Hotel 7/10 Lobby 8/10 Room 6/10 Fitness 9/10 Area 7/10 Hilton Park Plaza Boston is overall a really nice hotel. The lobby is nice, service is good and check-in is smooth. The rooms differ a lot. You either get a nice mid sized hotel room or a shoebox. But the aircondition/heating is good, its clean and the bed is nice. But the noise! You hear everything on the halls and rooms next to you. Bring earplugs. The bathroom is disappointing for a hilton, it feels like stepping 2 stars dowen when you walk in. The faucet are in most rooms loose and feels really cheap and the toilet paper is super thin 😂. The Fitness center is where this Hotel really shines! Its a brand called Lynx. It is really really nice. They have everything. Nice sauna, good high end machines and equipment and a nice open area. The only thing missing is a cold plunge, then you could find everything here. The hotel is located in a good and clean area. Good areas to run or walk in. Close to food and shopping. What saves this hotel from the rooms with the noise and cheap bathrooms. Is the Fitness, the area, the temperature control in the room and the bed!

Ranjan's service was exceptional. When our refrigerator failed, he quickly replaced it and ensured it was perfectly installed. Knowing we had a large group, he thoughtfully delivered extra towels to our room multiple times, always with a cheerful attitude. He even added a personal touch by surprising us with delightful goodie bags.||Ranjan's commitment to his work is evident. His attentiveness and genuine concern for our comfort were remarkable; we felt completely cared for. Ranjan is reliable, and his dedication greatly enhanced our stay. We deeply appreciate his efforts.

We ate at Off the Common. Our server was Stefania and she was lovely. My friend had her service dog with her and everyone was friendly and helpful. We both had salads that were delicious. I have dietary restrictions and the manager came over and verified my allergies to make sure that the meal would be prepared properly. Lovely environment. Quiet enough for conversation even though it was busy. The staff is fantastic.

Wonderful property! Very clean and spacious, our room was a superior king on the 15th floor, a gorgeous view of the city. The bathroom was a little small but not a problem, dinner was excellent, had the “statler chicken “, juicy and delicious. Staff goes above and beyond to ensure your happiness. Would definitely recommend!

I stayed here four nights for a conference in a regular king room. Very comfortable although bathroom a bit small. Friendly front desk. Great location. I was able to walk to lots of tourist sites. A Trader Joe’s is a few blocks away. Legal Seafoods and Maggianios across the street. Boston Common park and start of Freedom Trail are a block or so away.

Great hotel, beautiful lobby, wonderful food and terrific staff. HOWEVER, do not stay at this hotel if you even like a little bit of space in your room. This is truly the smallest room I have ever stayed in. My bed literally touched wall to wall so you have to climb over the bed to get to the thermostat. The toilet almost touched the wall to one side and bath tub to the other. I definitely need way more room so I can never stay here again but again great location, food and staff.

The location was perfect — really can’t fault that. But unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. I didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. For £350 a night, I expected a bit more. The room was absolutely tiny. Once I opened my suitcase (and it’s not even a large one), there was no space left to walk around the bed. The wardrobe couldn’t be opened fully because of the layout. The bathroom was just as bad - you have to squeeze in to close or open the door. The coffee machine was hidden away and barely usable. I tried making coffee, filled it with clean water, but what came out was water with black chunks of dirt, clearly not cleaned or maintained properly. The view was straight into someone else’s room, offering zero privacy. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had, probably the second worst I’ve experienced. Definitely not worth the price. Reply to Hilton’s message following my review: We booked and paid for a Superior King Room (see the confirmation), not a “Wicked Small Room” as the reply suggest. Hilton’s response misinterprets the facts and unfairly portrays me as unreasonable. I will deal with this directly with Hilton in a professional manner, something I would’ve expected from the management team in the first place.

Lobby atmosphere and amenities were excellent! Breakfast in lobby lounge was delicious. Clarissa was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive and let us enjoy our meal comfortably. Hotel common areas very clean.

Yelp
Great, walkable location in the middle of the downtown-y zone that's still good for access to the top of the river! The hotel itself is spacious and amazing smelling (seriously, I need to figure out how to bottle it and bring it home), with clean rooms and friendly staff. Bobby at reception made the check-in process especially easy (after a long day of travel, no less) After first watching him be exceptionally kind to an older guest, then he checked us into our reservation with such sincere care. Not only was he professional, but he also gave really thoughtful recommendations about everything. He didn't just point us in a direction -- his advice about the immediate area (from where to go for a quick bite vs. a more intimate dinner, to how to navigate valet vs self-park, to specific must-tries at the hotel) was tailored and directly elevated our stay. Seriously, Bobby and the team were (and are) incredible, I'll definitely be back. Double posting here and in Google because it's that good.

