time traveling to Berlin due to flight cancelations. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by two very pleasant and professional Hilton team members, Michaela and Jona, the manager. They took the time to listen to my unpleasant travel and past saty at another rival hotel in Germany. As a Diamond member They ensured they had a room readily available for me, and it would meet my needs. The view from my room was amazing, the room was OUTSTANDING! I honestly believe if I wasn't Diamond status,  they would take the same energy and find a comfortable room for me because they are in the hospitality industry. So, I take my hat off to them. They are an example of what Hilton stands for. They represented the Hilton brand. There were two other Hilton team members as well and I am sorry I didn't get their names, one female and one male whom were also around during my arrival and the rest of my stay that always greeted me. (They know who they are). This team made me feel like I was truly an honored guest. The hotel is more than 5 stars from the amenities to the executive lounge and the bar staff. They were all a pleasure to be around. This hotel is one hotel that I can honestly say is a favorite of mine along with the Waldorf in Washing DC and the Hilton in Malta. Other hotels in the Hilton brand should take time to visit these locations to see how Hilton property should operate. Thank you, Team Berlin. I will see you guys again for business. Also, I can not forget,,,, breakfast is out of the world!!!!!

Yelp
Arrived early and went straight to hotel to check luggage as rooms weren't yet ready but used the lounge to decompress after flight and Uber. Check in was fairly simple - but later on we did have a number of snafus!! Our room was apparently the same as another family's as I found out when my room key wouldn't work for the assigned room! Then I went back down again and they coded me for another room - which again the room key did not work! You would think they would have been a bit more recalcitrant and give us another room, but that didn't happen. Clean room and housekeeping staff were very amenable to bringing extra towels and not knock on doors too early!! We had the Dome view and upgraded to the executive lounge use and it was such a lovely way to vacation with our friends in for Laver Cup! We even watched the last match on the lounge TV screen while having some tea! They do r out out the wine and beer and Prosecco (which was tasty!) until 6pm daily, so that is the only negative comment I have about the lounge. The tub was quite high to get in and out of (I'm 5'0" and friend is just a bit taller and we both had trouble getting out) - wished was a shower only room which I understand is available. The glass shower door also didn't quite cover the space so we had to have extra towels to use for the wet floor. We were on the 6th floor and had a lovely view. Concierge recommended a great breakfast place on our first day as we arrived 8am from the states and wanted to walk!

Yelp
Location was idea for traveling throughout Berlin via foot and Bike. I had an amazing time in the city and always felt welcomed when I returned. The mini-suite I occupied was large and very comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an excellent place to stay in Berlin. Cheers,

Yelp
We had the most amazing stay here over Christmas and New Year's! It was beautifully decorated for the holidays and all amenities were great. Aside from not receiving upgrades as I would've hoped for as a Gold member, they did give us a few perks to make up for it. Wished we could've been given complimentary access to the Executive Lounge for both of our stays, but we did receive it for Christmas Day at least: The staff is excellent and kind. What we enjoyed the most were the location, the brunch (!), and the size of the family room. WOW! While not cheap, we felt like we received more than what we had paid for. The brunch buffet is amazing and was the best perk I have experienced as a Gold/Diamond member. Try to sit near or under the glass dome for the best effect. I loved the access to the ice machines, the mini bar, and the spa and gym are fabulous. I would stay here again on our next visit: the location can't be beat. Just wish the Gendarmenmarkt construction was done when we were there, but perhaps next time.

Yelp
I'm enjoyed this hotel so much! The service is absolutely top tier and all the staff are great! From Welcoming vibe of Santiago checking me in and getting me situated, the executive lounge staff and breakfast staff Nassim has an for bussing and making sure I got the things I wanted and to eat and drink. To Hakan for checkin me in too! And Lisa for getting me set to the beautiful poool! The restroom downstairs is clean and great! I enjoyed going to the club next door at night 2am-4:30am All staff was superior! Great location from trains and markets and tours! Highly recommend! Great Wi-Fi and roooms so welcoming! I can't wait to come beach

Yelp
Great location for tourists. Closest train station is U2 Stadtmitte, which means city center. As the train station name suggests, it is centrally located to many of the touristy areas or short train ride away to many places. The country is currently running €9 train special and we took advantage of this ticket to go to many places. Due to sold out situation, our room wasn't ready when they originally promised. They gave us a key to the executive lounge to wait until the room was ready. Room was okay. Bed is always a personal preference but for me it was too hard. I kept waking up being uncomfortable sleeping there. Staff was friendly and polite. Breakfast buffet was very nice, overlooking at the dorm. It was like a picture.

