Hilton Budapest

"A UNESCO World Heritage Site with a Baroque facade, this former Dominican church in the Royal Castle District looks onto the Danube and is close to medieval attractions such as Matthias Church. With "views to die for," the "clean and comfortable rooms" are decorated in white and cream tones. "Music wafts through the night air from the evening entertainment at the castle and surrounding plaza—delightful!" Icon uses local ingredients in dishes such as duck breast with lavender-scented panna cotta, though there are "great restaurants within strolling distance." "Staff treated us like royalty."

A Wonderful Stay!||The room was clean with comfortable bed. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities with bathrobe and slippers. The breakfast was excellent!||The location was fantastic! You can have a beautiful view of the city from the rooftop. ||It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the sightseeing bus. However, you can take the Official Budapest Castle Bus which you can take just outside the hotel or a taxi. ||Highly recommended!

I've reviewed the Hilton Budapest several times since our first stay in 2013 and it continues to impress us every time.||This was our first time visiting Budapest during the Christmas season and we were bringing family with us and we wanted to impress. Hilton did it all for us! Our rooms, were clean, quiet, and comfortable and the service at every interaction was impeccable. Everyone had an amazing time. Our relatives are still talking about the trip and the first thing they say is "The Hilton was wonderful!" ||Special thanks to Jolina and her staff at the front desk. They set the tone for exceptional service and the rest of the hotel staff follow through. They are professional, helpful, and welcoming. And they even let me practice my Hungarian. (and I'm TERRIBLE, but they let me try it anyway)||Breakfast is fantastic with excellent service and offerings that will satisfy everyone. I'd like to extend a thank you to the chef for my perfectly poached eggs. Perfection!

This particular Hilton is probably my favorite location of any other Hilton I have stayed at. It is located in the Castle District of Budapest. Yes, you read that correctly. CASTLE. You begin the ascent at the bottom of the mountain and slowly drive up to the top where the hotel is situated, literally built into the side of a castle. Your first step out of the car and you are swept away by the raw beauty of the stone walls and streets. There’s not a piece of trash in sight. The entire area is immaculate. Hilton Budapest is opulent, historic, fanciful, immensely romantic, quiet, completely luxurious, and one of the most memorable and beautiful hotels I have ever visited. Just outside the hotel are other historic sites such as the Old Castle, Buda Castle, and the cathedral. Breathtaking views of Parliament and the Danube River. Make Hilton Budapest a stop during your European travels. You’ll never forget it.

The hotel was beautifully decorated, and was extremely interesting. The rooms were well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and it was extremely quiet. Our room faced Mathias church and had a view of Fisherman's Bastion. The location of the hotel is fabulous! We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Our view for dinner was the Parliament Building as the lights came on. Romantic!

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. We stopped in room 380 and the view was spectacular.|The room was wonderful and comfortable. The executive lounge is worth every penny. We had the use if the free canapes and drinks every evening.|Gyongyi Fodor was the best waitress ever. She worked so hard and attentive to our needs. What a wonderful Lady, an asset to the hotel.|The hotel is fitted round the old monastary, genious.|Loved every minute.|Not too sure about the rooftop bar. The view was amazing up there but the service charges were not.

Very nice 5-star hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Washroom was also very spacious and clean with high end amenities. Bed was comfortable. Food was excellent, morning buffet breakfast has lots of varieties and services were very good.

First and foremost, a very good hotel. The interior is tastefully designed, breakfast is great, and the rooms are spotless, spacious, and comfortable. Extra points for the large safe, ample closet space, and a spacious bathroom with a heated mirror. The room had a nice view (see photo). The rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view over Budapest. Service is excellent – from the front desk to the waitstaff. Suggestions for improvement: Serve some snacks with drinks ordered at the bar/sky bar – a nice touch that’s common at many 5-star hotels. Room service, specifically the Late Night Menu, was a big disappointment. The sandwich seemed store-bought and of gas station quality. It wouldn’t cost much to prepare this in advance or train staff to make a few simple dishes. Cost: around €300 – worth it.

Something I wish I would have know before booking this property. The hotel is located on a mountain. Be prepared to walk up a million stairs at a steep incline lol That being said, this property was absolutely amazing! The executive lounge was top notch, so many great food and beverage options. The furniture was so comfortable. When I left Budapest I went to another Hilton property where their executive lounge made me appreciate the one in Budapest so much more. Room was great. I kid you not, the best view I had during all of my trip to Budapest was out of my own window. The Parliament building and river were gorgeous! Not to mention you are right outside the Fisherman's Bastion. Highly recommend this property on your next trip to Budapest