Yelp
First off, I will say that all the people I interacted with at the front desk, bellhop, concierge and valet were very pleasant and helpful. Really nice folks. Then the bad. This hotel is crazy overpriced for how bad the room and bar area were. The room: comically small, which isn't a big deal, but should be noted. -The remote for the tv didn't work at all. -The small area with the cooler had a door that wouldn't close and kept swinging open. -Bathroom door would stick and we had to use a ton of force to open it when it was closed all the way -Didn't provide soap, just conditioner and two shampoo bottles. -Tried to get in touch with the front desk via text as was suggested and only got a chat bot that didn't help. The bar/restaurant- The server at night was completely rude and disinterested in helping us. Instead, making comments about reserved tables even though we were sat by the hostess with no argument or complaint. Then after all that, tried to sit other parties at our table when members of our group had gone to the restroom. Then, the next morning, no one could answer us in regards to where to sit for breakfast. Just very bazaar. Also, there is no clarity at all about where to go for valet. If anyone is looking for that information, go to the back of the hotel (Columbus street, I think). They will get your vehicle there.

Yelp
I've stayed here twice and I still think the location can't be beat. There are pros and cons, but I got an insane deal on hotel tonight so I can't really complain. I'd imagine any of the "cons" are a result of getting a cheap *very small* room. Pros: Location! Beautiful Lobby. Great Bar. The hotel convenience shop has literally everything you could need. Great guys at the front doors. Always able to check-in early.

Yelp
Stayed in this hotel while in the city for work. Overall, it's clean and in a pretty good location. However, for the price, it's definitely not worth it if you can avoid. This is becoming the norm for this city - astronomical prices and the hotels aren't anything to write home about. But, there's a restaurant, gym, coffee shop downstairs so it is convenient. Valet is $70/night.

Yelp
We would absolutely stay here again but would absolutely opt for a larger room. We didn't realize just how small it was until we were there. It is tight and the bathroom was even smaller. However, valet (around back) was easy. My truck was kept in a garage (that it actually fit in even thought it's a rather tall Land Cruiser). The check in process was even easier! I believe Charles was the "bellhop" as he referred to himself and he was amazing. You literally cannot touch your own bags they do it all. It was just an experience that we really enjoyed. The hotel is close to everything most would want to walk to or rideshare to. We did have a bit of an issue after one of our longest outing days. Just as we laid down to sleep the fire alarm went off and the entire place was evacuated. We stood outside after midnight for about 10-15 minutes and then were told "all clear". Yes, it was frustrating, especially since I'm pregnant and had to take the stairs from the 8th floor, but they handled it well. Nonetheless the location is great, we kind of wish we had trained in versus drove but we will next time!

Yelp
Stayed at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza for a conference. The lobby is nice and the staff were friendly. The standard room is tiny!! You can barely walk around the bed to get to the other side. And the bathrooms in the standard rooms are also tiny. It felt claustrophobic. Also the room did not have a proper desk for business travelers. There was a chair and a small lap desk.

Yelp
Perfect location if you are going to a game. Jennifer was an absolute treasure checking us in, and she made sure we had a beautiful view. The Green Line Arlington station is less than a block away, so hop-on, hop-off two stops later at Kenmore Square for some Fenway therapy. They have a nice bar that stays open late, so we were able to grab a drink after the game. We flew in & took the T from Logan almost to the front door of the hotel. I mean, it really doesn't get better than that. It was a perfect experience. Jennifer alone is worth 10 stars.

Yelp
"I'm a sailor peg And I lost my leg I'm shipping up to Boston To find my wooden leg" (Dropkick Murphys) Great location in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood - just a few hundred feet from the Boston Common, Swan boats, and Public Garden. There are hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment choices within easy walking distance. Beacon Hill and the Theater District are less than a half-mile away. We stayed here for a conference and spent a lot of time in their function rooms, i.e. Hancock, Clarendon, Tremont, Exeter, and Georgian. We had a Welcome Party in a gorgeous space known as The Square and a beautiful banquet in their Avenue 34 Ballroom. Our group catered meals were all very good -the breakfasts and lunch in the Arlington/Berkeley/Clarendon rooms and the fancy dinner for 120+ in Avenue 34 (the short ribs were great!). The staff was very helpful setting up our microphones, AV and streaming equipment to broadcast our meetings to members that didn't make the trip to Boston. Our hotel room itself was very comfortable with a big flat screen TV and a zillion satellite stations, a nice work desk, a big comfortable bed, excellent Wi-Fi and temperature control, a K Cup machine, plenty of outlets and a very large bathroom with a good shower. The only odd thing we noticed was the lack of a couch or sofa in what was advertised as a suite. We needed help lugging in a SUV full of boxes, luggage, and garment bags, and the hotel staff and parking personnel were very helpful during our arrival and departure. I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza.

Yelp
Pros: Great location. Beautiful historic building. Water filter on each floor was a huge win. Cons: Crazy prices ($300, $400 a night). "Updated" but not maintained. Floors smelled musty and were carpeted. Mold in our bathroom. Daily "resort" fee that really doesn't provide much. I did write something similar in my exit feedback, and they immediately waived the daily resort fee and gave me a few Hilton points. Not enough to change my rating, but at least they were trying to be proactive with a mediocre stay.