Yelp
Pretty nice hotel in a central location. The breakfast was totally worth it just for the nice view across the street!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel I'm staying here just for the Berlin marathon it's situated super close to the start , food is delecious , gym facilities are on the fist floor breakfast is just so good included in your stay situated on the downtown of Berlin , slightly on the pricier side just a fair warning lol

Yelp
This place is gigantic. One of the biggest hotels I've stayed in. Ice machines not located on all floors or in both towers, but you can get to it. Gym/fitness area is huge! My biggest complaint is that i wish the air conditioner would be colder. Also there was no fridge in the room. Other than that, loved the central location!

Yelp
Stayed for a few days, as a Diamond member the perks are great. The room was spacious, bed and bedding were very comfortable. Shower had great pressure and quality toiletries. Breakfast was awesome every day! The location is great and you csn get to sll the attractions quite easily. Service was great. Overall positive experience!

Yelp
I had a great stay for three nights at the Berlin Hilton! As a Diamond member, I was told to check in at the executive lounge but unfortunately there was nobody there to check me in, but regular Hilton Honors check in was fast and efficient. They even apologized that they couldn't upgrade my room and offered complimentary items from the mini-bar which was nice. The hotel itself is beautiful inside. The outside is not what I would consider pretty but the lobby is stunning. My room was very nice. Great design, very functional and very clean. Beds were very comfortable....the pillows were fluffy but went flat quickly but I still slept well every night. The gym is very nice. It's attached to a spa so if you want a massage or something, that is available. I just used the gym to stretch and work out and it was great. Didn't eat at the restaurant or drink at the main bar, but did eat breakfast in the Executive Lounge a couple of times. They have the usual breakfast fare (eggs, fruit, bacon, bread....lots of bread!) and it was all tasty. Checking out was easy although they wanted to charge me for parking and for the items I took from the mini-bar, which should have been comped (I didn't go hog wild, just took a Kit Kat and a bottle of water) but they resolved that quickly. I found the location perfect as a base of operations for seeing things in Berlin. I came in via the Central Train Station and it took 13 minutes to get to the hotel. Checkpoint Charlie is less than a 10 minute walk, Tiergarten is about the same and there is a U-Bahn stop right outside the door. Very easy to walk to Museum Island. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Berlin, which I hope is soon.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, rooms are big and comfortable. Has a great location, and very reasonable in price. Will be back here again

Yelp
This is a classic full Hilton property in a really great location in Berlin. The problem is their air conditioning doesn't work very well. So you wake up in pools of sweat all the time and on top of everything else their food is appalling. We ordered the classic American burger only to find out without declaring it on the menu that it comes with miracle whip, so sweet mayonnaise and barbecue sauce which is anything but barbecue. I wouldn't mind if they declared it so we could have told them to not put it on there but the Burger came to the room like that and was completely inedible. Had breakfast in the executive lounge but it wasn't terribly good and missed out on a lot of possibilities in terms of selection.

Yelp
I was absolutely thrilled with the Hilton Berlin. It's one of the best Hilton's I've stayed in, and I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. The location is nearing perfection, right next to the Deutscher Dom (ask for a room with an eye-popping view of the landmark), across the street from the yummy Rausch chocolate shop, and within a one to two block walking distance from several subway stations. Plenty of shops and restaurants are nearby too, and if you take public transport you can get to most of the city's major tourist attractions within minutes. The room itself was pretty standard, on the small side, but very comfortable. There's a nice workspace desk, a clean bathroom, and an in-room mini-bar. The employees were hospitable and spoke perfect English (among several other languages). My room was on the Executive Floor which meant I had access to the Executive Lounge and a stunning complimentary breakfast. The lounge was large and overrun with business people throughout the day and got very crowded. It was still a nice place to hang out with heavy snacks and free soft and hard drinks. The breakfast was absolutely top notch, one of the best spreads ever. Think fresh pastries, pretzels, coffee, juices, bacon, yogurt and more. They had free sparkling wine too! It was an amazing assortment of food (and I'm not even a breakfast person). I'd stay here again for the breakfast alone. There's a cab stand right outside the front door, making it easy to get a ride to the train station or airport if you're in a hurry. The Hilton Berlin is one of my favorite chain hotels in Europe.

