Hilton Durban

Very convenient hotel. It is perfectly located if you’re attending something at the ICC, the exhibition centre or the cricket stadium. For everything else there are probably better locations. Everything is generally comfortable but for a 5-star hotel there are too many little things that need attention. Overall a decent experience however.

We recently stayed at the Hilton Durban and had a truly fantastic experience. From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Thandeka at reception, who gave us the warmest welcome and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable throughout our stay. ||Her kindness and attention to detail really made all the difference and added a personal touch that we truly appreciated.||The hotel itself is fantastic – clean, modern, and perfectly located. One standout for us was their special suhur menu, thoughtfully prepared for guests who are fasting during Ramadan. It was convenient, delicious, and showed the hotel’s genuine care and consideration for all guests needs during this special time.||Hilton Durban exceeded our expectations, and it’s the incredible service from staff like Thandeka that will definitely bring us back again. Highly recommended!

Mrs Smangele Gcabashe sales manager she is very friendly and always there if anyone needs assistant with anything she will go in extra mile in assisting a guest together with a receptionist or a front desk attendant by the name of justice he is so friendly and very welcoming always willing to go an extra mile and always wanting what is best for the clients .I will definitely recommend your hotel to others and look forward to staying with you again. A total win when visiting this sprawling city and especially the Convention Centre next door! The standard rooms are really big and so comfortable, it's an excellent base. They provide their own amenities in large bottles to avoid waste, and so you don't even need to remember toiletries. Restaurant has a great view and super portion sizes, and I have to give a shout out to Londeka on the desk who went above and beyond to help me get a twin very, very last minute despite the hotel being full! She is an absolute hero.

She remembered us from our previous stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Durban!|| Thandeka consistently delivers brilliant customer service to all guests and makes them feel very special !||Gerri the concierge was extremely helpful and greeted us warmly everyday during our stay||Special mention to Owen the barman , who was very professional and welcoming||Brandon the F&D Manager put together a personalised allergy free food menu that we enjoyed each evening in the restaurant- he also ensured his team were made aware of the food allergy ||Attention to detail and exemplary customer service is why we use the Hilton brand and this particular hotel consistently delivers.||We look forward to our next stay at the Hilton Durban

I stayed at the Hilton for Comrades Marathon. The staff went above and beyond the make the race a great experience for runners. They offered an early 1:00 am breakfast race morning, a carb loaded dinner the night before the race, they had a platter of snacks out in the lobby after the race, and they even kindly brought a pizza up to my room when I was too sore to walk to the lobby. Would highly recommend staying here for Comrades runners.

Been open again for a few months after a 3-year pause due to horrible Covid policies by the govt. The hotel is still in good shape and has a soft-toned elegance. The location isn't the best for walking - Durban is a dangerous city and the hotel is not right on the beach. Service was top notch and the restaurant is on the expensive side, but not shocking. Room is lovely, elegant but not extravagant.

A very pleasant experience. Professional staff at both reception and restaurant with great hospitality, especially Miss Buhle at the restaurant who served us with great service and smile. Breakfast provides great variety of choice and nutrition, and the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Additionally, the treadmill at gym is quite modern and easier to use than other places. Thank you very much for the service.