Yelp
I choose this hotel for its central location. The hotel is walkable to many attractions and nightlife. The lobby is modern, however, the rooms are a bit small and outdated. I purposely did not book the 'wicked small room', however, even the standard queen is tiny. The staff is really nice so I might stay here again but I would definitely opt for a larger room.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay and it was my first time in Boston and we experienced a real New England winter. It's close walk to everything and I ventured to the North End for some amazing Italian food, walked by TD Garden during the Four Nations Face Off, toured all the amazing historic parts/buildings, and went shopping on Newbury Street. Great location and even better room service.

Yelp
Had a good stay here for 4 nights for business. The lobby is spacious and there's a beautiful bar and restaurant right in the middle. There's also an adjoining Starbucks and Lynx fitness center which guests have free access to. The Starbucks can get crowded but they take online orders through the app, so I recommend ordering from there. I did not get a chance to visit Lynx, but I heard it's spacious and even has a golf simulator. Pros: -Clean rooms -Friendly, professional staff -Excellent location. Plenty of restaurants nearby along with convenience stores for food/drinks. -Good drinks from the bar -Fast elevators -Handful of movie channels on TV -Comfortable bed -Good water pressure in bathroom Cons: -Room is a little crammed. 1-2 people might be ok, but might be too tight for an additional child. -Area is noisy, so bring ear plugs. -WIFI was a bit unreliable as it had to be reconnected each time after exiting property It's a Hilton brand property and lives up to the standards. I would stay here again in the future.

Yelp
I wish I could say good things about this Hilton. The bed was super comfy, the room was clean. So props to housekeeping, at least. I should note up front that I'm a Hilton Honors member, Diamond, and have stayed at a wide range of Hilton properties all over the world. That frames the context of my review and expectations. We had come to Boston for a Valentine's Day overnight. I wanted something special, and we used a blended points/pay balance to reserve a king premium deluxe room. These are larger rooms with the best amenities. When it came time to check in, I used the app and picked my room. I usually study the floor plan in the app, and look for proximity to elevator (I don't want that), ice makers and other noise sources, etc. I also check to try to get the highest floor possible. I selected what is marked as 7079, and thought we were good. When we got to the hotel, the first off-putting moment happened. We pulled up to what definitively looked like the entrance to the hotel. We were parked in a zone that the signs clearly indicated were "valet parking" (the only kind the hotel provides) and we got out and started to unload the car. A bell person came over in the classic doorman's coat and hat, and said, "No no, you can't park here. Are you staying here?" And we said yes, but he said, "This is not the valet, the valet is on the other side." I looked at him, the signs and entrance trying to comprehend why you would set up for navigation to lead people to a door that was clearly marked "valet", only to not have that be the case. But we took his little map and followed it to get us around to the larger valet entrance on the other side. There we were able to get the car relinquished and get our belongings out and go check in. Of course we were early so I had no expectations that the room would be ready, but did go to the reception to check in so they knew we were there. The room wasn't ready but would be in 40 minutes or so. So after my spouse retrieved misplaced glasses from the car with the valet, he joined me at the bar. I initially however, tried to get a table to sit at. The lobby bar and restaurant is in an open area of the lobby, and the tables were all empty but set for lunch. I went to a deuce to sit as we wanted to do some work on our laptops while we waited for the room. A lady swooped in to say I couldn't sit there, that the restaurant didn't open until noon (it was about 11:37 am). I said, well can't I still sit here and then when it opens we can order something? But she said no, we had to be at the bar, or leave. So to the bar it was, where they had one side with the lower bar that you could sit at more like a table, and do work on a laptop. Maybe it was just the experiences stacking on top of each other, but the bartender seemed to convey an attitude of "oh bother, customers", as if we were an inconvenience. I ordered a beer and my spouse a rose sparkling wine. The room now ready we settled and went to check in. That part went well enough and I was given the keys to room 7079, the room I had selected on the map. We went up, only to find that the room I saw on the map was apparently now renumbered 7081, and 7079 a smaller room on the other side, a short distance away (marked as 7077 on the app, and not the premium deluxe level I had paid for). People were in 7081, with the door propped open and lots of people going in and out, part of a conference event that was taking place there. The room was good enough and I realized that trying to change or fix it was probably not going to be possible. We went out to do things and enjoy the city and a nice Valentine's Day dinner. We returned to the room around 8:30 pm, with a lot of folks in the hall by the other room, all with conference badges around their necks, talking loudly. We went to our room and when they saw how close we were they quieted down. For about 10 minutes. Then it got loud again. After about 10 minutes I stepped out to ask them to be quiet, that there were other guests at the hotel, and they should go in a room if they wanted to talk; the hallway wasn't appropriate. That lasted about another 15-20 minutes. I messaged in the app and via Diamond text but had no response for over an hour. So we called to the front desk, and had to do so twice. Finally, after security had supposedly been dispatched 2-3 times, and telling the guests again ourselves, they quieted down around 11:30 pm, well past the conventional 10 pm "quiet hours". Good thing we got a late check out at least, so we could sleep in and get rest. I had hopes the Park Plaza could be our new standard hotel for Boston. But after this stay, I don't plan to return to this property ever again. You should consider other, better options too. If you DO choose to stay here, remember that the map of the floor plan is wrong.

Yelp
Great location and wonderful classic architecture. Though I would be very cautious of the "wicked small" room and would heed why management is bluntly honest about the size & descriptors of the room.