Yelp
Humongous hotel across from the Deutsche Dom. Set in a concentric square around an atrium so all inner courtyard rooms are super quiet and off the street. Ground floor has tons of seating areas. Fitness room has about three or four of each - ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and quiet a few weight/resistance equipment for a hotel fitness center. Pool is very nice and the spa gas a large number of treatment options at slightly lower prices (for the 90 minute options) than the typical outrageous spa prices you normally see at full service hotels. Rooms are well appointed but have way too bright night lights you can't cover because they are built flat into the wall. Reception was very friendly. First time visitors get a free glass of wine at their bar.

Yelp
The Executive lounge is an expensive joke. I expected it to be like the lounge at the Hilton Vienna where there were cookies, soda, computers, fax and copy machines, a dedicated receptionist to help with reservations, Conceirge duties, etc. In Vienna in the evening had desserts, an amazing and diverse buffet, passed tidbits, and a range of drinks including hard liquor. Here in Berlin it was pathetic. Wine or beer, a few bland cheeses that were served at breakfast, a wilted salad, and mediocre falafel. Do not waste your money here. In every aspect of this trip, Hilton Berlin made me feel like an inconvenience. And the upcharge for the lounge was a total waste. If they improve over the next few days I will amend my review. But the executive club lounge right now is a total waste.

Yelp
Stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed the time. Rooms - The room was modern and laid out nicely, The bathroom was a tad small but manageable. The bed was very comfortable. Amenities- The executive lounge was spacious and even offered a conference room. It's a great place to get away from your room and relax. They have couches and tables that are comfortable. Internet worked really well. We did not take advantage of the health club but was told it was nice. Service - The customer service was good and accommodating. Both the concierge and front desk employees were very helpful Overall a nice place to stay.

Yelp
Came here because of the great location. We went for the Christmas markets and it was a super convenient walk- just a few minutes. The breakfast was enjoyable with many options , but extremely busy since it was over the holidays. We went one more very early at 7am and much more enjoyable without so many people. Didn't have a chance to really enjoy the facilities, but again loved the location.

James W.

Yelp
First world issues but the shower runs hot and cold, body lotion empty, shower gel empty, tissues empty, air conditioner doesn't work and that's what I've found so far. I expect far far better for the price.

Yelp
Another one of those places I'm surprised I've not got around to reviewing yet is Hilton Berlin, which was the hotel where I stayed during my week in Berlin in the Summer, it is a "five-star accredited" hotel, but I don't feel the rating matches that in terms of Yelp ratings and my own personal experience. Located in the Gendarmenmarkt, the location is okay, it is close to bus services and Stadtmitte Metro Station and isn't really within walking distance of a lot of things, unless you like longer walks. The hotel breakfast was one of the worst I've had at the time, the scrambled eggs were a mess and even the beans had an unusual, horrible taste to them which was a shame which does show the need for Heinz to expand into Europe as they probably do some awesome beans, but this isn't recognised outside of the UK based on past experience. They didn't even have gluten-free bread, it was a mix of roles and something weird, it looked like bread but was one of the most disgusting examples of gluten-free bread I've tried in my life, which you can see a picture of alongside my review. I even had trouble with the qualities and presentation of the teas and service at breakfast, I was basically left to it and the staff didn't seem to care about telling me where everything was, or telling me what extras I could have and ordering them. The hotel staff seemed mixed, some were friendly and eager to help, yet some were more reserved. The lobby and areas around the hotel were quite nice, the wifi was a little iffy. My overall room wasn't a five-star hotel standard, I struggled with a lack of plug sockets. The TV situation wasn't great either. On my penultimate day at the hotel, the Schalke football team ended up staying here ahead of a friendly they had in Berlin the following day (the day I was going home), by the time I arrived back at the hotel most of the squad including former City player Matija Nastasic and Football Manager legend and City target Breel Embolo had come in, but I managed to see their manager, Domenico Tedesco. This hotel is a decent hotel, there are so many things it needs to do to improve, especially in regards to maintaining a good standard of service throughout the hotel especially at breakfast, and the overall quality of room and breakfast could be better too. The location isn't great, but they can't just pick the hotel up and put it somewhere else, the tube station outside is quite confusing with different lifts and staircases, some even streets away from each other to get to "different sides". Three star rating - which I feel is slightly generous is warranted here.

