Business traveler-friendly The property has a well-maintained, elegant, corporate atmosphere that works brilliantly for business travelers but feels equally welcoming for leisure stays. Nonetheless, the hotel felt abnormally empty during our stay, making it a bit more an odd choice for a vacation. But the warm and welcoming staff made the stay very pleasant. LOCATION: The location is genuinely one of the hotel's strongest assets. I could walk to the Durban ICC in literally two minutes, and the famous Golden Mile beachfront is just a five-minute drive or a pleasant 15-minute walk away. North Beach is about a kilometer away, perfect for morning runs or evening strolls. The hotel sits in Durban's CBD, which means you're surrounded by restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions like the Kwa Muhle Museum and the City Hall. Kingsmead Cricket Ground and Moses Mabhida Stadium are both within easy reach – the stadium is about 2.7 kilometers away. DINE + DRINK: The hotel offers three dining outlets, which provide a decent variety. The breakfast was an elaborate affair worth waking up for ROOM: We stayed in Room 1502, which was a EXECUTIVE SUITE, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough with a nice Living Room area with dining section and a huge bedroom section; VIEW: Lovely view of the KINGSMEAD cricket stadium, the football standium and the entire sprawling city (and even the ocean front) from the room!; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Good-sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Wonderful spa-quality toiletries by CRABTREE and EVELYN brand FACILITIES: Very good Gym with a full range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines perfect for a full-on workout. They also have a swimming pool on site. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to THANDEKA for enhancing our stay! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

The quality of the carpet 😭❤️🔥👑 The cleaners won't touch to take your things. But to organize them. Had bottles of liq, some open and non was tasted i can assure that. Had coins and notes, counted them and left them as if not counted, 7 days days of peace and a beautiful view. Best breakfast🔥🔥🔥🔥 Hilton is a total 5 star.

My highlight is definitely the food.|There is not a single dish that has not been enjoyable,ranging from the fish, butter chicken or mutton curry. One simply cannot resist going for seconds.|The staff has been simply phenomenal, professional and very friendly and customer focused.|We did have elements of slow service, which i must say management quickly addressed. I highly recommend the Hilton.

The Hilton Durban offers a professional and comfortable stay, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The check-in process was fast and efficient, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel is commendable. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with good facilities throughout. We stayed at the hotel on two separate occasions. While the first stay was pleasant, during our second visit the air-conditioning in the room was not working. When we requested to speak to the manager regarding the issue, we were informed that he was not on site, which was disappointing. Overall, Hilton Durban delivers a clean and well-equipped environment with helpful staff, although there is room for improvement in responsiveness and issue resolution.

Stayed for one night for the Kenny G concert. Check in great 👌 Room was great - no turn down service. Dinner and reception for dinner - extremely disappointing - waited for well over an hour for dinner before they messed up the reservation and booking - we booked on a dinner, bed & breakfast. Got there at 18h30 and received dinner at 19h40. We left the restaurant at 20h00 for the concert. Breakfast at 09h30 and buffet was already running out with constant requests to the waiters for service - poor show Hilton - you can't be 5 star.

Excellent service all round, from the reception, beautiful clean rooms, friendly staff very helpful especially the supervisor I hope I have the ryt name Bonakele Mthembu very welcoming nd friendly lady. Excellent service 10/10

I had a personal item stolen from my room, despite not requesting housekeeping service. Although the Guest Relations Manager initially claimed they would contact me for feedback, they have since avoided my calls and have not followed up. In addition, my colleague experienced a serious security breach when two strangers were mistakenly given access to her room. I am deeply appalled by both the poor service and the complete lack of communication regarding these incidents.