Yelp
Extremely Disappointed -- This Hotel Needs Serious Improvement I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel after seeing the beautiful photos on their website, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what was advertised. We checked in on Saturday, October 18th, and took the elevator to the 5th floor. The hallway carpets were visibly dirty and worn, especially in front of the room doors. Upon entering our first room, we were immediately met with a strong odor -- it smelled like a wet dog had been living there for weeks. We returned to the front desk and requested a different room. To their credit, the staff did apologize and provided keys to another room on the 9th floor. While this second room smelled strongly of bleach, it was at least cleaner than the first. However, the issues continued. The room was very small, and the bathroom was old and poorly maintained. The bathtub appeared to have been refinished, but the coating was chipping away. The toilet seat was installed crooked, and the toilet itself looked like something from a public restroom. The worst part of the stay came on Monday morning. After breakfast, I returned to find housekeeping cleaning the bathroom. To my shock, the housekeeper was using the toilet brush to scrub the bathtub. When I asked her to stop, she continued cleaning the sink and toilet with the same yellow microfiber cloth and was about to use it on the bedside tables. At that point, I asked her to leave the room. As if that wasn't enough, on Wednesday morning around 3:15 a.m., we woke up early to catch our flight. Just minutes later, the fire alarm went off while my husband was in the shower -- loud sirens, flashing lights, and a voice announcing that everyone needed to evacuate the building. Then, without any explanation, the alarm suddenly stopped. I opened the door to check the hallway but didn't see or smell anything unusual. Since we were already packed, we went downstairs to the lobby, where over a hundred guests were waiting in line for the elevators to return to their rooms. Everyone was saying it had been a false alarm, yet no official announcement was ever made to confirm that. Between the poor maintenance, questionable cleaning practices, and lack of communication during a potential emergency, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel. The property desperately needs improvements across the board -- from cleanliness and safety to basic guest communication

Yelp
I arrived last night and asked the lady at the desk if there was somewhere I could post up and do some work so I don't keep my roommates awake. She suggested the library to the left of the lobby. What a fantastic recommendation! I wish all hotels had a library. It's an inspiring place to work being surrounded by books while seated in a high backed arm chair. While here, I can say something for certain, the night crew is fantastic. I unfortunately became hungry after the hotel's kitchen and the neighboring Irish bar's kitchen had closed. I spoke with Sean/Shawn at the front desk who recommended I take a walk to the 4th wall, and it did not disappoint. When I returned, he offered me a bottle of water. Shortly thereafter, I spoke with another gentleman, whose name I didn't catch, and asked about a microwave; he offered to have it sent up right away. All around great customer service! I'm a night owl, and I used to work night shifts at a hospital, so, I know how different things can be between day and night shift. In my opinion, night shift workers are either a blast, or cranky (from working against most people's normal diurnal cycles). I'm grateful that the night shift staff here is the former. I can't speak to the day shift crew, since I haven't met them yet, but the night crew has set the bar high. Thank you Hilton night crew for being so welcoming to a fellow night owl.

Yelp
So this hotel has a lot of mixed reviews. I picked it because the location is great for first time visitors. Yes, the hotel rooms are small. I thought ours might be a bit bigger because we booked the king superior room. It was fine for two people but I can't imagine how small the wicked small rooms are. Our flight arrived early and after an early start to our day, we were totally ok with paying $50 to check in at noon. For those not wanting to spend that, they can hone your bags for you. It was rainy when we first got there so we were grateful to regroup in our room. The room was clean, housekeeping was great. The toilet paper holder was in a terrible spot in the cramped bathroom. The TV also was in a bit of an odd place directly in the right hand corner of the room and not centered in front of the bed. So many great options within walking distance. Boston Common and the Public Garden are so close to the hotel. Was great to spend a portion of each day there. Newberry street is not far for those looking to do high end shopping. Several spots for the freedom trail are easily accessible. Cheers bar is a short walk and there are stops for the old trolley tour nearby. Back bay neighborhood is a great neighborhood for first time visitors to Boston looking to do touristy things. Is this hotel a bit dated, yes. According to our uber driver, it is the oldest hotel Boston.

Yelp
This first section of my review is for the Lobby Bar: Fortunately, the "Off the Common" lobby restaurant was still serving food. DH had a bacon cheeseburger that we shared. He described the burger as 'glorious'. I ordered the clam chowder. It was delicious too. The service and the surroundings were both splendid. The only regret was not ordering the Lobster Roll - I'm sure it would have been fantastic too. (We never saw it during our trip again!) For dessert. We had a fabulous Boston Cream Pie. Yumm! Thank you to our waitress! The 2nd section is for the Hotel: Negatives . . . The bathroom, was the first place we went and we couldn't find the light switch! It was 3 minutes later, did we find it. It was hidden behind the bedroom lamp shade. The toilet paper holder, I just hate that! Each time I use it, the paper falls off to the floor. The shade, you can be seen as 'shadow' if the lights are on, from the neighbors across. Beware going naked inside, or making love! There were no Kleenex in our room, the box was empty. I have to go down to the lobby to ask for one. There was no toilet paper, too. We have to put one on the holder. We didn't know, the employees have been on strike for the 4th day, and we met them as we board the bus, in the morning we were leaving. Other than that: The bed was comfortable. The shower flow perfect, except there was no handrail, to hang onto, while I use a washcloth on me. There were lots of shampoo & body wash, and extra towel for my wet hair. The pillows, put me to cloud heaven. This is the Hilton! What? No Hot Cocoa? Yes, you heard me. We have to go to Starbucks for that!