Yelp
So I recently stayed 1 night at the Hilton Berlin and it was a great night stay. I arrived in Berlin around 11 am after flying all night from JFK. I was tired, smelled bad, and really just wanted to relax before having coffee with a friend in Berlin proper. I arrived at the hotel around 12:30 and thankfully my room was ready. My room was not just ready I was upgraded to a better room. I actually did not remember what I originally booked, but they told me I was upgraded and I ended up having a great view from my room. I got my keys and I was off. This hotel requires you to enter your key into a key spot on the elevator before you go up to your room. I was on the 4th Floor. I went into my room and it was nice. The first thing I noticed was that I could open my window. I love this about hotels in Europe that you can open your window a little bit. It makes it all the better by allowing a little fresh air inside. The room was large and spacious. A couple things I did not like. First, the bed was really hard. I am noticing this is a trend in certain parts of Europe. I am used to a big soft bed, but I am not getting this here. Second the shower should come with an instruction manual. I could not figure out how to turn on the hot water and make it so the water came out of the shower head. I was so confused! This location of this hotel is awesome. It is located right in the main area and there are tons of restaurants, coffee shops, cabs, and many other sightseeing and activities all within a short walk from this place. The absolute best breakfast buffet I have ever had. I was traveling to Bosnia on the day I checked out so I decided to take advantage of my Hilton status and eat the breakfast. It was AMAZING. They had everything you could want and so much more. The had an omelet station and someone making omelets to order. They had all the traditional English breakfast offerings. I had eggs, baked beans, sausage, and a pancake. It was savory and sweet and delicious. They also had a wide range of breads, pastries, eggs, cold cut meats and fishes, drinks, and cold cereals. Because of my Hilton honors status it was free, but even if you have to pay I would recommend this breakfast! Overall a great stay at the Hilton Berlin. If I find myself back in the city I know where I am going to stay!

Yelp
This hotel is very poorly managed and dirty. I am at Hilton gold member and stay at Hilton's because they have a nice lounge where you can stop by for a complimentary beverage or a snack... But this Berlin Hilton would not honor the Hilton gold executive lounge access like all other Hilton's do Because my company made the reservation!!!!!! I talked to the supervisor and she said this is directly from the hotel manager we do not give access to the lounge for gold memberships here especially if a third-party makes the reservation....that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard ! What good is having a loyalty membership if you can't use it???? Needless to say I'm totally disappointed in this hotel for sure When I got to my room it was filthy ...with hair in the bathtub and black mold in the shower and on the walls outside the shower. The privacy door lock was broken and other things were definitely noticed. I would say to skip this hotel entirely!!! there are plenty of great hotels in this area of Berlin that are less expensive and in my opinion much better managed.

Yelp
The location is perfect. Across the street from the concert hall/opera house and within walking distance from Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburger Tor, stores, restaurants and metro stations. It was easy to get to/from. Two bell hops welcomed us and automatically took our bags to our room while we were checking in. This was nice since my luggage handle broke when I got it from Berlin airport. Check-in process was a breeze and there was a room available for us before the normal check-in time. The hotel is an older but beautiful building. The lobby is pretty. There's a restaurant and a bar downstairs. There's free wifi at the lobby only. The room we had was nice and comfortable with a view of a chocolate shop! Toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body wash. All the employees were helpful and polite. We had to check which channel the Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich was on and the concierge guy got the answer. I ended up watching the game at the lobby since there were lots of Munchen fans watching and I was the only Madrid fan - I'm always ready for trash talking! After 2 goals from my team, people went back to their rooms. I really couldn't find a flaw with this hotel.

Yelp
the staff here is amazing ,Rene is the most helpful concierge , I had the pleasure of meeting , the executive lounge is one of the best I have visited as well , soup and bread is so top notch, christoph is very helpful and Mariyana keeps the place happy and spotless excellent employees , will stay every time I visit Berlin

Yelp
Rooms looked renovated, clean. Layout was typical, bathroom was good size. Did not eat in their restaurant given there were so many nearby restaurants.

Yelp
Well located not far from many interesting places. The front desk was polite and efficient. The room was modern, spacious and well appointed. I appreciated that there were sufficient surfaces on which I could stage my work and personal items. Housekeeping was a bit late but efficient and thorough. Easy check out.

Yelp
Basically this is the only time that I have ever stayed at a Hilton hotel, and is likely to be the last. Okay, it wasn't as if the service was particularly bad - it wasn't, it is just that this hotels are just way too expensive for my tastes. Look, in all honesty, the rooms weren't that bad, and it certainly was no where near as flash as some hotels that I have visited, however, I guess certain aspects of the name tend to put me off, and also the fact that the chain does tend to be connected with overpriced accommodation. Yeah, I tend to prefer to travel on the cheap.