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza! Jennifer was really great at check in. Loved the location. Happy that there was a Starbucks right there. Staff was friendly. Can't remember the bellman's name who helped us but he was great. Only downside was the size of the bathroom. Understand it is a hotel in a big city.

Yelp
One of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a very long time. Numerous problems with the first room and was moved to another room which wreaked of cleaning fluid and had other problems . You can call repeatedly to the front desk and never reach a human. Avoid this place at all cost

Johnny D.

Yelp
The TOILET is IN the SHOWER. Pic below. The entire bathroom - sink, commode, shower is about 25 sq ft Not even Yankees fans should be made to stay in this 300+ dollar a night room. Ok...yes they should. The room is So small you can't walk across the room- you have to 'Crab" slide to navigate from one side of bed to other. The small coffee machine is ON THE FLOOR. There is no closet. The bed itself is fine but tarnished by the rest of 'room'. The common areas and people are nice actually - but you don't need to pay for a room to experience those. Maybe if it was 29 dollars a night. But it's 300+ A NIGHT.

Yelp
Sitting in the main lobby in front of the Check in Registration and discovered that on every Fridays the have a table set up manned with their Hotel Staff with FABULOUS FRIDAYS DESERTS from 3-4 pm And you can choose what suits your pleasure! The staff is very attentive and very clean and accommodating! Was a nice perk for and afternoon here on Friday!

Yelp

Yelp
I've stayed here often when I was in town. It's a beautiful property, location is perfect, close to Boston Commons and Newbury Street. Rooms here are various sizes and perfect for those short business stays here in Boston. I usually have great stays here but this time I had an odd encounter in customer service with the front desk. I was on the phone inquiring about an issue and the individual was not very kind and abrupt. I understand maybe they were busy but they just weren't nice at all. I feel there is a way to speak to your customers and no need to be rude otherwise you may be in the wrong career. Anyway, there usually is a high turnover rate in the hotel industry. Sadly I don't think he'll last long here as most people here are kind and compassionate.

Yelp
Although our stay started a little rocky--my original room was on the smaller side (and I'm not a big guy)--the staff at Hilton Park Plaza went above and beyond to turn it around. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care made it clear that I mattered to them as a guest. As a Diamond Club member, I spend 98% of my hotel nights with the Hilton family, only stepping outside that circle when absolutely necessary. This experience reminded me exactly why: Hilton hotels consistently deliver not just quality, but heart. Special thanks to the team at Park Plaza for making me feel seen, valued, and taken care of. I'll absolutely be back!

Yelp
Disappointed by my stay, definitely not up to Hilton standards. The room was in rough shape: peeling wallpaper, a worn-out tub, and a loud commercial-style toilet. The whole space felt more like a budget motel than a Hilton. Even small things were off, no coat rack, no door seals, and the only painting was oddly placed behind a lamp. The air conditioning was a major issue. It didn't work when we arrived, and after several uncomfortable nights and a call to the front desk, we were given a fan. Only later did maintenance turn on the coolant (no idea why it was off), and even then, it took two more days to cool the room. The amenities were equally disappointing. The convenience store had outrageous prices with no visible pricing, forcing me to ask the cashier about everything. We were charged a resort fee that included a daily $15 dry cleaning credit (enough to clean one shirt) that you couldn't roll it

Yelp
Pros: * Great location (central to the city and many activities are close by, like Boston Commons and Quincy Market) * The rooms were nice. I could die for the pillows, there was free coffee, cups, and coffee condiments, and there was free lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. * There was free, refillable water station at the end of our hallway. * You get a $15 comp for meals or drinks once a day at the hotel restaurant, Off the Common. * There's an in-house gym and a Starbucks attached to the hotel. * Our front desk clerk gave us a free meal, just to be nice, because it was my birthday. To note: * The tub would've been better if it was updated. * The area outside the hotel can be quite loud at night. Overall score: A-

Yelp
Arrived a few days before my convention in town. My union branch booked this property for their delegates. I was able to book dates prior to delegates arriving- which is a separate booking. And still be able to keep the same room for the duration of the entire stay. It is beautiful in the lobby and in my 15th floor room! I had a double queen with a beautiful view facing Columbus Ave & Stuart Street. My first room in the 15th was perfect until the second day I was having issues with my in room safe. Security was sent and exchanged the batteries. I was told there could still become a possible issue with the door and the battery coils that may have some rust. Fast forward- I wasn't able to get my secured items in the safe. Security was called again. The door would have to be placed. And I didn't want to keeping lugging these items that could we placed in the safe, on my daily tasks away from the hotel. I was able to get a different room because of the inconvenience on the same floor, on the same side of the property. Thank goodness, I was accommodated before more delegates from our union & other guests arrived. There is a mini fridge in each room. I know the Hilton website doesn't mention that. And there's shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash/ and lotion dispensers in the bathroom. You'll find a water bottle faucet on every floor, next to the elevators. Uber tends to have their pick up location on the Columbus Ave side of the property where you'll find the valet area. Arlington green line is a straight shot to Fenway. Rhe green line will connect you to many destinations around town. And you'll find a Trader Joe's around the corner from Arlington & Boylston. I would definitely come back to this property. It's a block away from Boston Commons park & Chinatown.