David S.

Yelp
Nice property in safe and central location. Room relatively well appointed although bed mattress was quite firm, and regrettably uncomfortable. Mini bar well stocked; coffee maker could use an update. Room ventilation poor at best. Bathroom adequate & typical travel size sample products provided. Housekeeping efficient and friendly. Honors executive lounge very well managed. Light snacks/soup/coffee/beverage variety, (alcohol, beer wine spirits), available in the evening 6-8:30pm. Attentive staff & consistently well stocked. Wellness/Pool, sauna steam quite nice. Additional charge (14.50e/day), for use of sauna area quite ridiculous. Changing room inadequate.; 2 people changing and basically bumping into each other. Lockers available. Note: As typical in Germany, use of sauna/steam areas is obligatory Nude. Not a big deal, but in this case it really didn't matter..........Next to no one seems to use the area seemingly because of the additional day use charge $; frankly absurd, and additionally pathetic of Hilton management. Breakfast fantastic; numerous choices and excellent staff. Lobby Restaurant overly expensive. Bar service in lobby very slow. Numerous restaurants in the area, mostly Italian. Hotel lobby security borderline Rude. Stayed 5 days and not once did anyone say hello, good morning, good evening, nor even smile. Actually appeared miserable. Check out smooth & efficient. Would I stay here again...? NO.

Yelp
Pretty good Hilton in a great location. Stayed for a few days and enjoyed the sights and sounds Berlin has to offer. The executive lounge is spacious and stocked continuously. Enjoy some refreshments and snacks before heading out for the night. The hotel is right next to some sights and way into the rest of the city by subway stop or bus. Though Hilton might be a little more to stay, the location and access to the city makes up for it.

Yelp
I have stayed here several times when I visit Berlin. It is one of my favorite hotels. Clean, great customer service and can't beat the location. Most things are within walking distance for sight seeing. Tour buses leave right from near the hotel. Starbucks is around the corner for those of us who crave American coffee. The view from the breakfast buffet is incredibly beautiful. The breakfast spread is one of the best I've ever had! I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Loved this hotel! Had to stay here for business. The rooms are spacious, location is central to tons of sightseeing and shopping, and the staff is incredibly nice. Free buffet breakfast was the best I've ever had! Basically everything said in other reviews. There were two things I didn't care for: water pressure in the shower could use some help and the heater is a wall contraption that wasn't obvious with regards to how to operate so I left it alone (February in Berlin is cold but luckily the room stayed relatively comfortable). I would absolutely come back and stay here!

Yelp
Where to begin. My reservation online was cancelled and had to fight to get it back. Tried to take my wife to their upscale restaurant and was tried like they were doing me a favour to dine with them. Left after one hour as it took that long to get water pea soup. No manager was on duty and the lead waiter was lost for words, see my other review. I spoke to what I was told was a hotel manger that turn out to be an events manager. She said they would look into the problem and get back to us. She offered to help book my wife a morning at the spa but we were told they were too busy and short staffed. We never heard back from them with the exeption of a cheap bottal of wine that was sent to our down graded room. Great location but poor customer service to say the least. At this stage I'm looking to turn in my gold card and start booking at Marriott.

Yelp
This was the first time I stayed here. Located in a old east architected building this hotel gets 5 stars for location. Located across the street from the Dom and about 50m from the Stadtmitte U Bahn this hotel is close to everything in the city. It's surrounded by cool cafes, shopping and many tourist attractions and bars. The room I had was very comfortable and had a good bed. The service here is good and the air conditioning in the room worked well (not too low and not warm :-)). There are a couple of restaurants and bar here. I cannot comment on the food as I did not eat here. The bar has an excellent selection of cocktails and drinks and the service is very good and friendly. There are so many nice places to eat nearby for quite a lot less so explore the area. All in all a very good experience and I would happily come back here again. The prices are also not so bad if you book ahead of time. I was lucky to get a room here due to Berlin Fashion Week but glad I did as it was a hotel full of stylish pretty people ;-))

Yelp
This hotel seems great, but once you start using the amenities watch out, because they have your credit card!!! We booked our last afternoon in town a day at the Spa within the Hilton Berlin. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! The massages (95 euro each) were below standard, but that's fine. They were relaxing. Then came the billing. They double billed our credit card and promised us, "We ensure you, the second charge will not be on your bill...". We got back to the room and not only were we double charged, but they billed in incorrectly and on top of that, they billed the room too! Triple incorrect charge!! I called guest services and asked to speak with the hotel manager, Mrs. Muenchgesang who refused to speak with me. Hotel service call a few times and their solution was, "This is what you HAVE to do, go down to the Spa and pay again for the massages". What, get billed a 4th time!? I again told guest services I wanted to speak with the hotel manager and was told Mrs. Muenchgesang was not available. This was supposed to be a relaxing day at the Hilton Berlin Spa! Now they are telling me what I have to do?! And over billing me three times! Eventually I had to call guest services again and eventually was routed to Noe Kehl, Duty Manager. He offered to provide access to the executive lounge, but still I had to pay yet again? So now we have ruined our afternoon of relaxation and we have a flight we need to be up at 3am to catch. We have no real way of ensuring we are not additionally over/double charged by Hilton. I had business travel in Berlin and this trip I happened to invite my wife. I'm away from home a lot, working in international clinical biotechnology. I try to stay at Hilton's, but it is not always possible because of conferences or a availability, so seldom do I achieve above gold status. This is unfortunate for me because the Hilton Berlin treats you poorly if you don't have status. I'd stay away from this hotel and especially the Spa and Management. They finally offered to buy us dinner - but we should be relaxing and fast asleep after our afternoon at the Spa, especially since we've paid for our service three times already! Mrs. Muenchgesang (hotel manager) and Noe Kehl (Duty Manager) should be disciplined by Hilton and I hope to hear from Hilton soon.

Yelp
We stay here when we come to Berlin for the Christmas markets. It is just over the road from one of the best markets, The Gendarmenmarkt. Also it is near the U-Bahn and also it is easy to get a taxi or stadtrundfahrt to see the sights. The rooms are large and nice and warm (well, it is December when we go) Breakfasts are great and if we pop back for morning or afternoon coffee the waiter is there immediately. Large cups and lovely almond biscuits. MMmm. We were there when Paris Hilton was staying, while she was doing a promotion for her Prosecco. We saw her close up and I managed to get a photo but she didn't stop to talk (!) as she sped through reception and up into her penthouse ! We like Hiltons and stay in Hiltons when we are in other countries..

Yelp
So the Location is good. Very close to checkpoint Charlie and the wall museum. Early checkin was nice too. Until the morning when we went down for breakfast. I thought it was 16 for some reason and it was double the price. So we decided to eat somewhere else which shouldn't be a big deal to him. The staff at the door checking the people in gave us nasty attitude for some reason. I don't think we were asking a huge favor by saying it's ok, we will eat somewhere else. Reception desk ladies were nice and welcoming though. Will probably visit Hilton again but WILL NEVER EAT THERE.

Yelp
While not the most glamorous building with the highest floors , the location is great and the rooms well-appointed. I had a gorgeous dome-side view and access to the Executive Lounge -- both of which made my stay exceptionally comfortable. The room could use a few more outlets / USB sockets, and I'm always bummed with a mini-fridge is only for-purchase -- I would have loved to chill some water to enjoy while relaxing in my room. The only other annoyance was a constant, undulating hum that I ultimately tracked to the AC system; I ended up turning it off completely to revel in the silence, and opened my balcony door for fresh air during the day. Overall a very nice hotel in a great location -- I'll be happy to return!

Yelp
The staff is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unpleasant. I include all the staff especially the concierges. Good location, terrible management. I was on a Stanford University tour group, and they made it clear that we were the one who lost the "war" Monica Sagner

Yelp
Our stay here was very pleasant. The room was compact, but looked out over an expansive view of the dome of the cathedral across the street and a large plaza. We opted to pay a little extra for access to the executive lounge, which turned out to be a great deal: free breakfast, tea and pastries in the afternoon, and hors d'oeuvres and drinks in the evening which were substantial enough to make a light meal. Also it was a nice, tranquil place to hang out away from the room, to read or work on the computer. The staff was friendly, English speaking, and knowledgeable. The concierge was able to get us tickets for an otherwise sold out performance at the Berlin Philharmonie. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the sites we wanted to visit. We will certainly stay here again on future trips to Berlin.

Yelp
I've stayed in many hotels; primarily Hilton/Marriott brands when not in a boutique style hotels - this is one of the better for the chains. The service was spectacular, and the location is prime for being in the center of Berlin, we valet parked our car and walked or cab to anywhere we needed/wanted to go. The rooms were well apportioned, and modern, though nothing out of the main stream. The only reason I'm not going with five stars are the rooms, as noted they are standard, even for diamond honors members. Oh, and I had one of the best Amaretto Sours ever here. I'd certainly stay here again.