Yelp
Three nights in Boston on mixed business / family trip and picked the Boston Park Plaza for location. Enjoyed this full service hotel. Nice common area with warm bar and great service, also where you have breakfast. Full service Starbucks, not kiosk, just off lobby. Third party "real" gym (fee included for guests). This is really nice. We picked full size rooms after reading about "wicked small" rooms, that were less, on Yelp. Rooms were really nice. One night I had a car and parked in self parking garage $40 vs $67 for valet. Self park is short walk, but know in and out.

Yelp
The location is great. Walkable to a lot of cool spots. there for conference. Warning for prospective guests- One problem that made for so much distress- a large cockroach that appeared March 15th in the morning- I would not consider staying or eating at this location. Made for anxiety with the rest of our stay and harder to take in the work conference learning and even our after conference exploring of the city, We had to order cockroach spray and ensure all things were sprayed before bringing our luggage into our home post vacation, which is not the preferred activity upon arriving home from a three hour flight. We did bring to hotel staff- We were offered to switch rooms- which we declined because the cockroach came through the vent and obviously there are more throughout - also received Hilton points- but with the price and the length of our stay, not worth the rupture, distress and extra work post stay.

Yelp
This is a horrible hotel with old outdated smelly rooms, terrible customer service at the front desk and they have no amenities such as a pool or minibar but charge high amenity fees. Avoid at all costs

Yelp
1000/5 stars. The staff here is amazing. The two men at the front desk helped me out and were such kind, amazing people! I needed two dollars to tip my van driver and all the atms were closed due to the fact that it was 5am. They were so quick to pull money out of THEIR OWN pockets and insisted I took it. I cannot believe how unnecessarily kind they were. I will definitely pass on the kindness!:)

Yelp
When you walk in to the hotel- the lobby is gorgeous. The bar is stunning. Even the elevators are gorgeous. But the rooms do not match the lobby at all. The rooms were rusty in corners. They definitely just have buckets of paint somewhere and just layer over imperfections without actually fixing it. It's dusty and had an unclean feel. The housekeeping staff however are so nice and very fast. It's also a spectacular location. Just walking distance from the Boston commons, Cheers, lots of restaurants. There also a Starbucks attached so you don't have to venture into the cold. Arlington train line is just a block away.

Yelp
The other reviews are spot on! More of a 2 star hotel experience than 4, and the fact that they try to claim otherwise is insulting. The location is nice. Housekeeping works like dogs and does a good job, but there is only so much they can do with permanent stains and peeling walls. Staff at the front desk were very nice. While I understand that the building is old so the rooms are small - I did not book one of those crazy small rooms - and it was still the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I couldn't go to the bathroom without closing the bathroom door. Fixtures, carpeting, walls were just old and begging for repair. No ventilation in the bathrooms means it smelled damp and musty. The AC worked, and the room was quiet since I got one far from the elevator.

Yelp
At 5 AM I was awoken by a very strange smell. I couldn't determine where it came from. I was smelling different objects and I tried to go back to sleep. The smell was too strong so I got out of bed and took deep breaths, trying to determine where the smell was coming from. It was everywhere. The bathroom, the hotel room, the bed, my clothes... Everywhere. I opened the door to the hallway, still smelled the odor and didn't see anyone in the hallway. I wondered if I was imagining it. My 8 year old was sleeping soundly. That's when I finally called the front desk to tell them that I smelled a strange smell and I was having trouble breathing. I started feeling dizzy and my heart was beating fast. They sent someone to do a "well check" on me. I grabbed my daughter, and went out to the hallway with her. When the security person came (wonderful Talia- she was the BEST), she smelled it from the hallway. My daughter and I sat on the couch by the elevator. IT WAS AN AMMONIA LEAK FROM THE MINI FRIDGE. Talia stayed with us. Justin, the engineer, came and tried to enter the room, wearing a gas mask. He said he could not go inside because his eyes were burning. What if I hadn't woken up? I cried thinking about the possibilities. Was my daughter okay? Was I okay? They called the paramedics and fire department. Hazmat came. I opted out of going to the hospital so my daughter could sleep. She had no symptoms. They put us in a different room. I wasn't able to sleep when we came to our new room. I was scared something else would leak. Talia brought our things to the room around 7am. She informed us that anything "soft should be washed multiple times or thrown away". My jacket and my daughter's backpack still smelled like ammonia, but it was a cold day and she needed her backpack for the flight home. Someone opened our room door around 9am, said sorry and closed it. There was a very loud noise off and on since then. It sounded like an industrial carpet cleaner or construction. I called Emilio, the manager. He comped our room and offered for us to return for a free night. No thank you. He gave me points so I could stay at another Hilton. I don't want to stay in another hotel for a while- def not a Hilton. They are replacing the things we had to throw away. My daughter and I could have been extremely injured (or worse). Thankfully, I'm getting help with my health and on my way to feeling well again. Thankfully, my daughter is symptom free and I pray her lungs remain unaffected. However, my first trip with my 8 year old daughter was ruined. I did not want to pursue litigation, but Emilio has been ignoring my calls so... I want to be heard and respected. Go ahead and look up what could happen if you inhale ammonia from a mini fridge leak. You can't make a business have morals, but the high disregard for their guests is disgusting. Emilio, other managers and investors, what if this happened to you or your partner and child? I suggest, Hilton, that you use some of your revenue and replace your dangerous absorption mini fridges if you care at all about your guests' health and safety. Sadly, I'm sure this is falling on deaf ears.