Yelp
I stayed here for two weeks while working in Berlin. The hotel is located in sort of the business area of town. It is quite dead with not a lot of activity after hours. It reminds me of New York's Financial District. Regardless of the "dead" location, the hotel has plenty of transportation options for someone who does not have a car. The U2 (subway line) is literally in front of the hotel as well as a taxi stand. You can event rent bikes from the hotel. The hotel is a 20 minute taxi drive to the Tegel Airport. The gym is fully equipped with free weights and cardio machines. They will provide gym towels. Don't drink the fountain water in the gym. It's quite warm and has a strong aftertaste. I didn't try the swimming pool or spa facilities. They look nice though. The room is big considering the hotel is in Berlin. I stayed in a room with a king size bed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The AC can get cold in the room. Housekeeping visited my room every day. They even left me free chocolates and a water bottle on certain days. Upon arriving, ask housekeeping to remove contents of your mini bar so you may put your own water bottles and perishables in the fridge. There is a grocery store, Kaiser, a couple blocks away. Ask concierge for the exact location. Concierge also sells stamps and will mail your postcards. The lady in the lobby gift store would not sell me stamps unless I bought postcards from her. Room service was quick, friendly, and easy. Get the club sandwich and fries. Technically, there is no free wifi in the rooms; however, there is an easy work around. Ask for the free wifi access code downstairs at front desk. The free access codes allow you to access wifi for up to 1 hour. Here is the kicker...you can reuse the same access code as many times as you want. During my two weeks stay, I used the same wifi access code while in my room. The only inconvenience is having to type in the wifi access code every hour. It is better than paying 25 EURO for 24 hour wifi access. There are also four computer workstations in the lobby. A printer is available if you need to print boarding passes, but who does that nowadays? Use your smartphone as your boarding pass. Berlin is all about being green and saving the environment. My advice is to "check out" with front desk the night before you actually leave the next morning. The queue for front desk can get long at times so it is best to get your final hotel folio and settle your bill the night before. When you leave the next morning, drop off your card keys with front desk and you're good to go.

Yelp
Fact: The Hilton Berlin is in the best location possible for a visitor to Berlin. You are right across the street from the Gendarmemarkt. You're a 5 minute walk down the Charlottenstrasse to Checkpoint Charlie. You're a 15 minute walk to the Brandenberg Gate. You're surrounded by restaurants and shops and food stands and more restaurants and shops and food stands. There's a frickin' Ampelmann Store a block away that will quickly finish off any remaining souvenir shopping you need to do for friends and family back home. The Stadtmitte U-Bahn station is quite literally in the middle of the street between the hotel and the Neue Kirsche. This very literally could not be more convenient a location. Which is exactly why this place is so expensive. The rooms and the beds are larger than average. Complimentary ice machines (Yes, Americans! Free ice that will melt into free, ice cold stilleswasser!). Hilton HHonors Gold and Diamond members, don't forget to ask for your complimentary Wi-Fi! A very well equipped, albeit small fitness center. And, of course, an incredible German breakfast spread every morning on Floor 1. Staff was exceptionally friendly and the rooms were well furnished with plenty of amenities. If you're willing to spend the money, it doesn't get much better than this.

Yelp
Meh. Hiltons generally maintain a high standard, but this one didn't measure up. You can usually judge a hotel by the quality of its burger. Mine at the bar felt distinctly fast-foody. The bun was soggy and it came with stuff I didn't want. The bartender noticed me picking the (gristly) onions off the slice of cheese, and asked how I was enjoying my burger. I mentioned that it was a bit ordinary, and he scolded me for not briefing them properly, until I pointed out that the menu didn't specify what the burger came with, and that usually meant, in a 5 star hotel, that the ingredients would be on the side and you could assemble it yourself. He harrumphed. The guy at the door also harrumphed when I insisted he fill out the receipt for valet parking correctly, and in full. Housekeeping harrumphed when they felt I had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door for too long. I live in Germany, and know that some of the gruffness one gets from service staff is simply part of our culture. But this is a Hilton, goddamn it. I found myself harrumphing at the expensive internet charges, the slow lifts, the noise from upstairs and next door, and the general absence of concierge staff at critical times. Nice enough renovations, but not quite up to par, alas.

Yelp
Four stars for not charging me extra for spilling red wine on the sheets. This happened not because of a party foul, but while falling asleep mid-sip after almost 24 hours of traveling from San Francisco to get here. Thanks for that. Also thanks for letting me use the phone to beg American Airlines to change my flight to Madrid after I slept through the first one. Dancing till the early morning to Paul Van Dyk at the We Are One festival will do that to you. Flight was changed, vacation was saved, the dancing continued in Ibiza. Stories aside, Hilton Berlin is very subway friendly, overall friendly, and a perfect place to get some sleep on an adventure of a lifetime.

Yelp
I liked this Hotel a lot. I got a pretty decent deal and it was ideally located for some business meetings but also a great location for when you have some free time and want to explore the city. When you're staying at a Hilton or Marriott outside of the US -- you usually can expect a better experience than you would at the same brand hotel in the US. I find that true for the Hilton in Berlin and would stay here again. The price would be the determining factor as I wont bay 500+ a night, but if you can get for less than 300, its a great hotel!

Yelp
Old school luxury with a layer of modern touches. This is a Hilton in Germany overlooking a landmark (Gendarmenmarkt) and the symphony so you know it has got the skills. The rooms in general are larger than your average European hotel room, the service was great, and the Executive Lounge spread throughout the day was actually pretty good. I had made last minute reservations maybe 14 hours prior to arrival and arrived pretty early in the morning, even though my room was not ready (which I didn't expect) they took my bags and the front desk even asked for a number they could contact me to notify me when my room was ready; after being on the move 28+ hours it was nice of them to call my US-based cell. Would I stay here again? It is on my list next time I m in town.

Yelp
It was quite expensive, but in a brilliant location. The Wifi is unbelievably expensive, but it's free for one hour only in the lobby. The lifts were being upgraded while we were there, which caused huge delays trying to get around the hotel. We tried the breakfast once - it was a good buffet, but so crowded that it was fairly uncomfortable. The room was fine, usual size with a good bathroom, but although there were two of us sharing it, we only got one set of everything and had to call down for a second set of towels and toiletries. While checking out, the girl behind the desk asked me if everything had been ok with our stay. I said that actually I had some feedback, as we had encountered some issues. She then told me to write an email to the address I would find on the website. I was a bit taken aback - who asks you for feedback, only to brush it off if you actually have any?!

Yelp
This magnificent hotel obviously wants ONLY business travelers on expense accounts and NOT ordinary tourists. Hilton charges 25 Euros per day (about $33 usd) for in room wifi service. Considering their room rates, this is thievery. They can get away with it because business guests pass the cost along to employers who incorporate such costs into the price consumers pay. Hilton does provide very limited (1 hour) free wifi service but ONLY in the lobby. With an enormous, marble, lobby (see the photo displayed on TripAdvisor), this is the kind of hotel my wife and I generally eschew. We were here as part of a Viking River boat cruise on the Elbe (reviewed at www.cruisecritic.com). The Hilton Berlin offered a great bed, fantastic breakfast, immaculate cleanliness, excellent location (our room overlooked Fasbender's Chocolate store - talk about a room with a view) and a helpful staff. BUT...charging for wifi in the room was too much for me! We changed hotels and saved approximately $200/day! We did not have a fancy, brobdingnagian (look it up) lobby. BUT, we did not pay for one either! If you are on a corporate expense account, this is a wonderful hotel.

Yelp
We arrived to a spotless and imposing lobby with reception at one end staffed by smiling staff only too happy to attend to us in english. Our room was enormous and tastefully decorated; well-equipped with plenty of lighting, blackout shades, groovy film & nature books to read; wonderful bathroom, even a UK-ready power point -- bonus! Housekeeping was faultless. Cam on ban, ladies! If you require a good spa experience, shell out the €12 for an all-day pass -- you'll melt into another dimension in the sauna, aromatherapy and steam rooms, with footbaths, ice tray and Ye Olde Bucket of Cold Water to bring you back to reality. Small but well-kept pool surrounded by deck chaises is included with price of bedroom. We expected much less than we got here, frankly. Yes, I agree with Curt that the Hilton HHonors program kinda sucks. But that shouldn't keep you away. This Hilton is pure luxury at a budget price and surrounded by good eating, drinking and shopping. It is literally inches away from the U2 and U6 lines, as well within an easy walk of plenty of tourist attractions. When we come back (and we definitely will) our only hope is that they get free WiFi.