Yelp
from 10 PM to 2 AM there was a dance party in the ball room just below us on the 5th floor...my boyfriend and I had to wear noise canceling headphones in order to sleep, not to mention the inconsiderate guests that were loud in the hallway. absolute horrible experience and our room was the size of a closet. Will NEVER stay here again

Yelp
I was apprehensive about the mixed reviews, so wanted to share my opinion. I booked a "Wicked Tiny Room" through super.com at the last minute, and my experience was definitely worth the price! As a 5'3", 115 lb woman who lives in a studio apartment, I had no problem with the small room size. I stayed by myself, but I can see how it would be difficult for a couple and/or larger people. For example, I didn't bother to close the bathroom door, since it is VERY TINY in there. That would obviously not be an option if I were sharing, which is something to consider. However, the room was cute, clean, and efficient. My experience checking in with hotel staff and at the bar was great. This was a perfect short stay, and the location can't be beat!

Yelp
Great location. But the check in process takes a long time. The room I got was corner or two streets and you could hear sirens and construction next door. Asked for a new room , took a while again but got one with probably the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. Then the next day my keys would not work because they locked me out. Something to do with when they gave me the new room. They never changed the details. Had to have a security finally escort me to the room since I had my bags from the night before. The lobby is nice and can get very busy. Breakfast lines is not worth it. Drinks at the bar are expensive and small. The waiters at the bar don't smile or check. There was $35 destination charge per day. Not sure why. the customer service or front desk takes forever to pick up the phone. Overall disappointed.

Yelp
First, the pros: great front desk staff, beautiful lobby areas, fantastic location. Now the con: the room was just not up to the marketing. It wasn't small, but felt half decorated - huge blank white wall spaces with nothing on them made them feel like a cheap airport room. Besides a bed and a dresser with tv on it and a chair - there was nothing else. No desk, no anything that could have made it feel a tiny bit more like a $400/night hotel. It was almost as if it were unfinished. The pull up shades in the one small window were ripped. Just a bizarre experience for a flagship location property. Will definitely go Marriott next time.

Yelp
The hotel looks very nice and conveniently located. But our check in experience was a lady we could barely hear and was less than welcoming. We entered our room and the "closet" had a curtain as opposed to a door of some kind. The room was dated especially the bathroom. The ice machine was out on our floor. In the morning we heard radios and conversations waking us up at 6:30. I could go on. Overall, other than a motel ? Worst hotel experience, especially for the price range.

Yelp
I had a work conference and they usually frequent Hilton so it was a no brainer to choose this hotel for the conference. Upon arrival it was loud because a protest was happening right in front of the hotel. The hotel attendant was kind and took care of me pretty quickly. I went to my room and I usually check the room before I start to settle in. There was food left in the refrigerator. You can tell the room was older as well. The bathroom has blonde strands of hair on the towels, in the bathtub and on the door. I called the front desk and they sent the house cleaner to take care of it. I immediately asked for another room. I went to my second room and that room was also dirty. I asked the house cleaner to wipe the night stand which had crumps. There was also a wrapper and a q-tip on the floor in the room. Again, you can tell the room was old, rust, paint chip. Just not kept well at all. The bed was pretty comfortable and I had a make do since the conference was for a week. Luckily, I didn't spend too much time in the room, but very much disappointed in this Hilton experience. The hotel receptionist did offer me a complimentary dinner for the inconvenience. The protest went on for a few more days and finally before leaving they were able to settle the protest. That was a great outcome for the protesters and for the customers in the hotel. I know everyone else had their own issues as well, so we weren't necessarily happy here, but we had to make it work. I wouldn't stay here again though and I don't necessarily recommend.

Yelp
I found the "Wicked Small Room" charming in its wicked smallness. Yes, my friend and I laughed that we couldn't walk across the room in opposite directions without one of us climbing over the bed. So what? You can't say the hotel is guilty of false advertising! All of the staff-- front desk, restaurant/room service, etc.-- were very nice and seemed to be well trained too. Everything I experienced at the hotel worked very well, and everything was clean. I also appreciated the holiday decorations; the whole lobby/common area has the perfect vibe.

Yelp
Beautiful historic building close to EVERYTHING! Fast check in. Friendly staff during check in and out. They took care of all my concerns. Doormen were helpful and kind. Waiter in the bar was not happy we sat at a table for 5 minutes and didn't order a drink. We had breakfast provided in a banquet room each morning. Food was mediocre and the staff was quick to pack up and break down tables while we finished eating. Maybe don't book so close together if that was the issue. Our room was decent. It could use an update. We had an issue with room service, too, but the desk made it right for us. I'd stay again.

Yelp
I never write reviews, so this is really just to warn fellow travelers: The wicked small queen room is not well explained on the website. They list a square footage but that doesn't mean much to a lay person.. The photos don't do it justice. My brother set up the reservations - I didn't read any reviews - we picked the Hilton since it felt like a safe bet and we even paid more than many other hotels in the area. We each paid over $400 per night (we had two rooms) for what I would describe as an 8x8 walk in closet masquerading as a hotel room. I have stayed in hotels in old buildings all over the world and I have never seen a room this tiny. There was no place to put your suitcase, the closet was a 15" wide cabinet. So we had to open the suitcase, get what we wanted out, then close it and stand it back up so we could have room to walk to the bathroom. The shower was at most 18" wide, you have to turn sideways in it to fit - I'm not joking. Honestly the room was so uncomfortable we avoided spending time there and dreaded going back. Cleaning staff did great. Check in was fine. Another reviewer had a similar issue in the lobby bar. We stopped in for a drink after dinner - the bar was packed with convention people so we sat at a table in the middle of the bar area - after sitting there for 20-30 minutes, an employee came up and shooed us away as the table was set for breakfast the next morning. Why would you have these tables set in the middle of the bar? It felt so awkward and unwelcoming to be sent away. I don't run a hotel but it seems like running guests off for your own convenience would be a no. To anyone looking at the space they would appear to be IN the bar and for the bar patrons. They should at least put a "reserved" sign on the table or something rather than expect people to understand this bizarre setup. Or maybe wait to set the tables until after the bar closes so people have a place to sit? It happened on our last night so it was just the cherry on top of a very meh experience and it's what finally pushed me to actually write a review. The location was decent, but kind of far from some of the historical sites for tourism, but close enough to Newbury St and the Common. I like walking but some of the people with us thought it was too far. I think this hotel does a lot of convention business and they focus on that - it is not the charming historic hotel you might think, it's more of a churn and burn. Overall it just didn't fit the expectations any of us had - especially the room size.

Yelp
I do have to say the front desk was in touch today to credit me with a free nights stay through points. I just have to be convinced risking another night in a dirty bed is worth it

Yelp
Here I am at the Park Plaza Hilton, trying to get some sleep after a long day of travel. I just went down to the front desk to try to remedy this situation: I am paying for, and was told at check-in I was getting a King Superior room. I am sleeping on a queen-size bed without the amenities their website shows as distinguishing a King Superior from their Wicked Small Queen room (namely, a desk, a mini fridge, and - shockingly - a king bed). The women at the front desk were very nice, but simply insisted that I'm getting the room I booked and am paying for. After repeating several times that "I have a queen bed, I don't have a desk, and I don't have a fridge, the room is the size of a shoebox," the manager admitted that there are no desks in even the King Superior and that the website is misleading. They offered to bring up a fridge, but the only place I can see they could put it is on the small patch of floor near the bed. This room is TINY. I asked them to come with me to see the room, citing possible misindexing of the room in their computer system, and was told by the manager that she has seen all the rooms and knows I'm in the right one. Further, they text upon check-in with a link to the hotel amenities. I perused the menu of the lobby restaurant and decided to have dinner there. The bill was considerably larger than I expected, and when I compared it to the menu on the website, the prices were significantly higher. When I inquired about that, I was told they hadn't updated the website they *send to all their guests* with the higher prices. I hate feeling like a cheapskate, chasing all these discrepancies, but I hate even more that they are so sloppy - possibly fraudulent - in their published products and pricing.

Yelp
They get a star for the aesthetically pleasing lobby and the professionalism of the desk staff. The room I had was cramped and there was a grey flannel curtain that hid the very tiny closet. My luggage I'd next to my bed! Need I go on for $300 per night!

Yelp
Ovepriced, poorly maintained. rooms are miniscule. Hotel was so crowded, unable to get attention to any detail.

Yelp
I am honestly insulted at the prices they charge for this place. The lobby is nice but the rooms are in dire need of renovation. I was here during their staff protest and the banging on buckets and chanting can be heard all the way up on the 11th floor with the windows up. To be fair the hotel did adjust my rate to try to make it right but the room they switched me to had a toilet that was installed askew. I know you must be wondering what in the world I'm talking about so I attached a photo. I honestly didn't think this was possible but there it is. The temporary staff they used to cover for the people on strike were terrible. I mean it's like they just hired them off the street. No one knew how to do anything, especially a couple of the young guys that work the front desk. They could not care less about your problems. If you are planning on spending some money on a stay in Boston, I would STRONGLY encourage you to look elsewhere. This hotel is dated as can be and you would do better to stay at the Hyatt Regency near the commons.
